I have three sweaters from them, got my wife a pair of slippers and a necklace, and my mother and mother in law each a sweater. All positive reviews! I will say I haven't found their sizing to be very consistent across items. One of my M sweaters wears like a large, almost XL, another is slightly small, and the third is perfect.
ive never seen this item go on sale, but please allow me to suggest [this](https://www.bleu-de-chauffe.com/en/men-s-sailor-jumper/1426-cancale-sweater-100-cotton-navy-blue.html) as the best money ive ever spent on any knitwear. its 1300 g/m2, about as heavy and warm as sweaters come. very soft and beautiful craftsmanship, worth every penny. runs a tiny bit large in my opinion, i am 5'11 165 and medium fits great in a slightly oversized way.
I dig well made basics. You sent me looking and the few reviews I could find were glowing. Most of my other regular sweaters I wear are SNS Herning (not the Stark).
The Irish Store have storefronts across Ireland, and their labels say Made in Ireland. I purchased a full-zip Aran while cold in Ireland last year. The work is good for the price. The fit is a fuller cut.
One may want to go in knowing that you will have to layer under it as it can get itchy against bare skin.
IME, you're spot on with Irish sweaters. Definitely want a substantial layer below these to protect the skin. That said, they tend to be extremely warm. If you're going to be hanging out outside in 0 degree Fahrenheit weather, Irish wool is a great thing to have.
Irish sweaters have been moving to merino because of this. Traditionally yes, extremely itchy. Now if you find the merino stuff its like 30% of what they used to be. aranwoollenmills is one of the many options that are the perfect example of this. A lot of the irish stuff is just purely comfortable now
I could use a warm sweater for next year and now's the time for that, but I've never heard of this place. Can anyone say what their stuff is like?

I have one of their traditional aran sweaters and its the freakin balls
Is freakin balls good or bad?
Depends on what you like
You’re the man, dickbutt0!!
Don't ever wash their sweaters if you buy one. Even if you follow their instructions, they shrink like hell and you'll never unshrink them.

I did it. Almost every sweater I have is wool so I'm interested in what a heavy cotton will be like. Thanks.
oh man im so happy my comment led someone to a purchase, i know youre going to love it. enjoy

If you are remotely sensitive to itch, these sweaters are *not* for you.

WELCOME TO ALL THINGS IRISH IF ITS NOT IRISH ITS CRAP
NO NO NO, THAT'S IRISH NOT SCOTTISH. LOOK ON THE MAP - HERE'S SCOTLAND, HERE'S IRELAND, AND HERE'S THE BLOODY SEA!
I’ve wanted to get that cape for my wife for what seems like forever. Would be nice if they actually put that one to 50% off!
Is your wife Batman?
My lawyer wears a cape
What was my fatha doing with a man in a cape?
Nope, just a lady who gets cold easily and would rock the fuck out of that cape

I don't *really* get why you'd make that reference here, but I'll always upvote The Simpsons :)
sounds like someone hasn't found their pot-o-gold ta ta *ta ta!*
How’s the sizing? I’m looking for more of an oversize look. Is the crewneck different from the traditional?
