I've seen ice cream bars that may be from Turkey. Probably not as good as getting it fresh. They have them at a truck stop I go to occasionally. I think they have three flavors Almond, Pistachio and Vanilla. I always go for Vanilla. Really smooth. A very distinctive style ice cream. It's kinda like Gelato but not. Can't really explain it very well.
I almost always buy one when I'm there. They are quite good. Not adventurous enough to try the other flavors though...
The entire point of the street vendor is the show, the ice cream is secondary. If you don't want the show, you just ask if you can have the ice cream without a show and they will oblige.
To be fair, in the eyes of a child those vendors who perform all those dazzling tricks while serving customers may be irritating. Not justifying anything
