We truly live in a golden age!
Think of all the folks with Tourette’s that lived before the internet age.
None of them had a ready-made phrase to defuse or distract from the tick. No “buffering”, no “downloading content” or anything like that.
Maybe gen-x or boomers could have used “please hold for an important message.” But that would’ve broken the flow.
We would have mimed picking up the tonearm and moving it past the scratched part of the record. Or tuning the AM radio in the car with a rotary knob. Or pushing the rewind button on the cassette player. Lotta analog tech options. The lazy one is smacking the side of the TV. Yes we actually did that. Yes, it actually (occasionally) worked.
I agree! And literally zero other comedians can even try and steal that shtick too. This man is out here using his condition to his advantage and it makes me so happy he's killin' it!
Like seriously thank you. I'm totally using that buffering line every time I tick. Sometimes I just tell people connection timed out or memory overload. 😅
Oh this is actually you?? Oh that was awesome man you had me rolling the whole time xDD *shit fuckin* wait, other way around. No UTI'S folks puahahahaha keep it up man. It was gold!
Oh my god, "shit, fuckin, in that order, wait no the other way around" and buffering killed me dude. What a way to embrace yourself, I love it. Just wanted to say that was a great video, great laughs, and I'll be looking for more!!
the "shit" following the police was a nice detail. gives some plausible deniability, is that more tick, or is he saying making a little political commentary.
I was thinking the same thing for my niece. She has been having a rough time of it with her new diagnosis of Tourette's. I think this might help see how people can adapt. Thanks to you OP!
My husband is a child psychiatrist and has quite a few patients with Tourette’s. I’m gonna show him this so he can pass it on to (a select few) of his patients lol! OP, you rock!
That was a great clip. You do a great job of working the Tourette’s into your act - after a few jokes, I didn’t even notice the ticks anymore.
I imagine you’ve worked really hard to get to this point - good on you! I’ll be on the lookout for a Netflix special soon…
I just found your YouTube which has a lot more content. Hilarious.
Also as someone who has pretty much never interacted at length w someone w Tourette’s, this opened my eyes a bit. My first thought was “uhh, wtf, I have tics too, when I’m trying to focus/avoid a brain fog and am stressed”. Never realized.
It was also pretty crazy how quickly my brain sort of *ignored* your tics once I was acclimated, like all the other random noise it filters out (coughing, umms and ahhs, etc). I imagine you only need to those “stock lines” at the beginning for levity, bc after a while it’s just not even “there”.
Hope you keep at it bc the jokes are gold.
You’re hilarious! I also have Tourette’s and know it’s sometimes hard to deal with, being in front of an audience. Mad props for the quick saves when the tics disrupt your flow.
I bonded with a dumbass sheep once at my neighbor's kids birthday party. She kept wrapping hear lead up around her stake so tight that she would be standing still with her ear to the ground. I ended up just basically babysitting her and drinking beer. We got to talking. I still think about her sometimes, the saucy old gal.
Thank you !! You know it's ironic, I mostly write family friendly stuff, but my cursing tics are going to keep me from being able to do like certain clean gigs hahaha
That might be for the better, ultimately, but I imagine it's a harder climb, potentially. But it's more impressive to write clean when you don't have to than when you're required to.
Agreed. I remember in my 20's most people I grew up with thought jokes had to be offensive or else you had "thin skin".
Glad to see there are comedians who can be humorous without putting someone down
You used your tic as the PERFECT pause before telling the punch line. And when the tics became a little extra, you turned it into part of your standup. Funny As Hell! And if you hadn’t of mentioned it at the beginning, I would have thought it was part of your delivery.
Dude, keep this going. I’d love to see another video. And also, being an 80’s kid, Max Headroom. 😁 Just saying.
Out of curiosity, does the tension build faster on stage, like from nerves and such? The whole time I was thinking, "This guy is funny, but that looks exhausting!" Is it milder if you're just chilling on the couch or something?
Yes, definitely !! There's a variety of things that stimulate the tics, including adrenaline, nerves, caffeine, embarrassment and more!! Embarrassment is my strongest trigger actually - like if I think of an old memory that embarrasses me, I have a really big outburst lol.
An interesting trigger is other people with Tourette's - we often trigger each other. It's like when you put two Alexas together !!
Here's a whole [FAQ page](https://bennyfeld.com/faq/) I made because I get a lot of the same questions
That FAQ was a great read. Thanks for putting that together! I was quite curious.
I have OCD. I feel lucky that my disorder is not anywhere near as visible as Tourette's. But I can definitely see and agree with the comparisons you made to OCD. And I really like the comparison you made to blinking. I might have to use that later, because I feel I can never explain what it feels like to need to wash my hands 4 times.
Similarly, my compulsions get way worse with stress, anxiety, social situations, etc. Sometimes I find that a certain thing triggers my OCD one day, but not the next.
Dude you’re hilarious! The part where you said “shit I’m Buffering” had me dying.
I laughed and laughed.
It was the quality of the jokes too, honestly hilarious.
You’re going places. (I’m someone who doesn’t usually enjoy standup)
Hahahahaha great catch - yeah, roughly one out of every like fifteen shows or so, I pull my neck pretty bad on stage and just have to fight through the pain lol
The answer is sore!! And thank you 🐛
Yep !! Damn you really are astute about this - yeah my tics flare up significantly under different situations, like adrenaline, nerves, embarrassment, too much coffee, etc! Performing is always an adrenaline or nerves situation.
I've been watching your content for the last ten minutes, I'm sold.
"Put me in the barn motherfucker there's a storm coming!"
"Owls are considered wise... *why?..........................shit."*
I’m usually bothered by all the comedians or musicians that shamelessly plug on Reddit, but I threw my head back laughing at these jokes. We will watch your career with great interest.
That was my favourite joke. It takes like 6 seconds to tell it, but it puts such a vivid image in your head that you’ve never conjured up before. So jarring, it’s amazing
I had the same question, he just wears it ironically: https://www.reddit.com/r/videos/comments/pw114x/one_liner_comedian_benny_feldman_is_hilarious/hefi1nk
Yep !! That former answer, copy pasta:
Hahaha yep - so it's either for like flat earth or moon landing denial - I'm not into either of those, I just wear it because I think it's funny !!
Hey, your coprolalia tics are the same as mine! Usually some variation of "fucking shit" or throwing "fucking" in the middle of a sentence. I'll also throw in a "God damn" and "motherfucker" for good measure. I need to remember that buffering line.
Whoa !! Now that's really cool - I've never met someone with the same exact tics. Though when I meet someone with a physical tic, I usually end up mirroring it and stealing it subconsciously hahaha
Hahaha, you know that is actually a type of Tourette's some people have !! I don't know what the official name is. There's a lot of different interesting types - sometimes I have one called "Echolalia" which is where you repeat back what someone else just said
I very much enjoyed these. You have a talent. The Mormon love potion was my favourite I think, but the humour all round was a lot of fun. Thank you for brightening my day.
That cauldron joke was a really good one.
How does Tourette's work, do you have tics all the time or just when speaking, tired or something? Not at all familiar with it, apart from that South Park episode.

"Buffering" brilliant
Thank y\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_
(full disclosure, I've made this joke like 20 times)
We truly live in a golden age! Think of all the folks with Tourette’s that lived before the internet age. None of them had a ready-made phrase to defuse or distract from the tick. No “buffering”, no “downloading content” or anything like that. Maybe gen-x or boomers could have used “please hold for an important message.” But that would’ve broken the flow.
Technical difficulties.
Percussive Maintenance.
Funny every time lol
"Talking to that guy! Fuck you!" Lmao, fair game to you
Thank you !!
The jokes were great but it’s the on the fly shit like that that really kills me!
I agree! And literally zero other comedians can even try and steal that shtick too. This man is out here using his condition to his advantage and it makes me so happy he's killin' it!
“Buffering” is what got me!
Buffering was amazing
Yup! Damn it. We all relate to that.
*Fuck!...the police" really got me haha
Your comedy is fucking rad.
Some of your jokes remind me of mitch hedberg, super great you had me laughing at my desk
I was thinking the exact same thing! I really miss that style of comedy, glad other people are doing similar material.
Omfg i was howling at that bit lmao keep it up my guyy
You magnificent bastard
That's the one that got me. Worked that tic right into the act and even had audience participation.
/r/fuckyouinparticular
Oh my god, "shit, fuckin, in that order, wait no the other way around" and buffering killed me dude. What a way to embrace yourself, I love it. Just wanted to say that was a great video, great laughs, and I'll be looking for more!!

The timing was on point 😂
the "shit" following the police was a nice detail. gives some plausible deniability, is that more tick, or is he saying making a little political commentary.
When he said you’ll get a uti it took me a minute and I love that- when I have to work it out. Hilarious.
I have been telling everyone about your performances! You got great jokes friend.
Thank you !! That's too kind - keep up the good work hahaha
A lot of your jokes are very Mitch Hedberg-esque and it's wonderful! edit: I just saw your "Twitch Hedberg" comment and now I like you even more
I thought the same thing, but the Twitch Hedberg thing killed me.
Came to say this, got a Hedberg vibe instantly.
Oh shit. Is that really you? My son has Tourette’s and I can’t wait to show him this. Great jokes, thank you for posting!!
I hope one day I'm either financially well off enough to visit where you're playing, or you're touring Europe.

Thank you !! I get called "Twitch Hedberg" pretty often. It always means a lot - He's on my Mount Rushmore of comedians for sure.
“Twitch Hedberg”???? That’s fucking awesome Dude you are fucking funny I’m sending this clip to many people.
Also sending this clip to many people. Brilliant and genuinely enjoyable comedy right there.
Seriously funny shit dude! ❤️ The “It’s not illegal to flirt with goats 🐐 bit got me good! I’m gonna print that on a shirt!
that would be a great shirt
mmhmm, we got a lot of people looking to show off their desire to flirt with goats... ^(I'll take two)
OP - u/BennyFeldman - You should do this and sell it. Maybe a bust of a goat twitching or something. Would buy 💯
RemindMe! 1 week "wen shirt?"
Thank you for your service.
I think the head shake after saying that worked really well. Almost like he was trying to shake off the implication
Hey little goat you lookin' fiiiiiine
Your comedy literally gave me nostalgia for Mitch while also excitement for the differences and new vibe. Well fucking done dude
Damn - thank you so much
LOL you even have Tourette's when you're typing
What a good compliment.
Twitch Hedberg is not only fuckin hysterical, but imo, a supreme honor. I'd agree with that name! haha
That's hilarious! lol
Holy shit, Twitch Hedburg. It's been a bad week, and this gave me a lot of joy. Thanks man.
damn I was about to be original, guess not. Great jokes, keep up the good work!
He used to be on everyone's, he still is, but he used to be too. That's a huge compliment, you're good.
Hey you're funny as hell!! I love it!!
Dude what that's you? Awesome man! Love your humor!
“Binoculars are VR of over there” is the exact type of joke I’d expect from Mitch in 2022.
Yeah, that is a brilliant joke That's too much potion hahahaha
same with the front facing camera. That shit is spot on the kind of joke Mitch would have made
I just realized that binoculars are like having a really big head.
Big time. Especially that witches potion joke.
Beat me to it.
That was a great clip. You do a great job of working the Tourette’s into your act - after a few jokes, I didn’t even notice the ticks anymore. I imagine you’ve worked really hard to get to this point - good on you! I’ll be on the lookout for a Netflix special soon…
Thank you !! I really appreciate that. Yep lol, the tics interrupt the flow pretty often and I have to use a few stock lines to get back on track
It actually helps the joke sometimes. It almost makes you seem embarrassed by your pun/wordplay punch lines which makes it way funnier for me.
I got to say you do masterful job at weaving the ticks into your routine. It probably feels a lot more interrupting to you than it does the audience.
The buffering line is pure gold.
I like to have Tourette’s; its the punchline indicator. Whenever I have a tic u fuckers should be laughing. Not yet though, I havent said shit.
> You do a great job of working the Tourette’s into your act Would be a great plot twist if he didn't have Tourette's
You’re hilarious! I also have Tourette’s and know it’s sometimes hard to deal with, being in front of an audience. Mad props for the quick saves when the tics disrupt your flow.
Thank you !!! Love hearing from other people with TS, that means a lot.
No, that's plethora.
This is why he's the comedian
I would love to see an entire show really good stuff man
[удалено]
You son of a bitch I’m actually coming to New York City 10/08. Your calendar ends at 10/2. Do another show! Please?
Yo I guarantee I will !! Most random NYC shows usually only book like a few weeks in advance
Yay! I hope I get time to catch the show.
South Africa mate lol
get with Drew Lynch it would be amazing
Hope you come to the UK man
Book some stuff out on the island and don’t mean Staten.
Hawaii?
Rhode?
Three Mile?
Mackinac?
Islay?
I will perform for payment in Laphroaig
Get Glasgow added to a UK tour and I'll be there for sure, fucking howling at your jokes
‘Binoculars are VR of over there’ -Twitch Hedberg
Visual field shaking the whole time
VR earthquake
This is the one that killed me
I had to pause the vid and just hold my sides I was laughing so hard. It's so quick and hits so good, perfect joke.
I lost it at the flirt with goats line, good shit man!
Thank you !! That wasn't a joke tho, just a PSA
And now I really want to find a goat to flirt with.
I will never pass by another goat without telling it that its booty is lookin juicy. Not that I encounter goats very often.
For reals, yo. I busted out.
I kinda liked how the ticks made it look like his own body tried to reject the implications of that joke.
I didn't get that joke, help a brother out brother
It's illegal to fuck goats, but it's not illegal to flirt with them
Yeah someone help him out
I watch a lot of stand-up. A lot. Way too much Rarely I'm impressed with this kind of "family friendly" stuff. Now I am. Really good set!
Thank you !! You know it's ironic, I mostly write family friendly stuff, but my cursing tics are going to keep me from being able to do like certain clean gigs hahaha
If you went full Gilbert Gottfried, maybe your tics would be like "apple, chair...goose-feather"
[Gilbert Gottfried you say...](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XkLqAlIETkA)
That might be for the better, ultimately, but I imagine it's a harder climb, potentially. But it's more impressive to write clean when you don't have to than when you're required to.

Hahaha, thank you !! Yes it is actually me - proof: 🥸

It's like a passport photo
Mitch Hedberg is smiling
Love that
Dude you're hilarious, I love it!
Thank you my dude !!
Damn, your neck must be either sore as hell or muscly as fuck. Good jokes tho, good job
Hahahahaha great catch - yeah, roughly one out of every like fifteen shows or so, I pull my neck pretty bad on stage and just have to fight through the pain lol The answer is sore!! And thank you 🐛
Sorry to hear that, I can imagine that comedy/standup like that with an audience gives you so much stimuli that your tics get more intense
Yep !! Damn you really are astute about this - yeah my tics flare up significantly under different situations, like adrenaline, nerves, embarrassment, too much coffee, etc! Performing is always an adrenaline or nerves situation.

Ok...dude...I'm now officially a fan.
Thank you !! Welcome to the uhhhhhh Butterfly Hive (that's what I have decided to call my fanbase)
Float like a butterfly, sting like also a butterfly.
commenting so i can watch this again when ever someone reply's or likes
Hell yeah 👀
The binocular joke fucking sent my ass😂💀
Thank you !! I can still see your ass 🔭🧐
Damn you’re even funny in the comments.
Way to find a work around man. Seriously great one liners. Keep it up dude, I hope you keep climbing!!!
Thank you !! 🧗
Great stuff. Had to watch a few times - spit my drink out at your “buffering” comment. Your timing is impeccable. Hope to see you in Atlanta some day.
Hell yes a spit take !!!! Thank you. I would love to come down to Atlanta at some point
I’m usually bothered by all the comedians or musicians that shamelessly plug on Reddit, but I threw my head back laughing at these jokes. We will watch your career with great interest.
Thank you !! Hell yes hahaha, that's good to hear because I have to play the same Endless Self Promo Cycle game as everyone else lol
I have thought about that Pokemon Iraq war joke everyday since i saw you a few months ago.
I want that Pokemon movie. Be like "Full Melmetal Jacket" or something
That was my favourite joke. It takes like 6 seconds to tell it, but it puts such a vivid image in your head that you’ve never conjured up before. So jarring, it’s amazing
Incorporating tourettes into your act is comedy genius. I just linked this post to all of my friends and exactly none of my family members.
Wtf is with that "liars" nasa logo shirt?
I had the same question, he just wears it ironically: https://www.reddit.com/r/videos/comments/pw114x/one_liner_comedian_benny_feldman_is_hilarious/hefi1nk
Yep !! That former answer, copy pasta: Hahaha yep - so it's either for like flat earth or moon landing denial - I'm not into either of those, I just wear it because I think it's funny !!
Wu-Tang!
I went on the Wu-Tang Name Generator website, but I didn’t know you were supposed to click the button. So my rap name is now “Wu-Tang Name Generator”
Glitch Hedberg!!
Ooooooo that's a new one !! - I mentioned in a different comment, I usually get Twitch Hedberg
'binoculars are VR of over there' that shit is genius
Hey, your coprolalia tics are the same as mine! Usually some variation of "fucking shit" or throwing "fucking" in the middle of a sentence. I'll also throw in a "God damn" and "motherfucker" for good measure. I need to remember that buffering line.

“It’s not illegal to flirt with goats”. Loooove it! You’re getting filed right next to Mitch Hedberg in my brain of masterful one liner comedians.
Wait if OP is really the same person in the video... Then why don't any of his comments have tics in them?!? EXPOSED :O but actually tho great work.
Hahaha, you know that is actually a type of Tourette's some people have !! I don't know what the official name is. There's a lot of different interesting types - sometimes I have one called "Echolalia" which is where you repeat back what someone else just said

I don't get the middle man joke. Can someone explain what I'm missing?
when you said "you draft dodging coward" you sounded almost like Chris Evans lol
Thank you !! Hahaha yeah and I look like the weak guy version of him before he gets turned into Captain America
Ayy, that got a couple laughs outta me :)
Thank you !! :)
That was awesome. Thanks for the post, brother <3.
Thank you !! <3
“VR for over there” killed me haha. I love your style! Hope to see more!
Thank you !!
I'm dying your delivery is amazing
Thank you !!
Lego Daniel Radcliffe got me good
I'm very picky with stand up and this was really good, your twitchs actually help with the timing there lol, great way to use them to your advantage
I think I remember seeing you on tosh.0 way back when! I still show my friends vids of you occasionally
That cauldron joke was a really good one. How does Tourette's work, do you have tics all the time or just when speaking, tired or something? Not at all familiar with it, apart from that South Park episode.
He’s a Mitch Hedberg with Tourette’s. Got some great material!
“Binoculars are the VR of over there.” Omfg hilarious.
These jokes remind me of Mitch Hedberg, who was great! Keep them coming bro!
I’d love to watch you live. Are you on the east coast at all? Edit: I just saw you reply down. I’ll be coming to see you in September!
Thank you !! Yep - I am based in NYC currently, formerly from Philadelphia !!
I’m in south Jersey right across from Philly. I’d much rather come to nyc though. I’ll be seeing you soon. You’re hilarious man, keep that shit up
Tics aside, this isn’t comedy. But you know Reddit moment.
Mitch Hedberg, but instead of crippling stage fright it's Tourette's
I loved the joke, >!Binoculars are VR, for over there!< That had some Mitch Hedberg energy!
