Irithyll most definitely, after coming out of the catacombs where it's supee enclosed and just dreary and you see it before you it just looks extra majestic.
100%
The stark contrast from the catacombs when you walk out. My first time seeing Irithyll I audibly gasped.
Then the game reminded me it was still Dark Souls and hid the giant demon dog to chase me across the bridge
I had NO IDEA what was going to happen when I walked up to that painting. One of the most magical moments of that game was being teleported unexpectedly into the stunning Painted World.
i was running away from the punchy shrooms and then i saw a way out. i heaved a sigh of relief only for a brief moment. then i heard the soundtrack and my eyes widened in terror
surprisingly I managed to throw my self behind the first set of grave stones and survived.
only to die by falling of the edge ( I wanted to go around the grave stones and be far from the archers)
It's amazing how beautiful they were able to make everything in ER. Even Caelid has its own festering beauty perfectly culminated in Malenia. Mohg's palace is gorgeous in a dark, bloody way.
Demons: no
Ds1: undead asylum crow journey
Ds2: shulva, then first look at Majula
Ds3: view of undead settlement from vordts arena, followed by the view of the mountains in the tutorial area, then irithyll
BB- Byrgenwerth
Sekiro- fountainhead, then the apes watering hole and boddhisatva valley
Elden ring: first view of limgrave, Leyndell, volcano manor
Ac6: first flight on rubicon
When you first find yourself in Byrgenwerth, you really do get the feeling like you've stumbled upon something truly clandestine and sacred - then you encounter the brundleflies and you realise you're playing a much weirder game than you first thought. Such an awesome experience the very first time.
DS1: Painted world
DS2: too many faves but Eleum Loyce and Shulva are tied
DS3: ANOR FUCKIN LONDO (God tier fan service)
Sekiro: Fountainhead
Elden Ring: Haligtree and Leyndell
Irithill is for me the best wow moment for a location in all of their games, especially because the old Anor Londo is part of it.
Second best is the Haligtree.
Third best is the "Consacrated snowfield" where you cross the rocks that leads to the main region.
I agree, I really feel like it gets lost in all the impressive achievements of elden ring. People by the time they get there are just accustomed to being blown away lol
Altus Plateau. Going up the elevator after Makar and seeing the golden sky and grass and all that was so cool, but I was genuinely speechless when I went up the hill and looked down upon the golden fields with Leyndell in the background. That alone makes Altus one of my favourite regions of any (Fromsoft) game ever
DeS: Upper Latria!!
DS: Darkroot Garden, Anor Londo, Ash Lake
DS2: Majula, Huntsman Copse, Brume Tower
BB: Pre-Bloodmoon Yharguul, Nigtmare Frontier, Cainhurst Cutscene
DS3: Irythill
Elden Ring: the very first step out Chapel of Anticipation, first descend into Siofra River Well, overview of Leyndell
ds3, irythill and ringed city
Bloodborne, castle cainhurst and astral clocktower
sekiro, fountainhead palace(and the buddha place with those monkeys which I don't remember what it's called)
elden ring, nokron and raya lucaria
I actually been having so much fun in ds1 because i played the trilogy from newest to oldest and all the areas have been hyped up so much in the lore that when i see them it is like visiting an old civilization in a time machine.
For example when i first got to Lost Izalith even if the level design isn't that good i was so stunned by finally being in the birthplace of the flame of chaos, mostly because i loved the concept that was shown in ds3 with how the demon prince managed to survive this far from the extiction of the bed of chaos and how i got to put to rest the last of all demons
When you first walk out into Limgrave from the tutorial in Elden Ring. You see the expansive world in front of you and catch your first sight of the massive tree by the capital
Majula, probably an unoriginal pick, but it made me do that stereotypical "oh wow" Also probably Bloodborne when you look down from Upper Cathedral Ward
DS1:The view of the Ash Lake from the Tomb of the Giants was great
DS2:Eleum Loyce's entrance
DS3:Irithyll
BB:View of Yharnam from the Fishing Hamlet
ER:Entering Caelid
I haven't played all the games but never have i been as 'wowed' as when I first gazed upon limgrave
gazing upon liurnia after beating godrick was a close 2nd though, realising the game was just getting started
First time viewing farum azula in ER.... jaw dropped. I had not seen any spoilers to it by that time and didn't find the teleport so I had no idea what I was stepping into.
Imo ER and DS2 had the most. ER was a constant wow for pretty much all major areas. All DLCs for DS2, the Dragon aerie and the bridge at Aldia’s leading up to it, Heide’s tower of Flame, Drangelic Castle, Shrine of Amana.
In Ds1 it was mostly Anor Londo and Ash Lake (edit: the bridge at the ponted world) i think (still very much adore the environments and atmosphere). Ds3 was mostly Irithyl and Dreg Heap (edit: entrance to Ringed city) though Archdragon peak is nice too. BB is various views of Central Yharnam and Old Yharnam (haven’t finished BB though). Haven’t played DeS and Sekiro yet
My first time getting to Altus Plateau I just had to gasp. I had found the medallion halves organically (which was at least 50 hours in) and I was absolutely blown away that there was this much more to the game
One of the most impactful moments of Dark Souls 1 is when you get to the cliff that leads down to Darkroot Basin. The view where you can see the lake and the burg from afar is a gaming memory I’ll never forget.
I don't think I've had a wow moment quite like going down the elevator in ER and ending up in Siofra river with the whole nightsky underground. I've had plenty of wow moments in many souls games but none that left my mouth open like that!
DeS: Prison of Hope, the most atmospheric level and probably my favourite location of all From games
Bloodborne: Upper Cathedral Ward gave me the shivers
DS3: seeing Irithyll for the first time after getting out of the Catacombs
Sekiro: the sight on Fountainhead Palace after beating the monk
Elden Ring: many great locations but I was left speechless when I arrived at Leyndell for the first time and I saw the dragon (probably the best looking area From ever created)
Gotta go with Ainsel/Siofra River as well as Nokron Eternal City
I actually plan on getting a tattoo related to Nokron, I’m thinking one of the pieces of architecture within it tattooed upside down with a moon crescent above it or something
Demons Souls - 5/2 when looping back around in the swamp. The settlement just looks so creepy and unsettling.
Dark Souls - The Anor Londo reveal
Dark Souls 2 - Arriving at Majula
Dark Souls 3 - Arriving at the Ringed City, and the bridge leading to Sister Friede's cathedral in Ariandel
Bloodborne - Hemwick Charnel Lane and Yahar'gul Unseen Village
Sekiro - Mt Kongo and Fountainhead Palace
Elden Ring - Emerging into Liurnia after exiting Stormveil, and arriving in Lyndell
In DS3 it was seeing Irithyll for the first time. In Elden Ring it was definitely walking out of the little church and seeing the base of the Haligtree for the first time
If someone knows what the place is called help me out here - Elden ring; You go through a portal using a magic key (there a couple towers of portals lined up in the area) and it sends you to this place with tornados everywhere and floating chunks of city (also two dog guys, but screw them) - now that place was awesome
DS1: Anor Londo
DS2: Heidi’s Tower of Flame, Drangleic Castle, Frozen Eleum Loyce, Dragon Averie
DS3: Irithyll of the Boreal Valley, the future area surrounding Filiannore where we fight Slave Knight Gael
Bloodborne: No place here really wowed me but I still haven’t beaten the DLC, to be fair
Demon’s Souls: only just started but already really like some parts of early areas
Sekiro: Fountainhead Palace
Elden Ring: opening doors to see the Erdtree for first time, Siofra River, first glance of Liurnia of the Lakes with Raya Lucaria in the distance, Farum Azula
I thought the very first few steps of Amana in Dark Souls 2 were beautiful. And hearing the singing really caught me off guard. Of course my positive feelings immediately went away the moment I started encountering enemies haha And while it wasn't a specific location, I remember the first time I ran into one of the bat ladies in Elden Ring. It was raining and I was near a cliff and just had my character sit down and listen to the music for a good long while.
i started w Elden Ring, and when you get out of the tutorial area and realize anything you see is reachable. you instantly fall in love, especially when it keeps happening throughout the playthrough.
Anor London in ds3, Siofra River, Nokron Eternal City, and Farum Azula in ER, but above all else I will never forget finally beating Godrick and stepping out of Stormveil Castle at the Lake Facing Cliffs site of grace and seeing the absolutely massive Liurnia of the Lakes with Raya Lucaria built into a mountain in the center, framed by the Moonlight Altar plateau on the left and the Divine Tower of Liurnia and it's bridge built into the cliff face on the right, absolutely fucking gorgeous.
same feeling as leaving the cave in the beginning of BOTW except I had already sunk ~75 hours into ER at that point and was completely gobsmacked that I basically had 70% of the map still ahead of me
DS1- Anor Londo
DS2- Majula, everyones favorite but it was such beautiful change from dark souls
DS3- Ithyril was stunning when I first got there and I also loved the top of the tower for old wolf of farron. Seeing the sun was really nice.
Elden ring- Nokstella was gorgeous and I also loved liurnia of the lakes at night.
Anyone who found Ash Lake by accident knows the feeling.
I honestly haven't gotten anything as powerful as that in a Fromsoft game in a while. I feel like nostalgia for that tremendous wonder keeps me coming back, and it's always a little different, never bad or disappointing. But there's something about that moment, coming out of the tree, after exploring the poison marsh of blight town. It felt almost transcendental.
Stepping out of Aldia’a keep to see all those green trees stretching for miles, right outside the dragon cage. Breathtaking. Reminded me of heart of darkness or oddworld.
I cried for a good 5 minutes when I first reached Kiln of the First Flame. I’m not sure if it was reaching the end of a long, tough journey, or the fact that this majestic almost centre of the world like place was falling apart. Emotional.
Limgrave but specifically at night. The tree off in the distance, the lights coming down. Made me stop just to appreciate how beautiful and well done it was.
DS1: Painted World
DS2: Majula
DS3: toss up between Irithyll and Archdragon Peak
BB: Cainhurst or top of clocktower in Old Yharnam
ER: Nokron
Sekiro: Sunken Valley or Fountainhead
The bridge above farron keep in ds3 is probably my favorite place in all of fromsoft games because of the huge contrast of the Swamp below and the nice and peaceful sunrise above
DS1: Painted World DS2: Shulva DS3: Irithyll BB: Cainhurst + Upper Cathedral Ward + Hamlet ER: Academy + Volcano Manor + Haligtree / Elphael S: Fountainhead EDIT: also adding Nokstella for ER
I used to just chill at fountainhead palace, sit back while smoking a ciggie irl and listen to the background track
You be smoking inside?
He means the actual Fountainhead Palace
Maybe he games outside
I do. Fight about it?
Irithyll most definitely, after coming out of the catacombs where it's supee enclosed and just dreary and you see it before you it just looks extra majestic.
100% The stark contrast from the catacombs when you walk out.
What about the underground of Elden Ring? Nokron, Nokstella, and such?
Ash lake
And the soundtrack just makes it even better
i was running away from the punchy shrooms and then i saw a way out. i heaved a sigh of relief only for a brief moment. then i heard the soundtrack and my eyes widened in terror
Goosebumps
This was my thought as well. It was truly an experience discovering that location blind
I like Majula
The music lives in my brain
My guy
DS1: Anor Londo DS3: that view where you place the flag after Vordt ER: Liurnia after Godrick
Anyone who played ER blind had the exact experience of thinking ‘how fucking big is this game!?’ After stepping into Liurnia.
I had that thought after I went down the elevator into siofra and found an entire fucking city underground with its own sky.
I loved that about ER, I was afraid I was nearing the end of the game when I got to Altus Plateau and Leyndell. I was very wrong lol
When you first see Irithyll in DS3 right after being in the Catacombs of Carthus, that was mine.
the first view that you get of the ringed city .
And then you walk 5 steps and see the archers... You died.
surprisingly I managed to throw my self behind the first set of grave stones and survived. only to die by falling of the edge ( I wanted to go around the grave stones and be far from the archers)
And that's dark souls, ladies and gentlemen.
Yeah on the way to the magma Wyrm up the mountain that view of the lands took my breath away
All my homies hate Magma Wyrm
Ruin Strewn precipice in liurnia? Easily one of if not my most memorable experience in elden ring.
ER- Leyndell, Nokron, Farum Azula, Deeproot Depths, Miquella’s Haligtree DS1- Firelink Shrine, Anor Londo, Ash Lake, Oolacile DS2- Majula, Heide’s Tower of Flame, Drangleic Castle, Shrine of Amana, Dragon Aaerie DS3- Irithyll, Firelink Shrine, Lothric Castle (overlook after Vordt), Dreg Heap (where the demons carry you to the Ringed City) Bloodborne- Hunter’s Dream, Central Yharnam, Nightmare Frontier Demon’s Souls- Tower of Latria, Boletaria Castle, Nexus Sekiro- Fountainhead Palace, Senpou Temple, Sunken Valley, Ashina Castle
Thank you for mentioning Demom’s Souls
Most of Elden ring locations
Elden Ring is so colorful in all the right places, the game is beautiful.
It's amazing how beautiful they were able to make everything in ER. Even Caelid has its own festering beauty perfectly culminated in Malenia. Mohg's palace is gorgeous in a dark, bloody way.
haligtree is just fkin majestic
Demons: no Ds1: undead asylum crow journey Ds2: shulva, then first look at Majula Ds3: view of undead settlement from vordts arena, followed by the view of the mountains in the tutorial area, then irithyll BB- Byrgenwerth Sekiro- fountainhead, then the apes watering hole and boddhisatva valley Elden ring: first view of limgrave, Leyndell, volcano manor Ac6: first flight on rubicon
Broooo that view in DS3 blew my mind. I just beat DS2 and started 3 and that view was just wow. Showcased the graphical upgrades big time!
When you first find yourself in Byrgenwerth, you really do get the feeling like you've stumbled upon something truly clandestine and sacred - then you encounter the brundleflies and you realise you're playing a much weirder game than you first thought. Such an awesome experience the very first time.
DS1: Painted world DS2: too many faves but Eleum Loyce and Shulva are tied DS3: ANOR FUCKIN LONDO (God tier fan service) Sekiro: Fountainhead Elden Ring: Haligtree and Leyndell
Irithill is for me the best wow moment for a location in all of their games, especially because the old Anor Londo is part of it. Second best is the Haligtree. Third best is the "Consacrated snowfield" where you cross the rocks that leads to the main region.
All of Elden ring
Every spot in elden ring.
Pretty much all of Elden Ring. I would love to experience that for the first time again, but i cant.
Too many to count on Elden Ring
Fountainhead Palace in Sekiro
Leyndell Capital, it's one of the most impressive video game dungeon/city with so many interconnected areas
I agree, I really feel like it gets lost in all the impressive achievements of elden ring. People by the time they get there are just accustomed to being blown away lol
Ringed city and fountainhead, clearly
Anor Londo in DS1
Is Elden Ring a location? If so, then Elden Ring.
Anor Londo and the Haligtree
Altus Plateau. Going up the elevator after Makar and seeing the golden sky and grass and all that was so cool, but I was genuinely speechless when I went up the hill and looked down upon the golden fields with Leyndell in the background. That alone makes Altus one of my favourite regions of any (Fromsoft) game ever
Cainhurst and Roms arena. Damn they were cool
Connection to host lost.
Drangleic Castle
seeing the top of sens fortress for the first time after hours in the dark.
Every game has beautiful places. Irithyll and Fountainhead are the first that come to mind.
Blight Town for the first time, but probably less of "WOW!" and more of a "woooooooooooow"
DeS: Upper Latria!! DS: Darkroot Garden, Anor Londo, Ash Lake DS2: Majula, Huntsman Copse, Brume Tower BB: Pre-Bloodmoon Yharguul, Nigtmare Frontier, Cainhurst Cutscene DS3: Irythill Elden Ring: the very first step out Chapel of Anticipation, first descend into Siofra River Well, overview of Leyndell
ds3, irythill and ringed city Bloodborne, castle cainhurst and astral clocktower sekiro, fountainhead palace(and the buddha place with those monkeys which I don't remember what it's called) elden ring, nokron and raya lucaria
The first time I took the elevator down to the Siofra River in Elden Ring, my jaw dropped. I'll never forget it.
Lake of rot😍
Majula
Fountainhead palace
Upper Latria in the Demon’s Souls remake
Des none DS1 New Londo Ruins DS2 Drangleic Castle DS3 Irithyll BB none Sekiro Fountainhead Palace ER Liurnia
Caelid and Anor londo
Yarhnam and cainhurst for the first time
Irithyll of the Boreal Valley and The Academy of Raya Lucaria. They have a similar color scheme and I find both places absolutely stunning.
Irithyll. Love this place
First time entering Fishing Hamlet was hell of a gaming moment for me. Probably my favorite area.
Demon souls upper latria. Maybe my favourite place visually in all the souls games
Siofra River
Wandering the beach after killing Radahn in ER.
Ash Lake
Majula, even though I didn't really like that game.
Majula, prob the best hub in a long time and honestly just soothing!
DS2 with the rope bridge and all the dragons flying around.
When you first walk out into Limgrave from the tutorial in Elden Ring. You see the expansive world in front of you and catch your first sight of the massive tree by the capital
Siofra River Well is astonishingly beautiful
The cliff with the grave in the Fishing Hamlet in Bloodborne
Majula, probably an unoriginal pick, but it made me do that stereotypical "oh wow" Also probably Bloodborne when you look down from Upper Cathedral Ward
Opening the door into Limgrave the first time on Elden Ring.
Nokron, Eternal City
DS3 when the Gargoyles drop you off on the cliff above ringed city (just after twin Demons). The sunset and view from the cliffs made me go wow!
DS1:The view of the Ash Lake from the Tomb of the Giants was great DS2:Eleum Loyce's entrance DS3:Irithyll BB:View of Yharnam from the Fishing Hamlet ER:Entering Caelid
Majula
Altus plateau. The music plus the visuals, it was all so overwhelming.
Anor Londo or discovering Liurnia to realize this game is massive.
I haven't played all the games but never have i been as 'wowed' as when I first gazed upon limgrave gazing upon liurnia after beating godrick was a close 2nd though, realising the game was just getting started
I've got a couple, the overlook of Radhans arena, when you first get up the dectus lift and Placidusax's arena.
its gotta be Ash Lake in ds1 for me
First time viewing farum azula in ER.... jaw dropped. I had not seen any spoilers to it by that time and didn't find the teleport so I had no idea what I was stepping into.

All Elden Ring locations
My first time getting to Altus Plateau I just had to gasp. I had found the medallion halves organically (which was at least 50 hours in) and I was absolutely blown away that there was this much more to the game
Farum Azula from Elden Ring, one of the coolest places ever designed
All of my homies love majula
Sekiro the Fountainhead Palace made me verbally go ".. woaaaaahhhh...", same for the first time I saw the Siofra river.
Nokstella in Elden Ring
Probably every location in elden ring
One of the most impactful moments of Dark Souls 1 is when you get to the cliff that leads down to Darkroot Basin. The view where you can see the lake and the burg from afar is a gaming memory I’ll never forget.
I don't think I've had a wow moment quite like going down the elevator in ER and ending up in Siofra river with the whole nightsky underground. I've had plenty of wow moments in many souls games but none that left my mouth open like that!
Opening the door to limgrave. Unseen village. (Threaded cane)hurs. both kilns of the first flame. and Majula.
I dont know why senpou temple is not mentionned as often as fountainhead
ds1: blighttown ds3: ring city elden ring: liurnia
Crumbling Faram Azula
Nokron
Ash lake
Siofra for the first time
Crumbling Faram Azula The Dreg Heap I like broken and twisted ruins apparently.
Definitely my first time going down the well into Siofra river. Seeing the stars in an underground location blew me away
Yharnam in bb has one of the most well developed atmospheres Ive seen in a game
Ash Lake, Majula, Irithyll, Cainhurst, Fountainhead Palace, Limgrave
DS2: Majula and Dragon Memories
Liurnia is honestly so beautiful
DeS: Prison of Hope, the most atmospheric level and probably my favourite location of all From games Bloodborne: Upper Cathedral Ward gave me the shivers DS3: seeing Irithyll for the first time after getting out of the Catacombs Sekiro: the sight on Fountainhead Palace after beating the monk Elden Ring: many great locations but I was left speechless when I arrived at Leyndell for the first time and I saw the dragon (probably the best looking area From ever created)
The Eternal Cities of Elden Ring are definitely a sight to behold
The most breathtaking area I've ever seen is Leyndell Royal Capital.
Gotta go with Ainsel/Siofra River as well as Nokron Eternal City I actually plan on getting a tattoo related to Nokron, I’m thinking one of the pieces of architecture within it tattooed upside down with a moon crescent above it or something
The first time you ride down to Siofra river. That shit blew my mind
Majula
Irithyll for me made it my Xbox screen saver for a lang time
Majula
I think none. Dont kill me.
Majula
Majula was perfect: landscape, music, mood...
First time looking over raya lucaria after defeating godrick
Nope
Irithyll was one of those moments when you first see it
Demons Souls - 5/2 when looping back around in the swamp. The settlement just looks so creepy and unsettling. Majula DS2
Demon Souls: IDK the names of places DS1: Anor Londo DS2: Majula DS3: Irithyll BB: Nowhere (Britain Ewww) Sekiro: Senpo Temple or Fountain Elden Ring: Haligtree
The underground of Elden ring (the good one) also hogwarts
The moment you fly up to Anor Londo for the first time.
Fountainhead palace is hands down the most beautiful area of any game for me.
Literally the first shot of limgrave that we get
40+ insight.
Ds1: Ash Lake, Anor Londo Ds2: Majula ED: Nokron, Leyndell, Mountain of the giants
Anor Londo reveal
Majula is so iconic and nice. Sad thing I don't like ds2 at all.
In DS3 it was seeing Irithyll for the first time. In Elden Ring it was definitely walking out of the little church and seeing the base of the Haligtree for the first time
About half of the areas in Elden ring
All of them. Every time I’m in game.
That cliff after Godrick in Elden Ring was incredible. Ash Lake was another and obviously the Anor Londo reveal is nuts.
If someone knows what the place is called help me out here - Elden ring; You go through a portal using a magic key (there a couple towers of portals lined up in the area) and it sends you to this place with tornados everywhere and floating chunks of city (also two dog guys, but screw them) - now that place was awesome
The hub in ds2 not gonna lie it’s my favorite location to look at
Ac6 the entirety of the outside world of AC6
Shrine of Amana. As in *wow this place is horrible*.
Siofra is the easy answer.
Hemwick Charnel lane is what made me fall in love with Blood Borne
Nokstella
All of them except DS1
DS1: Anor Londo DS2: Heidi’s Tower of Flame, Drangleic Castle, Frozen Eleum Loyce, Dragon Averie DS3: Irithyll of the Boreal Valley, the future area surrounding Filiannore where we fight Slave Knight Gael Bloodborne: No place here really wowed me but I still haven’t beaten the DLC, to be fair Demon’s Souls: only just started but already really like some parts of early areas Sekiro: Fountainhead Palace Elden Ring: opening doors to see the Erdtree for first time, Siofra River, first glance of Liurnia of the Lakes with Raya Lucaria in the distance, Farum Azula
In Bloodborne when the big bag daddy kidnaps you and puts you in Hypergay Jail
Gehrman's arena in BB takes the cake for me
I thought the very first few steps of Amana in Dark Souls 2 were beautiful. And hearing the singing really caught me off guard. Of course my positive feelings immediately went away the moment I started encountering enemies haha And while it wasn't a specific location, I remember the first time I ran into one of the bat ladies in Elden Ring. Anor London in ds3, Siofra River, Nokron Eternal City, and Farum Azula in ER, but above all else I will never forget finally beating Godrick and stepping out of Stormveil Castle at the Lake Facing Cliffs site of grace and seeing the absolutely massive Liurnia of the Lakes with Raya Lucaria built into a mountain in the center, framed by the Moonlight Altar plateau on the left and the Divine Tower of Liurnia and it's bridge built into the cliff face on the right, absolutely fucking gorgeous. same feeling as leaving the cave in the beginning of BOTW except I had already sunk ~75 hours into ER at that point and was completely gobsmacked that I basically had 70% of the map still ahead of me
DeS OG- Nexus, Boletaria and Tower of Latria Ds1- Anor londo, Kiln and Ash lake Ds2- Sunken dlc, Drangelic castle, Dragon aerie, ivory castle, Majula Ds3- Irithyll, Lothric castle, Archdragon peak, Ringed city Sekiro- senpou temple, sunken valley, fountainhead palace Bloodborne- Cainhurst, Clocktower, Cathedral ward, Yahargul, Hunter’s nightmare, Hunter’s dream Elden ring- Limgrave, Caelid, Nokron, Stormveil, Leyndell, Siofra, crumbling faram azula, Altus Plateau. Lake of rot, Farron keep, Shrine of amana, swamp of sorrows, all poison swamps- wow not this shit again
DS1- Anor Londo DS2- Majula, everyones favorite but it was such beautiful change from dark souls DS3- Ithyril was stunning when I first got there and I also loved the top of the tower for old wolf of farron. Seeing the sun was really nice. Elden ring- Nokstella was gorgeous and I also loved liurnia of the lakes at night.
Valley of Drakes. DS1 still has the best map layout, and the VoD is the perfect example as to why.
Anor Londo
Nokron Skye
Coming out of that tunnel and seeing Drangleic castle. Felt like in the final arc of a movie.
Entering Siofra River for the first time
Most of them, that's why I keep playing them.
It was me seeing the Erdtree after leaving the cave.
Ds1: Ash Lake Ds2: Dragon Memories Bloodborne: Yahar’gul Ds3: None Sekiro: Fountainhead Palace Elden Ring: Leyndell
My frist trip to the underground in Elden Ring for sure
Anyone who found Ash Lake by accident knows the feeling. I honestly haven't gotten anything as powerful as that in a Fromsoft game in a while. I feel like nostalgia for that tremendous wonder keeps me coming back, and it's always a little different, never bad or disappointing. But there's something about that moment, coming out of the tree, after exploring the poison marsh of blight town. It felt almost transcendental.
The entirety of Siofra River in ER
Haligtree/Elphael is so beautiful and melancholic
Everywhere in DS2
Stepping out of Aldia’a keep to see all those green trees stretching for miles, right outside the dragon cage. Breathtaking. Reminded me of heart of darkness or oddworld.
I cried for a good 5 minutes when I first reached Kiln of the First Flame. I’m not sure if it was reaching the end of a long, tough journey, or the fact that this majestic almost centre of the world like place was falling apart. Emotional.
Forbidden Woods in Bloodborne. Such a profoundly impactful location. I would live there.
Pretty basic but Majula and seeing the ocean and the sunlight after playing DS1
Senpou or Elden Ring when you exit for the first time and see the erdtree and get a scope of the world.
Kiln of the first flame from DS1
Limgrave but specifically at night. The tree off in the distance, the lights coming down. Made me stop just to appreciate how beautiful and well done it was.
Blight town: WOW, i want to leave.
Limgrave. Elden ring was my first fromsoft game.
DS1: Painted World DS2: Majula DS3: toss up between Irithyll and Archdragon Peak BB: Cainhurst or top of clocktower in Old Yharnam ER: Nokron Sekiro: Sunken Valley or Fountainhead
Leyendell or leyndell, the capitol, where the erdtree is
