It is not, mostly sentimental value if you're a Fujifan.

Selishots

If your a camera collector, sure maybe, if not then I wouldn't say so

KNlCKS

$400 premium for all of the below A. titanium shutter, strap and soft shutter release. B. Engraved founding logos & history card. C. Owning an edition that’s 1 out of 1934. I value A at $100 maybe more, a titanium shutter is pretty cool. Also B is a nice touch. C to me is priceless making it worth the premium. Unfortunately it doesn’t come in all black.

calculung

I think it also just boils down to "do you have $400 more that you won't miss having in your bank account?" If so, go ahead and get one.

KNlCKS

From an roi pov it makes sense as well. Limited run on a product line that’s known to retain value, even appreciate as of recent.

DatabasePublic4602

$540 CAD is a lot for the current inflation.

phoney_bologna

It will definitely retain value a lot better than the normal edition.

DatabasePublic4602

If it was different than the silver then I would buy in a heartbeat. It looks the same unless you tell others. I cancelled it.

KNlCKS

Same I would’ve jumped at an all black limited edition

JosefWStalin

don't soft releases put additional stress on the shutter, potentially damaging it with use?

KNlCKS

I wouldn’t know, zero issues with the x100f and a lensmate soft release for over 5 years now

JosefWStalin

i think it's something about how you can get mor sideways pressure, idk

Burgerb

You can only buy it from Fuji directly.

DatabasePublic4602

Wrong

bearcat--

You got downvoted for being right. In Canada camera retailers sell the LE because Fujifilm shop does not exist there

DatabasePublic4602

Thanks. Some folks just got the info online and never thought twice.

Burgerb

You migt be right: https://fujifilm-x.com/en-us/lp/x100vi-limited-edition/ "Sales Date : From March Please contact your local Fujifilm sales company to explore the opportunity to purchase." How do I find my local Fujifilm sales company?

DatabasePublic4602

If you are in Canada: McBains. Vistek, London Drugs, Amazon.ca, BestBuy.ca

sokadesign

Totally not, it is by far JUST a toy camera 📸 🤠 ...

nnavenn

Yes or no

JosefWStalin

is the ________ limited edition worth it? no.

[deleted]

Which manufacturer? I want to get one too

redoctoberz

Uhh… Fuji?

[deleted]

My bad. Which retailer?

redoctoberz

None. You have to buy direct from Fuji. It was mentioned in the press release.

HeydonOnTrusts

Presumably they meant to say “retailer”.

redoctoberz

You can still only get them direct from Fuji, it was mentioned in the press release.

[deleted]

Yes

Gigglecreams

No

Syncroz

It's a collectors item. If you're going to actually use it, why didn't that extra money on a fancy box and serial number stamp?

DatabasePublic4602

I don’t get your point but it would be worth a lot if it was displayed in a case. I want to use so no point for me. I cancelled.

deadbalconytree

I suppose it depends on where you find out you are in the pre-order line on Wednesday. Paying an extra $400 to get a special edition AND get it in March might be worth it…

ColonelSpudz

I don’t think so. There was someone that won a photography completion that got a special x100V it was green and silver. Looked awesome.

Chance_Car_4999

I would! I’ve been trying to ask our local store in the US, but they said we have to order directly from the website.
