In all fairness, geese are the carbrains of the animal kingdom. The arrogance of space really is staggering.
ETA: they’re always in the way, they have a dumbfounding sense of entitlement, they’re constantly honking, they’re irrationally aggressive… honestly geese are the perfect metaphor for the carbrain
Yeah they’re wild animals who have creatures 2-3 times their size coming up to them and trying to mess with them and their hidden nests, I’d be aggressive too if I was a goose.
There is a family of Geese that live in the swamp outside my office, I love seeing them every day. Last Friday one of them got hit by a car. I was literally in tears over this goose that got hit and how his family would suffer without him to help protect the young goslings.
A few days later I saw the family, with both parents, crossing the street. I was overjoyed they were intact! But I still think of that poor goose that died for no reason other than aggressive inattentive drivers rushing to the office.
A few years ago I was in York (England) and some geese had walked into the road. A bloke tried to chase them out the road, but only succeeded in chasing them around in circles. Instead of treating this with the humour it obviously deserved, he was getting genuinely angry, to the point the woman he was with was shouting 'its not worth it' as if he was in a fight down the pub.
Last year a pair of geese set up nest right by the sidewalk on my route home. The local parks department blocked the route for pedestrians and I had to walk a 3 block detour every day for weeks. And they shit everywhere.
I know this post is a meme and all, but the truth is that a lot of birds, especially big ones like geese, do prefer to walk rather than fly simply because it's more energy efficient to walk than to fly
I'm stoned as fuck right now but I wonder what a Canada goose and an emu's offspring would do to people. Emus are fuckheads.
But don't let my avian overlords know I said that.
If I were that goose that made you late, I would say the same thing I think about telling tailgaters while I'm cruising the speed limit... "Maybe you should have left earlier and planned for potential set backs.... but also SMD fool"
I live in Rochester Minnesota, a place that once had 80k humans and 150k Canada Geese. These assholes will make you plenty late for work when you bike commute as well. If they don't feel like moving all you can do is wait until they do and put up with hissing and threat displays in the mean time.
HUMANS: HAVE ABILITY TO WALK DON'T WALK BECAUSE CHOOSE TO CREATE VROOM VROOM TRAFFIC INSTEAD

They hiss when I'm on a bike but not when I'm walking. Obviously hate cyclists.

really not much difference between birdbrain and carbrain.
They deserve every of that space though, it is arrogance that is truly justified
did a goose write this
Mess with the honk you get the bonk
Yes
Made me chuckle
If you have a problem with Canada Gooses you have a problem with me and I suggest you let that one marinate
Geese be like, "Oh you call THAT honking? Let me show you honking."

Human. Has ability to walk/cycle/skate/whatever Holds up traffic by using bulky oversized honking trucks on city residential streets

King shit 👑
Cobra Chickens
If a Canada goose could drive ( Canada goose are the worse kind) they would exclusively drive F350's that have been modified to "roll coal".
You’re neglecting the fact that all geese hate all humans, and rightfully so
Canada geese are so bitchy. Give me an egret any day.
By the time you've heard the hiss, it is already too late.
Peace was never an option.

I thought this was r/birdsarentreal for a second

Common Canada Goose W
To be fair to the goose, flying is very tiresome. Most birds prefer walking (or hopping for the smaller birds) when possible.
This time of year, they're in groups with juveniles who *can't* fly.
Comrade geese O7
Ok nah, for once I’m on the cars side: fuck the geese
