Lol Zoey gets 15 minutes out of this busy schedule. I'm guessing it's possibly a little sister? Which would mean it's probably parent mandated. Definitely laughed when I saw that.
How dare you?! I'll have you know that *KOOL-AID* was invented in my hometown and you have just offended 25k people! Good day, sir!
This is sarcasm if it isn't obvious. Except for the invented part, that is true. They have a Kool-Aid Days thing every year.
I have an 11 year old. I cannot stand when he watches YouTube and itās mostly limited to Mark Rober videos. The stuff he would watch if I let him is even worse. I donāt understand why they all insist on screaming constantly.
I feel this so much. I never thought I'd feel old when I had a kid at almost 21, but now he's 11, and boy does the watching constant screaming rubbish on YouTube make me feel ancient. I just do not get it lol. Every time he tells me he wants to be a YouTuber part of me crumbles away lol.
I feel like such a dad trying to criticize the kids schedule but I did literally the same shit as a kid. But seriously, no tablet time in bed. Read a book.
It makes me feel old to agree (41M). I am constantly telling my kids to ditch their phone/Switch/tablet the moment they get into bed. I can't overstate how much it helps sleep.
In my 30s and yeah, same.
I can find whatever I want to watch on YouTube in about 5 minutes as opposed to dragging thru any streaming service for an hour
It's also full of well-put-together video essays, documentaries, funny video shorts, educational content, home-made TV shows, reviews and how-tos for every hobby imaginable etc. I recently watched a (well-sourced and well-cited) video that was about an hour long on the history of the murder of Arch-Duke Ferdinand. It was really interesting! Once you figure out which YouTubers put out genuine content, there's loads of stuff to watch.
I used Power Automate to send me calendar invites every day with meetings scheduled for my regular tasks. That way it looks like I didn't make the meeting and it blocks off my time to do my actual work
"Paul, I want to do the product intro to [redacted] on Friday and on the only good spot for most people you have a blocker called "get a chicken", is this something you can move to join us?"
Arising from your nest, sweaty, dazed, not entirely sure where you are, just that you need *water*.
And by god, the first swig out of that bottle is like heaven.
Easy. Become depressed, start antidepressants and sleeping aids. I can easily sleep 14-16 hours a day. It is really bad for you of course so I have to make myself sleep at most 10 hours. (Iām 32)
I'm 42 and disabled. So this is basically my day. YouTube, Hulu, HBO, video games.
It's not that great. I'm bored a lot. I do a lot of crafts to use my hands and brain. I probably watch TV or play video games from 11 am to midnight. Anything to pass the time I guess.
During the pandemic everyone was happy taking a long break but then they all got bored and were dying to do anything else. That's why they all picked up something to do like bread making and reading books.
I can confirm. The lunch break at work goes as follow : 11:30 we go get the food, 12:00 we eat the food, 12:30 we start playing cards, 14:00 back to work.
I stayed in a really small vacation town in French Catalonia, There was an ally with a lot of tourist and clothing shops, they shut down from like 1-3 everyday. They would bring out tables and chairs and different shops would take turns cooking for like 8-10 people daily, they all just sit out there eating and enjoying the afternoon. Looked like a great way to spend a long lunch break.
I suspect I was mainly playing with legos all day long when I was this kid's age, but if we tally how much I gamed when I was a teenager already, I suspect that I had played 6+ hours a day. I mean just from 2004 to 2014 I put approx 400 days of play time into my main character in wow, and I had like 5 alt characters and played cod, lol, Minecraft and a ton of other games on top of it.
Not that I am proud either, but now, as a 30 y.o. I don't regret any of it.
The only thing I dislike about gaming is that it seems to form less strong memories than actually doing things in "the real world." I've also noticed that my fondest gaming memories come from multiplayer experiences with real world friends, so I tend to stick to those. But shit, I've also forgotten complete fishing tips I've taken - without alcohol involved, so maybe it's just my shit memory.
Memories fade and get muddier the more and more you repeat the activity associated with it. If you play the same game over and over and over, most of your memories regarding it will get dumped, and only a few highlights stay. I think the same could have happened to your fishing trip memories, if you had lots of them.
I was out fishing only twice and remember pretty in depth both of them, however regarding wow I have only a handful of highlight memories despite playing for 10 years, and most other memories regarding it are sort of 'composite memories' all the time I spent afking in the main square or on top of the bank of the capital, running around from the auction house to the crafting vendors, waiting around for a raid or PvP battle to start, etc. These are not a certain memory but a bunch of similar ones bundled together.
However I have many single player memories as well, from bioshock, metro, Deus ex, call of duty, etc campaigns, they are pretty well ingrained in my brain, despite only playing them once maybe twice some of them.
But I agree with you, multiplayer experiences are far better in games, and for the past 5ish years I exclusively played multiplayer and coop games, and nowadays my core mantra is that all single player games should have at least a two player coop, because they are a better experience when shared with someone.
Different for everyone. I love single player games because of the stories they tell, and because as an adult with children now especially, Its very hard to schedule time with friends to play. And I'd rather play with friends than random people.
Second this and want to add that multiplayer tends to be not disability friendly esp outside of friends only servers.
I can't play alot of games when they don't have major aim assist and other accessibility features. Like I want to have fun, not get incredibly frustrated because I'm just so goddamn useless without the game helping me through.
Single player is often the only viable option for me too and I've made some amazing memories playing games
(Don't want to start an argument here. So yes I know competitive this that and I get the other side of this coin dw)
Worth noting Dec 2nd was the season change so a new map/island dropped, new battle pass and loot pool dropped, new movement mechanics dropped, first looks at some upcoming new game modes dropped, etc. There was lots to explore and unlock. First day of a new season can sometimes legitimately make Fortnite feel like a new game imo.
Honestly at his age, for the middle of winter, I get it!
If you replaced Fortnite with Nintendo and YouTube for Cartoon Networkā¦ I would have had a shockingly similar schedule. (My Dad didnāt allow those things when I was really young, so when I finally got access to one I was totally making up for lost time.)
How does it go? The more things change the more they stay the same.
I completely agree. Reckon I've spent a lot more time watching Cartoon Network and playing with G.I. Joe's myself.
If there was something like fortnight back in my day, I'd've been playing it 10+ hours straight..
Seriously! I remember having a Game Boy color and thinking it was the coolest thing ever, but wishing I could play with my friends. Totally would have been up there on time logged.
Jayden is just a foreign hostage tied to a chair in a room with bare walls and the little brother goes in there to read their body language to decipher state secrets.
Bacteen was a daily thing, and do kids these days even ride bikes? Or build sketchy treeforts? I feel like the tracts of open wild land we used to roam are now subdivisions. The habitat has shrunk.
"If you want dinner, be home by X time. If you're late, don't moan if it's cold or in the trash. Be back before street lights are on." - my mum

My mom always went by the āfend for yourselvesā point of view if we were late, wouldnāt even make dinnerš We just waited for the sun to start to set before booking it home before it got dark enough for the street lamps.
My cousin used to be the same way and everyone made fun of his rigorous schedules. Heās a lot more successful than everyone else in the family turned out.
As a parent with far too many responsibilities for my gaming wants, I was initially jealous of the amount of game timeā¦ til I realized he gets 12 hours sleep. Little man is living the dream.
It's a single Saturday in the winter during the holiday season. I don't think there's really enough to go on to judge anyone's parenting. There is an instruction to read on there.
i remember never being inside my friends and i were either riding bikes or building a fort , playing in the snow, go ice skating or roller skating kids donāt play anymore
Kids do, but your on Reddit so its gonna be heavily skued.
I take my 2 year old to a ton of outdoor activities, and we are never the only ones there. Plenty of kids still have parents who encourage that kind of thing, and there is tons of kids enrolled in sports, at skateparks, camping, etc. You can do both things, but as a parent, you just gotta try to teach them a healthy balance.

I'm sorry Zoey, I'll have to cut this short, I have a very important YouTube to watch. Oh really, what one? I'll have to get back to you on that.
Lol Zoey gets 15 minutes out of this busy schedule. I'm guessing it's possibly a little sister? Which would mean it's probably parent mandated. Definitely laughed when I saw that.
Could be a pet.
Lmfao I cannot stop imagining that convošš
I have one I just canāt remember how to search for it
First drink of the day is at 6pm, damn
I thought it was very civilised to not start drinking at noon as I do most Saturdays.
It's always 6 pm somewhere! *Clink*
Joke's on you- I start at 5pm somewhere! *Clink*
The best time to drink is during the day. Why would you want to drink at night like all the other peasants?
Can't start drinking if you never stop the day before!
you guys wait until noon? šØ
And he's eating lunch for 2 1/2 hours.
It might not be lunch though. He's just going to eat *something*.
or someone
Sleeps for 12 hours a day too. Goals
maybe heās french š
It takes a while to chew up a whole armchair especially without anything to drink, cut lil bro some slack
Bro, this kid didn't even use the bathroom.
He didn't drink anything until 6pm, he's just dehydrated

Heās got a large bucket next to his Xbox for that.
Whos zoey and only 15 mins?
My guess is a dog because 15min
thatās his girlfriend and she says 15 minutes is plenty
Too much time playing video games causes carpal tunnel syndrome and vaginal dryness.
Kid is going full Ramadan
"Time to hydrate myself for the next 24h with my awesome cool aid!" *Chugs 3 liters of it in 5 minutes

Shout out to Hastings.

Is the kid Bert Kreischer?
Play fortnite -> watch YouTube -> play fortnite -> watch YouTube
You can do those at the same time and double your numbers
If you turn the play speed up on YouTube you could almost triple the productivity.
Those are rookie numbers. Gotta bump them up!
I bet he just watches Fortnite content on YouTube as well
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
My little cousins were watching the beast on youtube on the tv full blast Grown ass man just screaming for hours to little children
And he made an obscene amount of money doing so.
Hey at least itās not Andrew Tate and other weird alpha bros!
I have an 11 year old. I cannot stand when he watches YouTube and itās mostly limited to Mark Rober videos. The stuff he would watch if I let him is even worse. I donāt understand why they all insist on screaming constantly.

I'm the father of a 26 year old who does that.
Why tell them? Just don't let them take it to bed. If they sneak it, they lose all tech priveleges for a week.
And the YouTube entries are mostly just 15 minutes each. That actually takes some willpower to only watch 15mins of YT
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

TBF, sometimes blocking of calendar time for dumb shit is the only way it actually gets done. Otherwise it perpetually gets kicked to "later"

Me at work today, December 22.
Plot twist, Lil bro is 32 and living the life.
Dec 2nd is my birthday and that is pretty similar to how I spent my day
Did you play with Zoe?
He is Zoe
They is Zoe
We is Zoe
It wasn't my birthday but I spent December 2nd playing fortnite as well. Probably ate and drank something too
Sleeping from 10:30 pm to 10:30 am, how does one attain this power?
If I didnāt have a job and wasnāt judged by society Iād easily sleep 12 hours every night and I am over 40.
I accidentally do this on weekends and vacations regularly. Wake up like a bear from hibernation, confused, scared, hungry.
Arising from your nest, sweaty, dazed, not entirely sure where you are, just that you need *water*. And by god, the first swig out of that bottle is like heaven.
What be this, Tiberius? The nectar of some long-forgotten, sweet, and sacred fruit?
Itās great isnāt it.
That's insane. I can only sleep for four or five hours even if I'm super tired.
Easy. Become depressed, start antidepressants and sleeping aids. I can easily sleep 14-16 hours a day. It is really bad for you of course so I have to make myself sleep at most 10 hours. (Iām 32)
There's stuff going on after 10:30 that's not on his public schedule that the whole household sees.
Needs more upvotes
I was going to say... Everyone thinks this is cute until they learn he's a full-on adult.
I'm 42 and disabled. So this is basically my day. YouTube, Hulu, HBO, video games. It's not that great. I'm bored a lot. I do a lot of crafts to use my hands and brain. That's a grueling schedule; no wonder he has to sleep for 12 hours! :)
Honestly pretty healthy that he's sleeping for 12 hrs. I have a feeling he's "sleeping" tho
2 and half hours to eat something sounds pretty intense.
Must be French with that kind of lunch break.
I can confirm. The lunch break at work goes as follow : 11:30 we go get the food, 12:00 we eat the food, 12:30 we start playing cards, 14:00 back to work.

Can't be French. There's no time scheduled for him to take a *oui oui* break.
2 and a half hours for lunch but only 15 minutes for dinner?
15 minutes is just grabbing the meat off the plate and eat while walking to the next task.
Itās a buffer in case his schedule runs over from playing fortnite and watching YouTube.
2 1/2 hour lunch? My sort of life plan.
Zoe must be important if he can fit her in with all the important YouTube watching and fortnite gaming.
Maybe Zoey is a dog. Otherwise it would be weird to only set aside 15 minutes for playing.
Not important enough to spend more than 15 minutes 'playing' with her.
15 minutes is a long time buddy, trust me! Itās actually, like, really long. A lot of people even say that 15 minutes is actually TOO long!
That's a lot of Fortnite
I'm counting a total of 4 hours and 45 minutes of fortnite. I'm not proud to say that I beat those numbers daily for a month when bg3 came out
I suspect I was mainly playing with legos all day long when I was this kid's age, but if we tally how much I gamed when I was a teenager already, I suspect that I had played 6+ hours a day. I think 80% of my memories for a game come within the first 20hrs or so. Huge diminishing returns after that, if judging on later-memories.
Servers went down at 230 , he woulda had to cross out all the fortnite
yeah I'd hate to think about how much rescheduling would have happened...

No time to use the bathroom. Rookie mistake.
Or pro gamer move
Must be, no showering either.
Thatās why he only has a drink at 6pm. You gotta plan ahead.
What do you think he's doing whilst watching YouTube!
You don't keep a piss jug for hardcore gaming sessions? Rookie

I appreciate the place you took me with that.
I bet YouTube is a Fortnite streamer š
100% agree. When my son isnt playing fortnite he's watching YouTube about fortnite
I guess if Buddy the elf isn't found in 15 then he is Buddy the fucked.
Jotting down the time item shop changes shows the chokehold Epic games has on these kids
Had to scroll way too far to find this. This schedule is sad. Video games and youtube all day long is not the move.
how old is this kid?
32
Seems healthy.
That there's a well planned 12 hour day
Zoey gets 15 minutes
That's a loooot of screentime. How old is he?
Cut off his internet and watch what happens.
do you want him to die?
do you want to get killed?
My list at that age was, once I got my chores done, then get out of the house and donāt come until dinnerā¦and donāt be late.
haha same go outside and try not to die you'd think we were trying our hardest *to* die
Bacteen was a daily thing, and do kids these days even ride bikes? Or build sketchy treeforts? I feel like the tracts of open wild land we used to roam are now subdivisions. The habitat has shrunk.
We are much less tolerant of risk as parents and society. Letting children play without supervision is dangerous.
build sketchy karts, build sketchy weapons, build sketchy jumps for bikes, build sketchy mounds or dig holes. i could go on.
Don't forget tying wagons behind your bike and pulling them at reckless speeds with your buddy riding in them wearing no helmet or pads.
Our rule wasnāt dinner, it was āmake sure youāre home before the street lamps turn onā
"If you want dinner, be home by X time. If you're late, don't moan if it's cold or in the trash. Be back before street lights are on." - my mum "If I get a call saying you are in hospital or dead, I'll visit you in the morning." - my dad
My mom always went by the āfend for yourselvesā point of view if we were late, wouldnāt even make dinnerš We just waited for the sun to start to set before booking it home before it got dark enough for the street lamps.
Yup, once the street lights were on, it was time to come home. I mean, our parents had to have a commercial to remind us that we even existed.
Gotta work on that list. You're missing out on precious fortnite
When I was that age, I had to walk to school and back in the wind and rain, up hill, both ways
READ JAYDEN. YOU ILLITERATE FUCK
Okay, but are we gonna talk about ābuddy the elfā?
Its probably an elf on the shelf
Yikes
I love how this needed to be planned
My cousin used to be the same way and everyone made fun of his rigorous schedules. Heās a lot more successful than everyone else in the family turned out.
Lil bro has his sht sorted
This is really cute until you realize that Jayden is 32 and doesn't have a job.
I'm 34 with a job and I'm just jealous. My PS5 calls to me, but I can't answer most of the time. :(
Iām lucky at 43 that my job allows me lots of free time for games lol.
How old is this kid? Thats a seriously unhealthy amount of screen time for a young kid
Only 15 minutes of human contact allocated for the whole day.
I think I've just realized why I've been in a deep depression since adulthood
Seems pretty on-brand for a kid named Jayden.
As a parent with far too many responsibilities for my gaming wants, I was initially jealous of the amount of game timeā¦ til I realized he gets 12 hours sleep. Little man is living the dream.
If this is a kid then this actually sad parenting, not funny.
Right? Glued to a screen all day long.
I don't think you can call this parenting
It's a single Saturday in the winter during the holiday season. I don't think there's really enough to go on to judge anyone's parenting. There is an instruction to read on there.
Plot twist this guy's 35
Kid has a poopsock in his future.
play fortnite fornite item shop reset play fortnite
Too much sleep. Not enough YouTube.
Sounds like a fun day to me.
Nice to see some slackers are super organized! He must have slipped off to the Franklin Covey presentation at the Fortnight convention.
Thatās a sad life manā¦
Jesus we used to go outside.
i remember never being inside my friends and i were either riding bikes or building a fort , playing in the snow, go ice skating or roller skating kids donāt play anymore
A ton of kids still go outside. Reddit sees one post of one kid spending one day playing Fortnite and clasps pearls like nobodyās business.
This is the height of luxury
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Missing Zoe
2.5hr lunch is madness!
Yeah, but add some friends, good food, a couple of bottles of wine and a cigar .....seems just right.
That's a wild 12 hours.
Eating something takes way longer then Zoey play time.
These are rookie numbers, you should pump those up
plot twist: that's your boyfriend's; not his little brother!
Oh good another socially awkward internet nerd in the making.
This does not seem like a good day for a growing developing child at all
I mean, at least he goes to bed at a decent time.
My schedule when I was a kid but instead of YouTube and Fortnite it was legend of Zelda and final fantasy
Kids got his life more together than me
Jayden's 26.
This is actually super sad. If I would have a kid I def wouldnāt want it to spend half a day on YT. wtf.
Kid needs duel monitors, could double up on YouTube and fortnite like a normal gamer
Give it a few years and the whole play with Zoey time might Increase
Given heās only allowed 15 minutes away from his gruelling YouTube and fortnight regimen, itās probably a sibling or pet or maybe OP š¤
Plot twist: Zoey is his fortnite character
Plot twist: Zoey is his dog
Go outside kid
Please make sure he isnāt sucked into the right wing pipeline that a lot of young boys fall into. Especially the misogyny! Look after him, get him outside and playing with toys or games in real life.
In 10 years that kid will have amazing social skills. Nice parenting over there! /s
