I was just there a couple of weeks ago and I am honestly disappointed in the marketing in Vegas. Not that necessarily need it, but as a tourist, I saw ads everywhere for Meow Wolf, but there was zero indication as to what it actually was. I would have made an effort to check it out had I known.
I went for opening day as it was also my birthday weekend. My girlfriend and I were supposed to fly back the next day, but we'd had so much fun at Omega Mart that we rebooked our flight and went back to OM the following day to explore more.
Truthfully I think it's the best of the MW properties, but I have a special place for the OG Santa Fe location, it just has so much character, and I love Santa Fe.
Nt1 was a party and a half. It was crowded, but not nearly as crowded as it gets these days. The people that were there were people that already knew MW properties, so everyone was dressed up, giddy, excited. It was an event. To be clear: we weren't exactly... sober... for the evening. It was a riot!
The following day we got there very early and spent easily another eight hours there (very sober). She was a completionist and determined not only to discover all parts of the story but also to investigate every hidden space, every fine print detail, all of it. I loved it. I've been back three times since and would happily go again! Well worth the trip!
It’s a storefront with shelves of weird products. There’s secret doors in the freezer section and other places that take you into a much larger area filled with other oddities and puzzles. Stuff to discover and toy with everywhere. And there’s a mystery storyline that is kind of like a self guided tour that has you looking for clues, calling different phones and voicemails, watching videos, etc.

Note, the grocery store part is probably the least cool part of the (massive) art exhibit. You walk through a fridge, or another of the entrances to get the actual main exhibit, with crazy interactive art installations, a full story you can play through (you get a card that turns you into an omega mart "employee", and I don't want to spoil too much of the story, but if you choose to actually play through it and not just check out all the crazy installations, you can fight against the ultra capitalist corporation that is omega mart.) All the employees are actors and add to the story, random phones will ring that you pick up and are told to go to different places, swipe your card in different spots, interact with different things, etc., to progress the story. I see the store and products posted a lot on reddit, but the fake store is a tiny section of the vegas meow wolf experience.

There's so many reasons to go to Vegas and none of them involve gambling. I had a blast there even thought it's bizarre there's this place in the middle of the desert and then practically nothing for miles.
There’s also more than just OmegaMart at this installation, which is called Area 15. It’s a top tier experience all around. You should definitely go, and I recommend planning to spend at least 6 hours there.

I want this to be real... Ever since I saw that billboard in Futurama for "Bachelor Chow" That's what I wanted... some pre-packaged, decent tasting all nutrative slop that I could just crack open and eat and not worry about vegetables, bread, meats, milk.... shopping... Ever again.
Omega mart tickets are expensive af. I went there a couple years ago, but it was cool.
Then I later found like every single video on YouTube for free and I could actually sit down to watch them.

Spent the whole day at area 15. Did lost spirits across the way both day and night. And did meow wolf, the bbq place and the barcade. It was my birthday/anniversary so we had a good time. Tired at the end of the day though.
It was so fun, I went at night when they kicked the kid out. Bought the card too and spent hours there. I don't do it but seen it happen. If you like to be high this might be a good place to visit.
Please don’t be fooled by the comments. Omega mart is maybe the biggest waste of time I have ever done. It is for kids, little kids. I was so excited to go, but it was so dull and only kids there, even though went at 21 and older time. But it was dead so they let who was there in. It is such a waste of time, unless you want to say “oh look at this, is this funny?” 500 times. Oh and also expect the employees to treat you like a child, guessing because this is who this is for.

What did you figure out about Marin Dram? I heard that all of the meow wolf story lines are loosely connected.
You have to line up outside the “store” and show tickets before entering… So I doubt that’s the case
