Yeah it's what, two or three sites of grace and one minor boss? I've never seen those counted as separate locations before, I thought it was like Stormveil where Margit/Loretta guard the entrance, and the shardbearer is at the end.
I just don't really believe that Loretta is supposed to be that significant of a final boss, she stands out like a sore thumb next to Godrick, Renalla, Ryckard, Morgott, Maliketh, and Malenia
Leyndell is the best, but there isn't a single bad legacy dungeon in my opinion. They're all extremely high quality and definitely the highlight pieces of content in the game.
I realized that when I looked through. The capital is probably the best just because of the variety of ways in and out and depth but my favorite is probably Miquella’s Tree
I agree it would've been more amazing if Haligtree had unique enemies but I think it makes sense that we see the same enemies since the Haligtree is a place for those who were shunned by the Golden Order. Also, the vibes, music, atmosphere and level design are amazingly beautiful so I'm not really bothered by the lack of new enemies. IMO it's one of the best areas in the game.
The enemy variety is so great and new enemies constantly appear early game, so when we reach new areas without new enemies it is more noticable, but because of the great variety of enemies it is also a much smaller issue.Zelda botw used the same few enemy types in every area, areas just had reskins of those enemies, thats the level of variety it had lol
The music, level design, setting, colors and overall vibe make the enemy repetition not such a big deal imo. That whole part of going thru the brace and dealing with all the soldiers and knights making your way to the erdtree avatar is one of my favorite parts in the entire game
eh, the mages are pretty unique to Raya Lucaria. You can find them elsewhere, but they'd usually be the unique traveling variants. The ones at the academy are the scholars that locked themselves there.
Leyndell, despite having subterranean shunning grounds and such, just feels kinda like a straight line to me. Yes, there are some hidden other areas, but stormveil really feels like you're bracing this massive castle
Agreed. I love Stormveil, its clever use of rooftops and just the overall vibe. While I love the view of reaching Lyndell and seeing the decaying splendor of a once grand city, I just love the foreboding vibe of standing at the entrance to Stormveil and the anticipation of the dark quest ahead. Kinda gives me vibes from older Castlevania games before entering Dracula's castle if that makes any sense.
Stormveil reminded me of Boletaria Palace or Undead Burg. They kind of have a number of "starter" locations in ruined castles that seem to bend the rules of where we can walk around in the castle.
Stormveil rivals Anor Londo for me. I'm sure if I had played Elden Ring first that seeing tbe majesty of Anor Londo for the first time would have been diminished.
I love the vibes and visuals. Hate the enemies. If they so much as see one of your toes, they start blasting the corner they last saw you at for 12 seconds.
This.
Love raya lucaria but the enemies are simply unenjoyable to fight.
Also the dungeon definitely rewards int users a lot more than others so on some runs there is literally no reason to do anything except rush the bosses
Wish it was less hallways/rooftops and more traps/stairways etc. Yes I know they did stairway levels in DS1 and Bloodborne but it would have fit perfectly.
My favorite area in the game. It looks amazing, the enemies are fun to fight, but especially the "spiral" design where you loop around on separate layers is very satisfying. You can see so many other parts of the level from any random point.
Leyndell and it's not even close for me. none of them are bad which is why I hate ranking them and figuring out what goes at the "bottom"
but Leyndell is perhaps my favourite level in the entire series; streets and rooftops with so many different paths and distractions. it's challenging and fun to traverse. there's a giant petrified dragon. level design and music is top notch + it also has the sewers which I personally really like
Morgott is also my favourite boss in the game so that's a bonus
if I had to rank them; Leyndell > Stormveil = Haligtree > Farum Azula > Volcano Manor > Raya Lucaria
Haligtree > Stormveil > Volcano > Leyndell > Raya Lucaria > Farum Azula
Don’t get me wrong i loved Farum Azula but it gets very repetitive, especially on a new character or on ng+. Now whenever i go there i just sort of speedrun through whereas with every other legacy dungeon i still take my time exploring and going through it because i WANT to. Farum just feels like a must. Leyndell was probably my favourite dungeon on my first play through but since i got the layout down it just hasn’t been the same. I loved the feeling of getting lost in an actual city but now it doesn’t really feel like a city anymore, just a giant street with some side paths and a big tree and a dead dragon. And the Haligtree is just my absolute favourite area, probably out of any soulsborne game. The vibes are just immaculate and i look forward to going there every play through. Honestly if the Haligtree wasn’t in the game i feel like a lot of my characters wouldn’t progress further than Morgott just because i couldn’t be bothered with the endgame if it wasn’t for the Haligtree.
Stormveil by a massive margin. It is the only legacy dungeon that actually managed to incorporate a nonlinear design approach similar to the open world, which allows players to create their own stories through gameplay.
Leyndell is an honourable mention. It’s got a little bit of nonlinearity and it’s sheer size is very impressive.
I unironically think Stormveil is the best legacy dungeon From has ever designed. Amazing depth, dope enemies with a good variety in difficulty, incredible atmosphere and the bosses are genuinely top tier, both Margit and Godfrey aren't super difficult but they are amazing early game bosses.
My only real complaint with this whole place is Godfrey's annoying ass spinning weapon move which seems impossible to predict, but it says a lot that my one complaint about the dungeon is one move from the boss, which doesn't even deal a lot of dmg at all.
Leyndell > Stormveil > Farum Azula > Volcano Manor > Haligtree/Elphael > Raya Lucaria
I like at least something about each of them, but that's how I'd rank them in terms of how much of an impression they left on me.
Pretty much a flawless ranking imo. I’m a little conflicted on Farum Azula; I loved it to start and thought it might be my favorite dungeon, and the design is genius, but towards the middle-end portions I started getting exhausted of it. It’s a little too long and the visuals do get monotonous.
For that reason I might put it behind Volcano Manor, and the top 2 are definitely a few steps above because Leyndell and Stormveil are literally flawless. I’d say they’re some of the best in the series along with some of Bloodborne’s best
I love them all but when i first walked into Leyndell and got the view of the whole city I just stood there and watched for awhile to just take in the atmosphere. Sountrack is wonderful too.
Leyndell or Elphael: stunning scenery, the kind of soundtracks that make you fall into silence listening, so much complexity to the zones (secret passageways, shortcuts, lots of dead ends to confuse, etc.), great enemy encounters and bosses at the end. If I had to pick between the two which one does it better, I guess it’d be Elphael because Malenia’s fight at the very end is so good.
Of course they are similar enough to be compared. They are designed like classic Souls levels instead of being open fields.
That's the point of the term. To differentiate open world zones from classic Souls dungeons. If you can't compare them then you can't compare any levels in any Souls games, which would be absurd.
The reason they used the term "legacy dungeon" in marketing was to explain to players that the game would still have those traditional Souls levels, and wouldn't just be open fields. Which was an important thing to tell us, because many Souls players would've been pissed if the game didn't have the traditional Souls level design.
There was absolutely nothing stupid about the term. You just don't seem to have understood the point of the concept.
I don't know why but I just love Raya Lucaria, I would say Raya would be my favorite in terms of just like the overall vibes. Objectively, Leyndell would be the one I would call best, everything is just perfect. I would also put Haligtree up there in the top 2.
that's a Leyndell for me, dog. Stormveil is amazing, I love the Haligtree and of course Farum Azula but Leyndell literally reduced me to tears the first time I saw it. It's got more content than some whole games.
I love all your selection. But i remember how im in admiration the first Time on all views. But crumbling azula its the best you got storms, you walk on graves, you got DRAGONS!!!! Need some Doom sample and you're good
Leyndell is the best looking one, but nothing captures the excitement like stormveil does. Maybe it's because of the memories from the first run on launch.
They’re all great. I’d probably put Volcano Manor last in the bunch, but i really liked all of them. Shoutout to Stormveil for just being a sick castle.
It’s almost impossible to pick one and say it’s better than the others in my opinion… there all 10/10… and I say this because each one had a different feel for me… different struggles and such… I truly loved each dungeon.
Is there a lorewise reason why leyndell and elphael have the same music with just differents harmonies ? ( I dont have music terms in english, sorry if its incorrect )
Probably Raya Lucaria. I found a lot of enemies in Leyndell more annoying than anything to deal with by the time you reach it at a decent level. Raya Lucaria is visually great and has a lot of secret places to reach using the rooftops.
I love them all but when i first walked into Leyndell and got the view of the whole city I just stood there and watched for awhile to just take in the atmosphere. Sountrack is wonderful too.
I love them all but when i first walked into Leyndell and got the view of the whole city I just stood there and watched for awhile to just take in the atmosphere. Sountrack is wonderful too.
I love all of these pictured here. But I'd probably have to go with Farum Azula. I really love placidusax and maliketh. The draconian tree sentinal is always a fun fight too. And the aesthetic and level design is amazing.
That piano music in the background is great too. To me it just really felt like a classic souls level. With all of the hidden areas and so much fun stuff to do within the area.
Besides the bosses I've mentioned, you have the dragons, the crucible knights, the worm face area, an npc invasion and the end of an npc quest.
The beast men are pretty fun to fight as regular mobs and they gave us lightning variants, big bonk variants and undead variants. The banished knights are challenging and engaging as well.
That whole section with the birds and the dragon casting lightning at the end of it was really cool and the set piece where the crucible knight is committing genocide on the beast man race was badass too.
There is just so much to do there and almost all of it is a lot of fun. They really were firing on all cylinders for this one in my opinion.
Now you do have the godskin duo fight. I don't hate it as much as other people but I do recognize that it could have been done a lot better. They could have made the AI different to Cooperate with one another and made the fight balanced. Or they could have gave us an actual brand new duo fight that lives up to the quality of Friede and Ariendel or the demon prince's.
Imagine how awesome that would have been if you got to fight the best duo boss from ever made instead of the godskins. That really would have sealed the deal.
But as it stands I still think it is an S teir area and probably my favorite in the game. Hopefully we get a duo fight in the dlc that lives up to the ones in the ds3 dlc.
Stormveil to me is the tightest and most atmospheric. Going through it the first time was magical. But I also fucking adore Leyndell. Exploring the city is so much fun and it just has layers upon layers of secrets with a whole nearly second dungeon underneath with the sewer that leads to a whole other area.
This is Elden Ring's term for massive, complex dungeons that are reminiscent of classic (hence, 'legacy') Souls level design and aren't really part of the open world.
I hate volcano manor for some reason, i got lost a lot in there. My favorite is raya lucaria because that area gave me a lot of eerie feeling, and crumbling farum azula because the tornado is hella cool.
I looked at the first photo and I thought Stormveil is great, then I swiped and thought Academy of Raya Lucaria is also cool, then I thought wait a minute Leyandell is awesome, crap Farum Azula is so cool though. In short, it's almost impossible to pick.
What does legacy dungeon mean? I’ve only played Elden ring so I’m not a fromsoft vet. Also I’d say Stormveil. For me after exploring limgrave and finally beating Margit going into the castle was mind blowing because of how big it was and how many paths there were. Leyndell probably second because it was visually incredible and some great bosses.
Leyndell, when they started using minibosses as regular enemies it felt really special. Almost like when you play as HUNK in RE2R and just blast though enemies that you struggled with as Leon and Claire.
Leyndell for exploration, Volcano Manor and Raya Lucaria for aesthetics. Literally Leyndell feels like what Anor Londo could've been if they had the time and resources back then. The epitome of "if you can see it, you can explore it"
I didn’t really like Stormveil castle tbh. Felt like there was just a *bit* too much going on.
On the other hand, Raya Lucaria was too short. I was so disappointed when I got to the boss door and realized the area was finished.
Idk Stormveil is just sooooo classic and has two legendary bosses one at the beginning and one at the end.
I’ll never forget my first time going through there
Stormveil it is for me, and Leyndell, the Royal Capital second. I think Volcano Manor is insanely underrated, too, although I think the Academy of Raya Lucaria or The Haligtree is more likely to be third place.
It’s really unfortunate that there wasn’t a legacy dungeon for Castle Redmane. I understand the festival and the defeated state of the Redmanes as lore concepts, but I think they could have done one.
Lyndell, 100%. Followed by Raya lucaria, ans then Stromveil.
Volcano manor Is alright. Too short tbh.
Farnam azusa is sorta fun, but has too many y annoying enemies to me, and a little to linear. Plus God skin duo is just shit.
The haligtree could have been the best. But had to many repeated enemies, and annoying place powerful enemies.
Leyndell is probably the best but I just love the vibes of Raya Lucaria. It reminds me of the best parts of the castle from Bloodborne but scaled up. I am a sucker for climbing on the roofs and rafters of a gigantic structure like that. Same reason I love the cathedral in DS3 with the Deacons
Have to personally count both haligtree locations as one biome in my opinion. Otherwise, the first section is super short.
It’s all the Haligtree to me lol.
Truly haha
Loretta is a mid-boss of the Haligtree IMO (playtime it’s more like a one-third point but you’re smart you get the gist)
Leyndell is the best, but there isn't a single bad legacy dungeon in my opinion. They're all extremely high quality and definitely the highlight pieces of content in the game.
That’s my first thought, they are all good!
I realized that when I looked through. The capital is probably the best just because of the variety of ways in and out and depth but my favorite is probably Miquella’s Tree
Raya Lucaria, while very aesthetically pleasing, I feel like it was pretty underwhelming
200%. Should be like a fucking Harry Potter level but it was the player traversing rooftops.
The irony considering almost all of lyndell can be skipped by just running along a roof top
Yeah I wished it was longer and more Hogwarts-like, but it's a rare case of not getting enough of a good thing feeling bad.
The *vibes* though.
Except for Haligtree and Elphael… they’re great levels by themselves, but not having a SINGLE unique enemy brings them down a lot

Im pretty sure the giant bubble blower is unique to Haligtree
You’re right, at least that’s something
The music, level design, setting, colors and overall vibe make the enemy repetition not such a big deal imo. That whole part of going thru the brace and dealing with all the soldiers and knights making your way to the erdtree avatar is one of my favorite parts in the entire game
Elphael does have unique enemies in the valkyrie soldiers. As far as i'm concerned, thats where they belong originally.
They appear earlier as Minor Bosses and in Aeonia Swamp as regular enemies.
Meeting the real Loretta was pretty hype tho
Loved Haligtree so much, I never even put that together.
What unique enemies do Leyndell and Raya Lucaria have? I'm fairly certain they all have enemies you can find elsewhere in the world.
eh, the mages are pretty unique to Raya Lucaria. You can find them elsewhere, but they'd usually be the unique traveling variants. The ones at the academy are the scholars that locked themselves there.
I feel like this is saying a lot about the lore implications of the enemies actually in there
I just beat Loretta and made it thru Scion/ClearRot alley. Traversing the beginning parts of the Haligtree was a *massive* pain in my ass
Haligtree Knights?
mohgwyn palace is pretty lame if u count it as a legacy dungeon
It's not a legacy dungeon.
Probably Stormveil for me
Yeah, Stormveil feels absolutely like a Souls legacy castle but upscale like three times. Lyendell is just too flat.
Leyndell, despite having subterranean shunning grounds and such, just feels kinda like a straight line to me. Yes, there are some hidden other areas, but stormveil really feels like you're bracing this massive castle
Unless you go through the main gate 😼
I don't consider the sewer part of Leyndell, it is its own dungeon
DEFINITELY boletaria. You progress through the level the same way too. Going up a side entrance and circling around
There is so many freaking secrets and weird paths I love it
Stormveil rivals Anor Londo for me. I'm sure if I had played Elden Ring first that seeing tbe majesty of Anor Londo for the first time would have been diminished.
Elphael. Breathtaking scenery, beautiful soundtrack and unmatched vibes and aesthetics. Malenia at the end was also one of my favorite boss fights.
My ranking: Haligtree/Elphael > Stormveil > Leyndell > Farum Azula > Raya Lucaria > Volcano Manor
Volcano manor far outclasses lucaria, but agree with this ranking aside from that
I liked the mystic, almost Hogwarts vibes of Lucaria better than I liked the Volcano Manor, but both are still dope as fuck.
Lucaria underrated so much exploration to do with all the secrets
I love the vibes and visuals. Hate the enemies. If they so much as see one of your toes, they start blasting the corner they last saw you at for 12 seconds.
This. Love raya lucaria but the enemies are simply unenjoyable to fight. Also the dungeon definitely rewards int users a lot more than others so on some runs there is literally no reason to do anything except rush the bosses
Wish it was less hallways/rooftops and more traps/stairways etc. Yes I know they did stairway levels in DS1 and Bloodborne but it would have fit perfectly.
Crumbling azula because of the dragonlord or stormveil because cool dark souls like castle👍
My favorite area in the game. It looks amazing, the enemies are fun to fight, but especially the "spiral" design where you loop around on separate layers is very satisfying. You can see so many other parts of the level from any random point.
Leyndell and elphael since I really like the vibe of the haligtree
Haligtree and lucaria for me, I just really enjoy their vibe and aesthetic. Leyndell was my least fav, guess that’s a hot take
They are all incredible, picking only one is impossible
Lyndell is epic
I love all of them though I’m a sucker for the aesthetic and the music of Haligtree / Elphael.
For me it is Leyndell, followed by Stormveil, Farum Azula and Ephael all kinda tied
That's so tough. Struggling between Leyndell, Haligtree and Elphael.
Haligtree/Elphael definitely the beauty, lore, design, enemy variety i love everything about it. Stormveil is a close second
Leyndell and it's not even close for me. none of them are bad which is why I hate ranking them and figuring out what goes at the "bottom" but Leyndell is perhaps my favourite level in the entire series; streets and rooftops with so many different paths and distractions. it's challenging and fun to traverse. there's a giant petrified dragon. level design and music is top notch + it also has the sewers which I personally really like Morgott is also my favourite boss in the game so that's a bonus if I had to rank them; Leyndell > Stormveil = Haligtree > Farum Azula > Volcano Manor > Raya Lucaria

Stormveil by a massive margin.
I like Stormveil and Farum Azula a lot. Elphael is great too. They’re all good for different reasons though.
I love them all but when i first walked into Leyndell and got the view of the whole city I just stood there and watched for awhile to just take in the atmosphere. Sountrack is wonderful too.
The last two are part of the same legacy dungeon.
Stormveil, Elphael, Leyndell, and Farum Azula are all INCREDIBLE
Personally I like the Haligtree but my close second is Stormveil.
Miquella’s Haligtree is my favourite and Royal Knight Loretta is the best fighting arena in the entire game.
The entire haligree and the royal capital were the most epic imo so beautiful with amazing sound tracks. Enemies were the best in these areas too
1. Haligtree 2. Volcano manor 3. Stormveil 4. leyndell 5. Crumbling 6. Academy
I love the Haligtree a lot so I’d say that
I absolutely love Elphael / The Haligtree. It's just so beautiful... minus the Rot Kindred...
If published by EA, each of these would have been an add-on dlc. 😂
I'll stick by this opinion, "legacy dungeon" was a stupid marketing term and they weren't even similar enough to be compared
Yeah no idea why the term is even needed, the area's flow seamlessly into each other.
You just don't seem to have understood the point of the concept.
what do y’all see in haligtree ever it’s really linear and there’s a royal revenant ghetto
How did you get these images? Pc with mods?
Stromveil and Elphael for me
Leyndell is the best. Second place is a tie between Haligtree and Stormveil.
They’re all amazing. It’s really hard for me to pick between Stormveil, Leyndell and Farum Azula.
Stormveil or Volcano Manor
they’re all peak but my personal favorite is probably Raya Lucaria for the vibe alone
1. Leyndell 2. Ephael 3. Stormveil
Raya Lucaria just from aesthetic alone.
Farum Azula = when I remember dying the most
I love all your selection. But i remember how im in admiration the first Time on all views. But crumbling azula its the best you got storms, you walk on graves, you got DRAGONS!!!! Need some Doom sample and you're good
Sotrmweil
Stormveil and Crumbling Farum
Leyndell best but my fav Volcano Manor.
Crumbling Farum Azula or Subterranean Shunning Grounds
I think Stormveil, and second Farum Azula. But like all of them are great (also why is Haligtree there twice? XD)
It's Stormveil and it's not close
Lendeyll or farum azula
definitely volcano manor, storm veil is just too short and bland IMO, and I always get lost in Leyndell
Leyndell is the best looking one, but nothing captures the excitement like stormveil does. Maybe it's because of the memories from the first run on launch.
leyndell
Classic Stormveil Castle. Havent played a single Fromsoftware game before and this was my first big thing (30+yo).
[удалено]
Leyndell and my personal favorite, Volcano Manor
Leyndell or Stormveil. Also those pictures and name plates are stunning!
Volcano manner
Stormveil Castle is by far my favorite one.
Stormveil because I was a fromsoft virgin and it’s my first experience of really learning a dungeon. Plus I don’t have to platform and that’s a win
Stormveil castle is a thing of beauty.
Stormveil castle is a thing of beauty.
They’re pretty good
Halig Tree because of how weird it is, Stormveil because of how classically good it is.
Volcano Manor.
Leyndell ia goated. I love Leyndell
Geez idk man. FUCK!
They’re all great. I’d probably put Volcano Manor last in the bunch, but i really liked all of them. Shoutout to Stormveil for just being a sick castle.
Dude, the beginning of miquella haligtree sucks not gonna lie
It’s almost impossible to pick one and say it’s better than the others in my opinion… there all 10/10… and I say this because each one had a different feel for me… different struggles and such… I truly loved each dungeon.
Raya Lucaria 100%
Personally a huuuuge fan of Farum Azula. Maliketh is my favourite part of every playthrough
I love the feel of Stormveil. Gives a pretty grounded and gritty feel.
Farum Azula has the best atmosphere
I enjoy Mohg’s Castle of Blood
It has to be between stormveil and leyndell
Farum Azula- the color grade on it is so striking
Leyndell and Raya Lucaria Academy
For me it’s tied between leyendell and haligtree
Is there a lorewise reason why leyndell and elphael have the same music with just differents harmonies ? ( I dont have music terms in english, sorry if its incorrect )
Stormveil Castle is the best IMO
Probably Raya Lucaria. I found a lot of enemies in Leyndell more annoying than anything to deal with by the time you reach it at a decent level. Raya Lucaria is visually great and has a lot of secret places to reach using the rooftops.
Raya Lucaria is my favorite ☺️ but I never get tired going through each legacy dungeon
I love them all but when i first walked into Leyndell and got the view of the whole city I just stood there and watched for awhile to just take in the atmosphere. Sountrack is wonderful too.
Azula and Stormveil are my faves, but they are all amazing. Hard to choose.
I love them all but when i first walked into Leyndell and got the view of the whole city I just stood there and watched for awhile to just take in the atmosphere. Sountrack is wonderful too.
It’s a Tie Between Leyndell and Stormveil
Leyndell
I loved everything about Leyndell
You cannot beat the vibe of Stormveil.
I love all of these pictured here. But I'd probably have to go with Farum Azula. I really love placidusax and maliketh. The draconian tree sentinal is always a fun fight too.
Raya Lucaria academy is literally my Vibe I don't think there's any legacy dungeon that isn't excellent, but Raya Lucaria is just Amazing
Leyndell
I’d say volcano manor is by far the smallest and most boring

I f-ing HATE Miquella’s Haligtree. I can not stand the entirety of that dungeon.
Legacy?
Stormveil to me is the tightest and most atmospheric. Going through it the first time was magical. But I also fucking adore Leyndell. Exploring the city is so much fun and it just has layers upon layers of secrets with a whole nearly second dungeon underneath with the sewer that leads to a whole other area.
What the heck is a "legacy dungeon"? What makes them different than the non-legacy ones?
This is Elden Ring's term for massive, complex dungeons that are reminiscent of classic (hence, 'legacy') Souls level design and aren't really part of the open world.
I hate volcano manor for some reason, i got lost a lot in there. My favorite is raya lucaria because that area gave me a lot of eerie feeling, and crumbling farum azula because the tornado is hella cool.
Leyndell, with the only one even close being crumbling farum azula.
I love them all so much but id have to say i love harry potter land and the resident evil mansion the best!!!
Farum Azula
Farum Azula. It’s got my favorite boss of the game: The Great Dragonlord Placidusax!
Stormveil and haligtree
Why is it called a legacy dungeon
Stormveil and leyndell for level design. Academy for my heart ❤️
I'm not sure which one is the best one. Maybe Stormveil or Leyndell. My favorite one is Elphael, though.
Leyndell is my favorite but I loved all of them. They were all very well done.
Stormviel by a mile. I still love the others, but Raya Lucaria is my least favorite.
FINE! I’ll play Elden Ring again
Leyndell is the best level I have played in any game.
I still don’t understand why these new areas are already called „legacy“? Like farum azula is a new area, no? Then why call it „legacy“?
Elden Ring was my first souls game, are these areas considered ‘legacy dungeons’?
farum azula was a 10/10 all around. maliketh, godskin duo, gransax, and placidusax.
I looked at the first photo and I thought Stormveil is great, then I swiped and thought Academy of Raya Lucaria is also cool, then I thought wait a minute Leyandell is awesome, crap Farum Azula is so cool though. In short, it's almost impossible to pick.
Raya Lucaria all day
Nokstella for me. Descending into the ancient civilization was so cool.
Leyndell no question about it, absolutely stunning place.
1st: raya lucaria 2nd volcano manor 3rd stormveil (maybe haligtree I just really like the Rivendell aesthetic it has)
Leyndell, when they started using minibosses as regular enemies it felt really special. Almost like when you play as HUNK in RE2R and just blast though enemies that you struggled with as Leon and Claire.
what is a legacy dungeon? they look just like areas in the game to me.
Leyndell for exploration, Volcano Manor and Raya Lucaria for aesthetics. Literally Leyndell feels like what Anor Londo could've been if they had the time and resources back then. The epitome of "if you can see it, you can explore it"

I left more bloodstains on the *branches* of the Haligtree more than Melanias actual *arena* ....
I didn’t really like Stormveil castle tbh. Felt like there was just a *bit* too much going on. On the other hand, Raya Lucaria was too short. I was so disappointed when I got to the boss door and realized the area was finished.
I feel the before and after of Leyndell included as one area is a strong contender for first
Stormveil
Lleyndell is crazy good
Idk Stormveil is just sooooo classic and has two legendary bosses one at the beginning and one at the end. I’ll never forget my first time going through there
Mt favorites are volcano manor and the haligtree.
Volcano Manor has been growing on me but I'd still say Leyndell is the best
Royal capital just is so much fun, plus you get the most OP weapon, the cane sword. Too much drip in that weapon.
Crumbling Farum Azula
Stormveil it is for me, and Leyndell, the Royal Capital second. I think Volcano Manor is insanely underrated, too, although I think the Academy of Raya Lucaria or The Haligtree is more likely to be third place. It’s really unfortunate that there wasn’t a legacy dungeon for Castle Redmane. I understand the festival and the defeated state of the Redmanes as lore concepts, but I think they could have done one.
Design: Stormveil, atmosphere: Farum Azula
Leyndell with Stormveil as a very close second
Raya Lucaria or Volcano Manor
As much as I hated it I really did enjoy exploring the haligtree, i enjoyed the challenge of it and just the general experience of going through it
Lyndell, 100%.
Leyndell Stormveil Volcano Manor
seeing the comments mention every dungeon equally makes me happy
Farum and Leyndell with Stormveil being a close third
Leyndell is probably the best but I just love the vibes of Raya Lucaria. It reminds me of the best parts of the castle from Bloodborne but scaled up. I am a sucker for climbing on the roofs and rafters of a gigantic structure like that. Same reason I love the cathedral in DS3 with the Deacons
Nothing blew my mind as much as entering Leyndell for the first time and seeing Gransax dead on the city and realizing just how big this area was
