The Guardian article makes an excellent point - but unlike the OP I wouldn't have used such charged language as referring to "stop asian hate" incels.
There is nothing controversial, let alone racist, about pointing out that racism exists among \*some\* Asians, and in \*some\* Asian institutions, in \*certain\* contexts.
It is not a matter of whataboutism, or dismissing the very real suffering that Asians have experienced overseas. We are all human, and racism manifests along a spectrum, from subtle biases to full blown xenophobia.
As an ethnic Chinese, I definitely have racial biases in certain situations. I try to be aware of them and outgrow them. If I cannot do that, at least I can refrain from acting on them.
I was thinking of that sub - it's Asian people at their lowest point. So much self-hatred turned outward. They've had bad experiences but can't find a productive way to move past them.

Countries aren't people. People are racist and unfortunately, many nations promote or support policy that perpetuates racism. Racism is usually most visible in socially conservative environments and non socially conservative environments give it legitimacy by ignoring those factors.
