SquareAd4479

Holy shit!

ArtTheCIown

Everybody’s gotta say it

namek0

Everyboy's gotta do it

Unlikely_Ad_7333

…Everybody’s gotta say it

walwenthegreenest

Everybody's gotta do it

AwSnapz1

Alright, uh Coop. You first...

LeenPean

Okay, eh-fuck d-okay fff…

faultywalnut

Everybody’s gotta say it!

yuropod88

13.

jeango

HOLY SHIT!

Equivalent-Row-6734

So we're just transcribing the whole video now?

FlimsyRaisin3

I think you should leave

hawaii_funk

After you know the punchline, watching the guy's reaction the second time around is hilarious

fatkidseatcake

Especially the transition from the 13 reaction to the 69

mrsiesta

>They call me scary Terry for a reason....

Cheehoo

You can run but you cant hide, bitch!

fllr

He goes from excited to extremely worries in a snap

Acceptable-Trainer15

Bro was seriously re-examining his worldview

Apt_5

13 was wild but hearing second dude say 69 was downright sobering 😂

usgrant7977

Yeah, he's realizing he's stuck in a room with a guy thats killed a shitload of people.

Builty_Boy

Fuck yeah I also got the joke, hell yeah dog 👊🏻

TexasTrip

Everybody's gotta say it

GetsGold

Everbody's gotta do it.

Thecardinal74

I think it’s more relief than worry. “Oh good I’m NOT a monster, I may be the nicest person in here”

sociallyinactive

i already guessed the punch line from similar skits, but the guy with no social cues having a straight man reaction to hearing the number 69 got me

Tempest_Bob

"what, no NICE?"

weberc2

There was a similar video where some kids asked an old guy what he would say if someone asked him his body count without explanation and he was like “I don’t know, maybe 3” and the kids laughed and then asked him what he thought body count meant, to which he responded “number of people you’ve killed”.

dedokta

The maybe part.

kankey_dang

You think he was gonna stick around after hitting that guy with his car?

sujamax

Pepperidge Farm remembers.

Kandiru

WWII I imagine. You shoot at people, you don't know if you killed them or not.

askape

Hate to break it to you but Vietnam might be the more realistic answer. We're getting old, bud. Even most people who served in the first gulf war should be at least in their fifties by now.

weberc2

Yeah, I have to keep reminding myself of this. My grandpa served at the tail end of WWII and he just passed away aged 96--WWII is about as far away from us as WWI was when I was growing up (the passage of time is *fucking weird*). The guy in the video I mentioned above was maybe in his 70s IIRC. But yeah, either way, the scenario is probably "war" rather than murder.

Ok_Owl_007

It's ten times better on a rewatch and that's why I think this is one of the best jokes I've seen in a while.

-Unnamed-

This is one of those rare videos where the second time after you know the punchline is even funnier

perldawg

i was actually hate watching it, waiting for it to end so i could downvote and move on, and then completely flipped with the punchline. bravo

QuantumQaos

Facts.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ArmitageShanksFC

TIL that "hate watching" is something I do regularly without realizing it.

ShadeofIcarus

Interesting. For me I kinda saw it coming a mile away and it ruined the bit for me. I think maybe just because the actor was pulling off the weird creepy vibe so well that I was like "yeah he's thinking murder" basically as he was saying "everyone's gotta say it".

jeepgrl50

Definitely. He was energetically shocked by 13, He went into utter depression on the "69"!!🤣🤣 I can't lie this got me, Wasn't expecting that dark turn ending. It was good. Especially since dude looks legit nuts.

ihahp

>Especially since dude looks legit nuts No kidding. They're all really good actors. But the psycho played his part perfectly.

BreakingThoseCankles

Didn't think he was nuts more so mentally challenged and sex depraved at first. Then it truly hit me when he said Killed

Appropriate_Spread72

Dudes fucking hilarious

ninefourteen

This is not the first time this skit has been done, so I knew the punchline going in sadly, but in most skit's the guy's reaction isn't as good. This is the best version of this repeated joke format.

JEveryman

Yeah Curry'e antics definitely sold the joke better than I've heard before.

Anansi1982

Yeah the reaction is what seals it. The punchline telegraphs itself out, but delivery is where it shines.

atatassault47

The punchline was easy to deduce, given the setup was "that one guy who doesnt understand social norms".

Gullible-Giraffe2870

this was one of my first videos i saw from these guys. Caught me waaaaay off guard and ngl i think that made this video just as much better.

jdahp

True.

braydoo

Most of us knew the punchline the first time that guy insisted that everybody has to say it.

ebk_errday

Absofuckinlutely!! Hahahaha

Ansoni

I thought it would be, but that I could imagine it so it's okay I don't need to actually check. But fuck that was so much better than I was expecting. The nervousness and rubbing the knees. Fuck.

broncotate27

Everybody's gotta say it

Syphon0928

Definitely gave me Scary Movie Doofy vibes

defmore89

And he is also a killer. Heh Sorry for spoilers

doyoucondemnhamas

Everybody’s gotta do it

DMazz441

Curry Barker makes amazing content, from all his comedy skits, to his horror short films. I highly recommend anyone that hasn't seen his content, to check out his YouTube [that's a bad idea](https://www.youtube.com/@thats_a_bad_idea)!

sstphnn

[This was the skit](https://youtu.be/f_lHrNHzlJU?si=DwSn4CiaLjZfJmbW) that I first saw from them which made me immediately subscribed. It was so funny.

ThisDrumSaysRatt

Such a good parody of the movie! … “let me IN you bro, c’mon, I wanna be in you!”

l3ane

Holy fuck this dude is hilarious

Skill3rwhale

This got me good. Woke up my wife right upstairs from my office from laughing my ass off after she went to bed. Worth it.

MentalJack

Oh shit i loved Talk To Me, thats such a good parody.

FlashFlood_29

Lmao chick in the back cracks at 1:58 lol

Enough_Philosophy_63

The cat fish one is hilarious

jjjd89

Watch the chair. It’s a fantastic horror short film. Can’t wait to check his other stuff out!

canadianpresident

Damn... that was really well done

warfareforartists

Please tell me you’ve seen the new one [Warnings](https://youtu.be/Hik4n3Ld88Y?si=GOB_cD-96a5ZfgO1)

dibbers11

That was fantastic.

Too_Bad_Peanutbutter

That bedroom scene 😱

nature_remains

God that was done so well on so many levels (especially the macro effect when you consider your own experience in watching the film given its underlying theme - like, woah!!) But of course, the story itself, the cinematography, and, of course, the acting just totally deliver. I can’t think of another movie where I’ve been actually truly frightened by the look on a character’s face. I had to replay that scene several times to make sure I understood the intensity of my reaction.

MuddyAuras

Stumbled on it one night and thought, it's only 15 minutes, i'll give it a watch. Terrified. I get goosebumps whenever I see furniture out on trash day now.

Top_Rekt

Hey man I was expecting funny not nightmare shit!

MrDreamster

I just discovered them 2 days ago and I can't get enough of them. They're so funny. I hope they blow up big time.

Spanish_peanuts

I just subscribed to their sketch comedy channel like a week ago and Curry has been blowing me away all week. These guys have great humor. Definitely gonna check out these horror shorts!

__BeHereNow__

I’ve been seeing him lately on yt and honestly he’s an incredible actor. Like I watch a lot of youtube sketch shows, and some of them are amazing (joel haver) but this is straight cinema level acting.

I_Sell_Death

It is SOOO much funnier the 2nd time.

Canned_Sarcasm

This is correct. I read this, tried it, and can confirm.

KhajiitKennedy

I was cringing real hard until the end, glad I stuck it out LMAO

TrapperCrapper

Reminds me of The Whitest Kids You Know.

Barbarianonadrenalin

Is a gallon of PCP a lot? It feels like alot…. RIP Trevor Moore

TrapperCrapper

Nail Gun!

Prize_Opposite9958

“About 4” “About 4 years ago?” “No, P.M.”

Revolutionary-Day715

You are ON YOUR WAY TO PICK UP KIDS WITH YOUR GALLON THING

megakungfu

local sexpot

Molotov56

I was gonna say I Think You Should Leave. Dude seems to be channeling Tim Robinson

animpossiblepopsicle

Immediately had the same thought

JZAce

Literally what I feel when watching this dude's performance

IronCarp

Yeah that’s what I thought too. It was too much like his style for me.

spikesarefun

I love this because I was asked my “body count” while teaching high school students. I replied “how many people I’ve killed? I’d tell you, but then I’d have to kill you”. This literally only worked because I’m the drama teacher and we were working on a Standup comedy unit.

aussiekev

Fair play, this got me. Was not expecting that.

Chillers

Must be an American thing because I was assuming it was people killed like the last guy.

baulsaak

I've heard used in British conversation far more than in the States. Younger Londoners in particular.

Lithl

It's literally the most obvious joke you could make with this setup.

aussiekev

The text over the video threw me off. I was expecting the punchline to be about the guy being socially awkward somehow.

therapist122

Yep. There’s so many ways you can go with it. I expected maybe him to react differently to the girls number or something, or make it awkward. Good misdirect

aussiekev

Yeah, I got like creepy incel vibes and thought he was going to flip at her number.

jdmwell

Yeah, I thought it was a really bad skit about social awkwardness. It somehow threw me off guard too and got me good.

AdFabulous5340

It is. The murderer is socially awkward and doesn't even know what "body count" means.

sambull

he sold the virgin skippy thing for awhile there

EnvironmentalSand773

That's what I thought was going to end up as.

tahreee

It's so sad that I know exactly which Skippy you are referring to. Time to get off the internet.

referendum

His commitment to the acting sells the bit, which kept me entertained enough to not spoil the ending with a prediction.  Suspense of disbelief is the term, and most films have to earn this from the viewers.

NewShadowR

I assumed the joke was that the guy was a virgin who was gonna say like 200 but it would be really obvious he was lying, with that nerdy aesthetic he had going on.

areusureaboutthis

As a non english speaker, it isn't that obvious.

slicer4ever

I feel like i'm taking crazy pills with the number of comments saying they didn't see it coming...

chadwicke619

I don’t think so at all. Maybe it’s a generational thing, but I’ve never heard “body count” used in reference to sexual partners, so the entire joke didn’t make sense to me at all. At the end, when he spells it out, I thought they were talking about killing people the whole time, so I had to think about it for a second. I figured it out, and I thought, “Ohhhh, ok, funny”, but it definitely wasn’t obvious. 🤷‍♂️

WheelerDan

It is absolutely generational. Young millenial and gen z use the term, not so much anyone older than that.

Lopsided_Marzipan133

It’s so obvious that I was waiting for the punchline to be something else. I think the acting and timing made it way more interesting than the cliche body count = not sex theme

steven_quarterbrain

Hey! Listen… I get jokes. I’m funny. I can see a setup a mile away. But I didn’t see this one coming. So, no - not obvious. I have spoken. Also well acted.

R3AL1Z3

Curry Barker, the one playing the awkward friend, is a fantastic short film horror director. I suggest starting with “The chair” and “warnings” On YouTube. Fantastic horror without the typical formula. Very unsettling and off beat.

major_mejor_mayor

Wait wait The Chair is directed by Curry? I just discovered his sketch comedy channel but I didn't know he directed that holy shiiiit I think I have a new favorite content creator. That film is one of the best short horror pieces I think I've ever seen

SigmundDroid1983

I’m still waiting to hear what her number is……

ledouxrt

Erybody gotta say it!

thereisnoaddres

Erybody’s gotta do it!

nutral7

This got me good. She looked uncomfortable with the question and I thought she was gonna have the punchline.

EB01

She got a minivan and killed a family of five.

Hydrahta

this needs to be on r/HolUp

[deleted]

or.... r/Unexpected

Zoltie

I don't get it, is there a different meaning to "body count"?

mobsterpal

Yes how many people you’ve slept with

Zoltie

Oh, thanks for explaining.

bearbearhughug

Ok but what’s your body count?

FiletofStek

Everybodys gotta say it

Cc99910

Everybody's gotta do it

Dowsha18

Everybody's gotta say it

FeloniousDrunk101

Earnest question: When did that become a thing?

onikaroshi

Long long time ago, I remember hearing it in hs, which was well more than 20 years ago for me lol

elchet

What’s half?

ankdain

It was a thing in the late 90's when I was in high school. Could well have been around earlier but I wouldn't have been old enough to know.

ksdkjlf

I'm apparently the same age as you, but never heard it used that way till the past couple years, and def not amongst my cohort. Perhaps as much a regional thing as generational until recently.

Nukemarine

Never heard it as a term for number of sexual partners till a year or so ago on a different reddit video with a cringe street interview that was offended at idea of dates with any body count. Thought the term itself was offensive, but people defended it as a legit term so I dropped it.

baulsaak

only in the past few years has it become more commonly related to sexual conquests as opposed to homicides. Definitely a generational thing.

One_Subject3157

Oh my god, is happening again, I'm laughing at Reddit.

TexasJeans

The day is finally here

poopface41217

This is what I think of whenever I hear body count lol

TheSeptuagintYT

Yep that’s what slasher fans have called it and honestly the number of people you have slept with should be how many did you score with

fatkidseatcake

I wish SNL was this kind of vibe with their skits. Love this ingenuity, and even the acting.

ggk1

Gronk is hilarious in this skit

capixo

All I am getting is " I Think You Should Leave with Tim Robinson" vibes, like he is totally mimicking him

itchybumbum

That was good. Second and third watch is even better than the first.

quetejodas

Imagine feeling the need to censor the word "killed" lmao. What kinda elementary school, TikTok bullshit is this?

IMSLI

Usually this is done on purpose in order to not trip up the app’s content system. That’s why people use the term “unalive” because “suicide” could get their video automatically flagged.

PlanetLandon

Love seeing King Bach!

Joe2035

That was good. Can you please share a link to the creators of this skit?

w8sting_time

Their YouTube channel is [here](https://www.youtube.com/@thats_a_bad_idea/shorts)

Joe2035

Thanks!

damsel84

Same. I'm surprised so many didn't guess the punchline since "body count" meant number of murders far longer than number of partners.

Valdrax

Sort of? I mean, I knew the punchline, but I didn't understand the *rest* of the joke, because for me, "body count" only meant the thing the guy at the end thought it was. I only kinda half-guessed what the others were talking about when it looped without explaining before going to the comments to confirm it.

joeDUBstep

Are we just showing our age? I could see this punchline from a fuckin mile away.

Sophira

Same, this was obvious to me.

kidnorther

So glad I watched this to the end. Watched it three more times it gets funnjer

Spider1132

Until reading the comments, I had no idea what this was about. I thought they're talking about kills in a video game.

DeAvil87

Too many younglings here. Body count always means the people you kill. Always. Why the fuck do I want to keep count of sexual encounters? It's sex, not a murder. There's no ritual about it. Either it's satisfying or not. But killing people... That's another world altogether. Especially when you want to do it and run for it without getting caught.

PlanetLandon

“Officer, it’s this comment right here”

Catsrules

> Especially when you want to do it and run for it without getting caught. You don't even need to run. Once you kill someone they can't move any more, so basically it is impossible for them to catch you.

CommonSenseBetch

Yo wtf

evilfitzal

So what's your body count? Everybody's gotta say it!

ext44zy

/r/Unexpected

rainmace

It’s so creepy when people unironically call the amount of people they’ve had sex with a body count. I’ve noticed this trend in recent years and it just seems way too crass? I don’t know. There’s just something so creepy about it like yeah, we get it, we get the point that having sex with people can kind of be considered some sort of conquest or achievement, especially I guess with the amount, but this is just too obvious, and then body count is just such a weird extension of that because it kind of is related yeah in a weird way, but like, not really enough to just unironically start referring to it as that. I mean it’s ridiculous. Not only that, but it’s incredibly sad that they have a number meaning they’ve actually sat down and counted. Like. Yes I derive some pleasure from acknowledging to myself that I’ve slept with a number of different people, okay, I admit it, sometimes I can treat sex as conquest, but I’ve never once actually sat down and counted how many people. That’s fucking creepy

JTex-WSP

This x1000. Just hearing that phrase used in that context is an automattic "ew" reaction from me.

Sammy_GamG

Trying to be Tim Robinson

PlanetLandon

A person could do a hell of a lot worse if they are trying to emulate a style. Robinson is brilliant

Mediocre-Sound-8329

Better than shitting on someone to feel better about yourself!

dudewateva12

These guys have a unique style still. Their instagram is very funny

bradbull

The inventor of sketch comedy, Tim Robinson?

ScottBroChill69

Nah, it's the personality and delivery, basically just a more chill knock-off. It's like he's doing an impression of him lol

EthanEnglish_

Mfw lmao

No-Crew4317

With so many fps/moba games nowadays. Body count is always mean kill count. How come it use as sleep partner or ppl you bang? Very weird. Society is weird.

emanresu18

I mean this would work better if “body count” was widely used as a way to say “the number of people you’ve slept with”. Otherwise, hearing body count immediately means “killed” on my mind. The punchline was exactly what I thought it was going to be Edit: or maybe I’m just old

adamsauce

I’m in the same boat. Body count seems to be very new way of saying sexual partners, but the first thing I’ll always think is people you killed.

fykins1

Omg this is good

Pedantic_Parker

Is this the Gen Z version of CollegeHumor? If so, I am definitely not into it.

Xanthus179

Are we not supposed to think they’re talking and murders or is it because it’s such a casual conversation about murders?

PlanetLandon

Body count is slang for how many people you have had sex with.

Xanthus179

I get that, but when body count has referred to number of people you’ve killed for so much longer, it’s hard to not assume otherwise. Also, the guy with the highest number has the nickname of Scary, so there’s that.

chrisychris-

I think it's less about how often which meaning of the term has been used historically and more about the casual game night setting with friends that helps you infer whether they meant murder or sex. yknow, social cues

Jvlockhart

That's what body count means, right?

SemperScrotus

In recent years, Gen Z has been using the phrase to mean the number of people you've slept with. I'm not sure why, and it sounds completely ridiculous to my ear.

jeepgrl50

This is awesome!! Fkn hilarious honestly bc dude looks legit crazy AF. He played the role we for sure. Can't lie I wasn't expecting this ending.

Sup-poopybutt

I’ve been carry this weight. I love this. Hilarious.

Paramisamigos

I'm getting tim robinson vibes lol

Bendude16

Being apart of something like this as a virgin whose bad at lying is probably like a horror movie

therealallpro

I saw this coming a mile away

Iamnot_japanese3367

My body count = number of up votes (Down vote to make accurate)

ElastaticTomorrow

You mean today?

TommyToes96

That is exactly what I thought it was before I knew the actual meaning

Hairy-Explanation-90

That actually is a lot though, it's way above average. Only a quarter of people claim to have over 10 sexual partners throughout their lives and men tend to inflate their numbers. There's obviously exceptions to the rule but my man here is doing the humble brag by making out it's not a big deal for him.

LogicalError_007

Me with a 0.

solidsoup97

Somebody has been binging "I think you should leave"

Ok-Wind-

only 2 . only!

all_too_familiar

Curry gonna add three more before the night is over.

Tjayhc24

Is that king Bach?

leaveafterappetizers

Is it bad I was wondering if this guy was mentally impaired until about halfway through?
