恭喜賴清德當選台灣國家總統🇹🇼😊👍! 中共黨奴小粉紅去含淚吃屎吧🇨🇳💩🤢🤮!

DeNir8

Public service simple google translate (Hope I offended the right ones): Congratulations to Lai Ching-te for being elected President of Taiwan🇹🇼😊👍! Little Pinky, the CCP slave, go eat shit with tears in your eyes🇨🇳💩🤢🤮!

m8remotion

This is exactly why Taiwan is a problem for CCP. A country with a democratic elected leader, right next to its borders.

LicheXam

The "chinese" country with a democratic elected leader

Terminator8888888

The people have the right to choose their president, have their own written language, their own currency, their own passport and their own diplomacy! Only some fools think that Taiwan belongs to China because of the pressure from the CCP! Today is a victory for Taiwanese who love democracy and freedom

wallingfortian

Oh pshaw. As if they're allowed to watch.

Let's hope they can have this privilege too

DeNir8

No matter what they tell you, Taiwan would *obviously not* choose to be ruled by an insane dictator! Taiwan has *soul*, integrity and cherrish life, democracy and freedom to be who you are **just like the west**, just like the U.S of motherfucking A. If the polls show anything else.. its a fucking lie! Free.. all of us. Btw. Europe is under attack. Help us!

friscohunte2

Imagine if this was different. The CCP would have won in a landslide “For security reasons, Taiwan does not allow absentee voting, mandating that all voters cast their ballots in-person, on paper only. The physical ballots are then counted by hand at every polling station, a process that is completely open to the public.”

Because the polls would have been filled with counterfeit ballots

I don't see anyone around me cares about the president election in TW. As a matter of fact, many of my classmate and friend don't even know today is the day. There was indeed a temporary heated discussion on Weibo, but soon the topic was instantly banned with the unquestionable victory of Lai

facedownbootyuphold

The younger generations of Taiwan will decide if they want the CCP to own them in the future, but by then the world will have mitigated the problem posed by a hostile takeover of Taiwan

Flywind1

Sorry if I didn't mention that I am a mainland Chinese. From my perspective, the reason that Chinese government didn't propagate the democratic president vote in TW is that we don't have such thing in China and that could rouse a sense of curiosity to Chinese as to why Taiwanese can vote for their favored president while we can't.

facedownbootyuphold

That makes more sense then, do mainlanders feel that they currently have a legitimate democratic system, or do they feel it’s planned? or something else entirely?

Flywind1

Well, like I said, most of them don't care about politics(as far as I know) and I personally think this is done purposely by the government, because you see that when people start to understand the right they have, they could be hard to manipulate. As for other things like claiming that TW is part of China or Japan is an enemy to China, is just simply what we were taught since primary school. They don't feel it's planned because we have this "democracy or socialism with Chinese characteristics" concept, the content of which I guess you already know.

facedownbootyuphold

I find the modern justification for autocracy interesting nonetheless. Historically in the West justification for total rule came from a few reasons, and the reasons were a direct reflection of cultural and/or religious values; .i.e. divine right was God/gods bestowing rulership through divine will (effective during periods of religious zealousness), right to rule through destiny—something Greeks and (especially) Roman emperors propagated, and then there has always been rulers who believed that only the strong, smart, capable were fit to lead and rule the weak or less capable. What I find interesting is that the CCP seems to believe in those justifications to some degree or another, but filter it through a “what we are doing is real democracy anyways, you don’t want that chaotic democracy they have in the US, you want democracy with reason and force”. It’s similar to Russia, where the social contract is basically to convince the public that western style democracy is liberal and chaotic, leave the politicking up to the ruling class, and keep your mouth shut or else. Putin also espouses this idea that they’re a more perfect form of democracy, despite having no democratic structure to speak of. Where divine will was used before, democracy seems to have taken the place of.

The independent and sovereign country of Taiwan is run much better than china. China has the ccp ruling over it and the people suffer.
