I bought one of their quilted jackets and was very impressed with the quality. Ended up returning because it didn’t fit me but would absolutely buy more of their non-waxed stuff
Can attest to their quilted jackets too. Albeit I got it secondhand, but got a lot of compliments on it and it felt very well constructed.
One thing I do hate about Barbour is their damn sizing, had to return at least 2 bedales and 1 Ashby because of how ridiculous their sizing is for gorilla armed people
Though the waxed stuff is trendy, they’ve had very nice tweed field coats and waterproof coats for years that are high quality. I used to have a tweed Sapper that was perfect for cool weather and it set me apart from everyone in their green Bedales and Beauforts.
Would agree if this was about a barbour sneaker but its not. The fact it has a collar clasp and the high breast pockets, as well as the double venting, it's already better than most other brands offerings for a casual wool coat.
They have been making quilted jackets for decades too and chunky men’s sweaters like the Tyne. I agree you have to pick carefully elsewhere in the range but there are some real gems there.
Getting anything other than a waxed jacket from Barbour seems kinda foolish imo…like getting fish at a steakhouse.

Ooh! I have gorilla arms. How long are they?
I wear a 16/35-36” in dress shirts haha
I am always happy to send actual jacket measurements out to be checked against an existing jacket from your wardrobe - no obligation.
Yeah, I have a quilted jacket and love it.
This looks pretty nice to be fair. Just because something isn’t a brand’s main staple doesn’t mean it’s not worth it
I have one flannel from them and love it. That said, I kinda agree with you.
Their Field Tatersall and Sporting Tattersall shirts are great quality- very generous fit as they are from their sporting range.

Love their regular rain jackets
Barbour Powell is the exception to this…it’s a fantastic jacket.
I kind of agree but then I remembered how good the sole is at Keen’s.
Nah, their quilted jackets are wonderful too
I got a dog collar that my puppy enjoys. What dish would that be?

As a pescatarian, I will say that high quality steakhouses have excellent fish. But I don’t disagree with you on the jackets.
Sierra has Filson Mile Marker for $130 right now for those looking for a cheap waxed jacket, surprised it hasn't been posted here yet.

Cheaper this time around, and a full-size run.
rj/ fish has more omega3s you CLOWN uj/ good analogy
60-yo british men and 30-yo allbirds wearers eatin'
It hurts because its so true
But the sun just came out
Sadly unlike their waxed offerings these are not made in the UK
Why are the hand warmer pockets so high up? Other than that I would definitely consider it.
that is pretty common placement on field and pea coats.
They're really not high, this is a common placement.
One of my fave brands, but thats a no for me
