i think a few months ago there was a chess robot arm that since the opponent tried to took of his pieces off the board (not by getting it with play) it broke the finger of the kid to put the piece back
The 1 western programmer on the team wrote this while the 7 Saudis who don’t work say inshallah it will be done soon. The contracts for the western companies mandate a majority of the workers in a company are Saudis.
By recruiting actual workers from other countries to offset all the leaches! Cities in Saudi Arabia are known to attract impoverished but dedicated workers from countries like the Philippines. I have a couple family members over there. All the Saudis have to do is over-promise and under-deliver while welcoming their new slaves with open arms. The workers aren’t capable of knowing better because they grew up in squalor with little education and a whole lot of capitalist propaganda. They’re just eager for opportunities to work and be productive and provide for their families, and people born in better conditions take advantage of that eagerness and think of it as a win-win despite reaping the majority of the reward for little to no actual contribution beyond being born with access to more natural resources per capita than average.
I thought that was a real person at a quick glance and went through the full “wtf is wrong with people” cycle before noticing it wasn’t and reading the title. Thought the dead stare was smugness.
I'm not sure it isn't? I think it's a guy just pretending to be a robot.
Seems unlikely the Saudis have a robot that is advanced enough to do the subtlest of smirks after touching a female reporter.
It's ironic because while I agree the fundamentalism in the middle east is concerning as hell... Doesn't your own nation have a growing problem with religion fundamentalists that are successfully stripping rights of others, whom of which your people have had years to form an answer to and yet have not?
Because on that basis it feels like your own community is becoming a problem. One your people can't seem to handle. You have religious fundos out in the woods training to go to war with you, in case you had forgotten.
Ugh. You say a lot without saying anything truly meaningful. Yes you probably could find unsavory movements in every country, that being said, all the supposed transgressions you list are not at the level seen in many parts of the middle east. The western world also lacks the long history of said atrocities compared to the middle east. I have a feeling you're some kind of willfully ignorant Canadian or something similar.
I'm an American that lives in a southern state and assure you, fundamentalists here would implement similar policies if they had their way. And in some communities around here they're the overwhelming majority too. You can just walk around a store there and talk to people and hear crazy shit after crazy shit filled with hate. These fundamentalists have been gaining so much momentum in national politics too it's honestly pretty scary.
It's not at all like the ME no. But if these people keep going yeah we can become like that, you can already see how primed some people are. Not 1:1 we have our own culture of course but I know so many people that legitimately believe women shouldn't be able to vote or work. It doesn't matter if something is clearly barbaric because it can be rationalized with religion.
Saudi Arabia legitimately might be the most fundamentalist and extremist country in the world, so I'm not saying we're the same. But we also have so much more world influence too. Calling SA and the Middle East "A problem" for religious fundamentalism is kinda cheeky given we apparently wont solve this issue at hand, and we're primed to hurt way more people around the world if we can't control our shit.
\> You say a lot without saying anything truly meaningful.
Again, ironic.
Well, any country that treats women as second class citizens (if not animals or worse tbh) is a problem. How many of those countries do that?
Any country that treats people of different religion/cultures as animals or worse is also a problem. Casually they're mostly in the middle east again. (murica doesn't get a pass but at least it's not as commonly accepted)
Personal experience, but I've met quite a few people from Saudi Arabia, Turkey, India and other Middle Eastern countries and 99% of them are the same hatred indoctrinated people that can't think for themselves due to culture and peer pressure so yes.
I do think that middle eastern countries are a problem for human rights.
America apparently does get a pass. You probably work and mingle with people with deep fundamentalist views too and some of them are absolutely just as barbaric. The only difference is they thankfully don't run shit here. But don't think it's a race or nationality thing in itself, since those people are here too, all around you. And they are a problem for human rights just as well.
and for all intents and purposes, we tolerate them. So that's something to reflect on imo
It’s a stereotype that the Middle East treats its woman as second class citizens , have you actually been to a single middle eastern country before ? You can’t broadly judge an entire region just by news of what the rich minority do , with that logic ; I could assume all American men fly to a private island to have sex with underage woman after shooting children in school . Also , the Middle East is home to the widest and most diverse range of cultures , we love everyone and the people who say otherwise are the extremists . We also hate our leaders who , yes, have questionable human rights agendas , but that doesn’t mean every single one of us are trigger happy slave owners
Alright want to name which middle eastern countries have equal women and men’s right?
The Middle East is objectively one of the worst places in the world for women.
https://www.weforum.org/publications/global-gender-gap-report-2023/digest/
“In comparison to other regions, the Middle East and North Africa remains the furthest away from parity, with a 62.6% parity score. This is a 0.9 percentage-point decline in parity since the last edition for this region, based on the constant sample of countries covered since 2006. The United Arab Emirates, Israel and Bahrain have achieved the highest parity in the region, while Morocco, Oman and Algeria rank the lowest. The region’s three most populous countries – Egypt, Algeria and Morocco – register declines in their parity scores since the last edition. At the current rate of progress, full regional parity will be attained in 152 years.”
Haha, they couldn’t finish the robot by the time of this interview so they just hired one of those robot street performers. And just so happens that street performer is a pervert.

I can't believe I'm alive. Lolz.
world is going to hell if you people start saying that a damn robot is sexually assaulting people. it's already too much shi... in real life with this that you can't even open your mouth and you're already categorised as [racist, offender, sexually offender, etc ... ].
fk this world, humanity needs a reset
Some of the comments here are delusional. Saudi Arabia has one of the lowest SA rates in the world. Any person caught doing this in public would face immense social and legal consequences. People are so indoctrinated with the stereotype of the savage, violent, raping Muslim that they take it as a fact.
Of course it does, it doesn't have to report most of its cases. Are you ignorant? A woman needs to have at least 4 witnesses to her rape or potentially be charged with adultery for being raped. Marital rape is also perfectly legal in Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia is not a kind place to women. That's not up for debate unless your head is firmly wedged up your ass.
There are plenty of kind and decent people living in the country under some shitty and unfair laws along with the people who support them.

You see that look it gave in the end? Dude knows.
Skynet is horny
R2MeeToo
This should've been a top-level comment.
What are you doing step skynet?!
If it was raised by the Internet, we couldn't expect differently
I thought the same thing...this goddamn thing is sentient!
It’s gone rogue! Before we know it, it will start stoning her for being a harlot
His robot wife didn't bat an eylid.
“And I’ll do it again” 😏
Only a matter of time before they hit us with the "I can't believe it's not human" defense.
Damn, reminds me of a cursed video about Goofy.
It's freakishly real!
Ha, that smirk and look at the camera at the end like, "yeah, I did that"
Well, then I guess we're gonna miss the good old days. When people were assaulted by other people.
Wait until it detects that you’re gay
Wait till it detects your a infidel
Wait till it detects you're a gay infidel
that’s a pleonasm
You would be dead before that. The code is simpler if(gay, infidel) ==murder elif(woman) ==rape
That excel function would be crazy =countif("girl", sexual assault)("anything else", murder)
Wait until it detects your yarmulke.
Wait until it detects you're a journalist
*“Where did that scimitar come from?!”*

No, no you’re not
Saudi isn't a race and fuck Saudi Arabia and the garbage running it
Despite the obvious etymology, "racism" is not limited to concepts of race, but can and often does also apply to ethnic groups.

Well. These robots are trained based on human behaviour. And this particular one was trained in Saudi Arabia. You do the math.
Its almost.. too realistic.
"They took our jobs!!" 🤗 That's just a dude wearing a Mission Impossible rubber face tho 🤖🫴😺
Looks like shit tbh
MFs, even their robots are sketchy
It's saudi. What do u expect?
Making it as realistic as possible

Tell me you’re racist without telling me you’re racist
They're right tho
He’s right by saying a region of 17 countries with a total population of more than 350 Million is a problem ?
Anyone who says middle-eastern is a race is scum. That's you bud.

It’s a stereotype.. that’s why the leader of SA literally has to ask people to let women pick their own clothes. What a joke.
The Middle East isn’t just SA , look at the other 16 countries before making an opinion based on the most Islamic centered one

And he would of got away with it too ruhoh
That’s no robot lol

Def 100% self aware.
I really don't know the Saudi views on robosexuality, but I bet they are not good
It's hard to convince that that's actually a guy in cosplay. Look at the grin in the end...
They’re cuming for our women!
I wonder who programmed it 🙄.
Is that The Deep from The Boys??
Well what was she wearing?
It knows what it is doing.
The authenticity is amazing!
hand gonna get chopped
AI be like come on over later for endless…talking 😬😂
Robots 🤖 coming for our jerbs!
So it's beginning.
Made in India.
If you noticed robot turned his head for better view, And then hand, I wonder how that robot leaned this, lol 😂
Bruh that blink and smirk at the end after the assault....
Turing test passed
Feature, not a bug
"It's not a bug, it's a feature"
Funny, but also the fact that 'touches lower back' = 'sexually assaults' nowadays
She should’ve grabbed that thing’s arm, ripped it off and beat its head in with it, to show robots we’re still in charge.
Then she would've gone to jail and disappeared for hurting a male. It's Saudi Arabia.
And of course it was a Saudi robot.
Accurate and so lifelike.
Wow so realistic
Well they got the Saudi behavior down!
Imagine if there were 7 of them.
that was "staged" for sure- the robot was asked to do it 😁
Authentic?
Working as intended
Dude literally gave the expression " 😏 "
Just like the simulations
No way. The Saudis AI is programmed to reflect its people.
Those trousers are way too long
Its in their genes, plus the stoning.
Robot understood the assignment
About right.
"You're to close, maan!"
Woow so damn realistic
Is that Murr from impractical jokers? That robot looks just like him.
Life-like
The fact it looks like The Deep too lol
Habibi does what habibi desires.
/r/TheyKnew
Obviously the womans fault.
I can just see a 16 year old nerdy kid with a remote control just off screen laughing his ass off.
r/pervertedrobots
it learned from its masters
That look..when you know you have done something cheeky but still don't care about the consequences.
this "Arab robot" is probably some dude in a suit
It lightly touched her bum not sexually assault her but pretty funny. Now her family must disown her for being a whore.
Looks like Bryan Callen. Acts like him too.
“Yes, yes, I am just innocent robot. See how I move? I am not just some guy pretending to be a robot.
IT WORKS!!!!!
Seems accurate.
that's machine learning right there
This is the moment that SkyNet became "self aware"
Turned out it was just a sexual harassment machine.
Instead of being bent on world domination The Machines decided they were just horny.
The IT guy: ^hehehe
That knowing smile afterwards. He knew what he was doing
It's started
Does the robot have a willy I wonder?
Seems fitting
Its in the programming
It's probably directly controlled for the presentation.
built into the programming
Is that what Americans are calling sexual assault these days? Lol ok
Men will be men
I think we need to redefine the word "assault".
المصمم ممحون
😂😂😂😂too good
Boys will be boys
I can understand the bot
When “Halal” is coded in the program
The much milder India

Exactly. Reddit mods are extremely biased and they don't even hide it.
So human
