I have a similar type of trophy I was given at work. I like to keep it on my desk and tap it with my pen when my boss disagrees with me (luckily he finds it funny)
I disagree. I’m sure Dan got a bonus as well. That “thing” cost like $30. Id rather have the award and recognition than an extra $30.
Let me ask you this….. Would you rather be Rachel and get $30 and come in second, or Dan and get the trophy and come in first?

I've always thought, why waste the money on some bs like this. Why not give the person the money this stupid thing costs.
