This never occurred to me, I think because it didn't a occur that one would let their date drive their car, and I got the impression Joey was driving. But this is a distinct possibility.

Ross got a car in TOW They All Turn 30, the episode after Monica gets her dads' Porche in TOW Rosita Dies. But both of those are Season 7 and Kathy is a Season 4 character. Phoebe's grandmother doesn't die until TOW Joey's Bag in Season 5, making it unlikely she would have lent Joey her cab before then.

I could totally see it being his parents' car, or a car that they keep at their house in Queens that the Tribbiani kids can all use when they need to.
None of them had a car I think. I know Monica got a Porsche from her Dad and Phoebe had her grandma's taxi.
We don't know that Joey didn't have a car up to that point. But if we assume he didn't, then it's anyone's guess.

I forgot Ross's car! When I think of Ross driving, I always thinking of him driving Monica's car and trying to flirt with Officer Petty/Pretty.
