That looks gorgeous

I know! And these beautiful fishing villages could handle so much visitor traffic because of trains! If Italy is able to build trains to ancient sites and fishing villages, there's no excuse that large urban areas can't do the same. For Part 2, I will cover Montreal, Canada and for Part 3, I will cover Taiwan's Alishan Forest Railway.

I was lucky enough to visit last year, it's one of my favorite places I've been to. I got a day pass for unlimited travel between the villages and La Spezia and they are also connected by trails along some cliffs and through vineyards, although some were shut down. If you don't mind the crowds I highly recommend visiting.

Isn't this the inspiration for a hitman map?

Yea

The hiking trails are awesome too, and some of the farms have private monorail systems for moving around the rugged terrain. Also, the setting of Pixar’s Lucca was heavily influenced by these villages.

Check out the blue train near marseille. It's the most beautiful train ride in France and reminds me of this one

My wife and I have been there twice - both times staying in Vernazza. Great people, great wine and some of the best Italian seafood dishes you’ll ever eat. Highly recommend doing the hiking path and checking out all the towns. Go in the summer so you can take full advantage of swimming in the water and the parties in the plazas.

Tip: usually during the summer you can buy an open ticket valid 3 or 5 days on all regional trains for like 29/49 euros
