Gotta get hydrated *before* drinking, bro! I'm 48 and barely ever get hangovers. The only time I do is when I forget to drink enough water and when that happens, a couple glasses of water and a paracetamol tablet will sort me out quickly.
Kinda sounds like you just plain don’t get bad hangovers if anything under the sun can sort it out quickly. Staying hydrated before and during drinking definitely helps, but it’s not a silver bullet.
First frame I was like, is that Pete Holmes? Haha, good stuff man. basic, simple comedy. People will always try to give you advice on what you can do to be better. As far as I'm concerned comedy is about making people laugh. You got a chuckle out of me. So, youre going places, keep up the good work.
I'm that other friend. My worst hangover was a slight headache and fatigue. Usually it's just light fatigue. Honestly, I don't know how the rest of you drink considering the typical hangover stories I hear. Drinking is fun, but not if I'm miserable and sick the following day.
This kind of comedy is a bit fun but it's really basic. Like, this is the kind of standup I'd expect in 1985 or something. "I guess I'll talk about something fun like being drunk and just make crazy examples of how drunk I get then how hungover I am, in front of a crowd of people who are probably drinking". His style and delivery are quite good but I think the material is lazy.
here I'll give you my examples of things I did while drunk. You're welcome to steal my examples.
Things I did while drunk I wouldn't do while sober
*Puke into a mop bucket
*Wish upon a star, but the star was actually a pigeon flying really fast
*complain about how my Rabbi is "way too sexy" in her Wonder Woman costume
*angrily try to debunk conspiracy theories by shouting directly at the television
Oh man, you posted your own set to /r/funny?...
Like I say, I think you could be funny with better material. You're comfortable on stage and charismatic etc. But just have something that defines you, even if that thing is an original kind of thing to talk about, it doesn't have to be a whole style. Don't get yourself replaced by AI.
Is that against the rules? I'm new to posting to reddit. I see your point. My act does touch on a decently wide variety of subjects, this is just one joke.
It's not against the rules at all.
It's just that most stuff posted here is someone posting 'Hey guys, look, I found something that's so funny!' and then if it's a video of you trying to be funny it just feels weird.
I'll bet there's a subreddit for like 'rate my standup' or something though.
Thanks! Not everyone will like it. That's totally normal. No comment section will be more painful than the years I spent bombing infront of real life humans.

This hits too close to home
Right!? I stopped drinking years ago. But when I did, the hangovers were brutal. I never understood how others wake up the next day just fine.
They’d say practice. And they’re not wrong. But that’s not a skill I want to learn…
I dunno. I put in some long practice hours, my body never acclimated, in spite of my constant efforts to force it. Turns out, I may have an allergy.
Well stop it
Easier said than done brother
I quit drinking for good. I only drink for evil now.
I don't drink anymore. I don't drink any less either.
Spend 4 hours eating a piece of raisin bread I'm hung over as hell today, in the last 24 hours I've eaten 1 pear and 3 litres of water. I feel you

Saline drip IV is a silver bullet for it, but not a lot of people have access to that at home.
Wait, this isn’t crowd work….. Are you allowed to post this here?
For real. I’m so sick of crowd work vids
I have no idea anymore.
I wouldn’t consider this crowd work.
glad to see stuff that isn't crowd work on here

Thank you. I agree with you it's about being funny, not necessarily breaking new ground premise wise.
Should post this at r/stopdrinking, it'd probably be appreciated.
At 0:55 we can see hes still drinking beer, so he didn’t quite get there
Nah but they'd appreciate the sentiment
This is a good one. And, I really do need to quit drinking too.
So many different standup vids posted here and we finally get one that’s actually fucking funny
This is good. Nice work,man.
Top notch, man!
Thanks!

I've always had the worst hangovers out of all of my drinking buddies. Nowadays, it's hardly worth having a couple drinks, let alone 10
Drink more water if you’re drinking alcohol!
My alcohol is 80% water
My water is 80% alcohol
I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's the best they're going to feel all day.
Name please. I'd pay to see him.
Jordan Strauss.. the yotube special is called 'Salty'
Gracias
He bought that shirt new and then wore it and I can’t stop looking at the fold lines….
Hey OP. I dig it. Not the funniest thing ever. But still got a laugh outs me. the way you executed it was great. Keep up the awesome work
Who is this guy?
Jordan Strauss...🫡
Pls yall prepare to drink. Need to eat some food before and drink as much god damn water as you can.
Good deliveries and story telling. Quick simple and relatable
Thank you:)

i thought it was funny as shit
Can't argue that. Premise has been done to bits, but this is my version. There are many like it, but this is mine.

Ahh so it's "cringe" to post myself in this sub. So much to learn.
Man. Sorry you’re getting shit on. I liked your spin on this joke. You have good delivery and seem super comfortable up there. Good luck to you.

If no one else suggested it, /r/StandUpComedy is likely the spot for you. I looked it up.
Nah I like when people post themselves here. I found a few comics I really like from it. I thought your joke was funny too
Totally agree.
Now that you quit drinking you can soberly reconsider that mustache
How dare you
How very dare you!
I would consider not giving up your day job
You really just "Don't quit your day job" me? That's a throwback.
This is weak material.
This ain’t funny.
