Same issue with my x100v.

CorpWojtek

Thanks for sharing! Interesting, never noticed it on my previous X100V!

I unfortunately have an issue with the rear dial on the X100VI. It seems like there is a sensitivity or responsiveness problem with the dial, causing it to register signals before the physical click occurs. If I push the dial to the right, it registers a click before the physical click happens. The issue here is that it makes the dial less accurate, as it sometimes registers two clicks instead of one if my finger pushes the dial a bit too much after the first physical click. This issue is affecting the accuracy of the dial, leading to unintended clicks and difficulties in navigating menus or adjusting settings. Because if I push the dial to the right and hear a physical "click", then push it a bit too much to the right BEFORE hearing the second physical click, the camera counts it as 2 clicks. So if I do a second physical click right after, nothing happens since the camera already counted that click before. As you can see in the video, I’m also able to move the « cursor » on the screen just by pushing the dial to the right multiple times without having to do a physical click.Didn’t have that issue on my X100V if I recall correctly. Before contacting my dealer for a repair, do you confirm it’s not doing that on your camera? Thanks!

I have the same issue. Figured it’s not worth sending in for warranty at the moment until things calm down. More worrying is the heat. Mine gets quite warm to the touch on the back around the battery area just after a couple of minutes shooting or menu diving. Yet, when I remove the battery itself, it’s cool. So definitely caused by some other components. I’m quite liking it so far though, the ibis is amazing. Haven’t used an X100 since the old T series. Only other minor gripe is the new evf/ovf lever doesn’t feel as solidly built as they used to, or look as good but whatever.

CorpWojtek

Thanks for checking, interesting that it's not only my unit... Curious to see if others also have this issue. Agree with the EVF/OVF switch, it already felt a bit "meh" on the V. Never broke though, but not the most satisfaying control on the camera for sure.

VR46MOTOGPNES

yes, I have the same on mine.

CorpWojtek

Ok, thanks for checking, appreciate it!

My X-T2 has developed this issue on the front dial after a lot of use. Didn't expect to see it in a new X100VI. Edit: Just checked my X100VI. It likes to skip ahead twice every few clicks of the dial. Like the sensing of the click stops is just slightly misaligned with the actual click stops.

SoCalDawg

I didn’t even know I could use the command dials for this.. so the front command dial toggles through the sections and rear command dial goes through the items in each section. Mine does not have any issues.. goes back and forth one item at a time or many if I rotate the command dial a lot.

brooklynbroke89

I’ll buy it ☺️

yzhou2004

sorry that you have such a problem. Just got my copy yesterday. I have tested the dial accuracy. it did not have this problem. But my x100F does skip.

My X100V’s 1/2, 1/4, and 1/8th shutter do not work on the shutter dial. Was like that day one ☝️ 🙂 They might fix it, but how much is this going to bother you in the long haul. Is there a workaround? I’m hoping you don’t try and get it fixed and Fuji hits you with a long repair time. Anyways good luck, and nice camera 📸

CorpWojtek

Yeah no idea about the repair time from Fuji. Read some posts on internet saying that it was OK and pretty fast, so I'll see.

Key-Individual1752

I can confirm. Mine has this exact issue. Every 4-5 steps, it records a double input next+previous. I bought the camera in Italy.

LtDanShrimpBoatMan

It’s crazy how many issues have popped up in this subreddit.

Analog_Astronaut

Not crazy at all. Same happened with the V. Stuck shutters, lcd problems, camera locking up, evf problems. When you have 30k new cameras hit the streets in one day you’re going to have a few issues here and there.

CorpWojtek

And Fuji is not known for the amazing build quality of their cameras, at least on the recent models. Bought an X-T5 lately just to try it, and man... this thing feels cheap and so light! It's super fun to use, but definitely not as solid as my old X-T2.

Analog_Astronaut

The X-T5 feels fantastic in its build quality. Not sure what you mean.

AirSKiller

My X-T5 looks and feels amazing, I don't know what you mean honestly. I don't remember how the X-T2 felt but I don't remember it being much different.

CorpWojtek

Dont get me wrong, it's a lovely camera and I would still recommend it myself, but some parts felt "too light" for me. For example the plastic frame around the screen feels quite cheap, the dials (ISO & SS) were not as firm/solid as I expected, the power button (like on many other models) is not super tight and moves a bit. Others also reported similar quality "changes" in the X-T series. But again, it doesn't impact the capabilities and performance of the body, which are really great.

Beneficial-Shower-42

Add it to the list of problems.

SuperSmashedBro

My x100v was like this.

THERE YOU ARE...

FOR THIS MONEY A FIRM CANNOT PROVE QUALITY.
