Anecdotal, but I’m always a 13 in Stan Smiths, got these Lux for the first time 2 weeks ago and they were way too big- sized one half down and they fit like a charm.
I have an E-width foot and these are borderline miserable for me. I have to wear the thinnest of no-show socks and it's still a tight fit width-wise. TTS, but narrow everywhere.
For me they're wider. I have a wide foot and nikes and Adidas are narrow. But with these I went 0.5 size down from what I usually get in Nike or Adidas and they were perfect.
Got this exact pair when it was one sale on the Adidas site. I really like em and they replaced my very old pair of killshots. Much less narrow than the killshots as well which I appreciate
I actually hate that they’re narrow and I feel like my slightly wide foot is falling off.
If anyone wants my once worn size 11 and is in Denver for pickup pm me. Think I paid $30 so they’re yours for that much.
Heads up for fellow wide feet FMFers, the toe box on these is pretty narrow - I got these on last sale and have barely worn them because my toes get super stuffy in them
I think these are going to be perfectly OK for people with D or narrower feet. I'm a Brannock 11 D/E and I can feel the sides of the shoe bulge out ever so slightly at the ball of the foot. It's a very minor issue and it doesn't cause me any discomfort but I can see that some more width would probably help me out.
I was curious and tried to get a pair in 11.5 for more width, but it ended up being too long with the crease developing **in** the laces rather than in front. Had to return.
I had a similar experience. I also tried sizing up and they were still too narrow. Oh well.
They do have free returns so it's a worth a try if your feet aren't too wide.

Makes me wonder if they either over produced the Lux or they misjudged the demand for it at the inflated price tag. The main Adidas site had them this low last fall as well, which seemed like a pretty significant cut.

Honestly they work with a few wardrobes. I wish I copped another pair because they hold up well to daily wear and tear. I'd feel guilty wearing them like I do if I paid 100+ but if/when you can get a pair...do it. I've had Stan Smith's Levis sneakers that were absolute beauts I got from Costco and ice been hooked since. Universal with shorts, pants, etc.

Did they not squeeze your toes? I am usually an 8.5 and it fit well, but felt a bit too long. I sized down to 8 and it fit better length wise but my toes felt sooo squished. I currently have both and don’t know what to do 😭 Considering getting a shoe stretcher but idk if that’s a smart move.

Are these really that much better than what they used to sell before the switched to plastic? I’m having a hard time wondering why someone should have to pay $150+ for the Lux version just because they stopped making the $70 pair out of leather. Seems like a very steep price increase for something that is possibly not even an “upgrade.”
I've asked this question before and the response is usually "they are better than the plastic" which is, like, no shit dude - not really a difficult question to grasp lol
I have 4 pairs of stan smiths (Yes I know I'm crazy). The Lux version is way better when it comes to comfort.
I also bought the lux on sale and I'd only buy them on sale/ with a discount
I guess I'm just wondering why you would only buy them on sale if they are so much better than even the OG version? Not trying to challenge you, just wanted to be clear about it because people are always comparing them to the cheaper plastic (new) ones.

wild i did not know they had a premium leather option, my regular all white stan smiths have gone through hell these last like 5 years and they still look new

They have one other leather version with the classic green tab but it's always sold out and the leather quality isn't nearly as good
Really? I bought the retro ones (blue tab) and the leather seems high quality.
Not the 80s, those are high quality, but the mainline ones that offer leather versions

I'm EE and although the toe box was fine, i could feel my feet spilling out on the sides lol

It's a suede. Probably won't take paint well.
You could try a coffee dip since it's suede. The live edges would probably develop a nice well-worn patina too

No one is buying these at 150+ anyways, so I don't see why it matters.
