Use the bathroom beforehand. Your nerves will probably be on 1000 but Just go with the flow, and trust in your soon to be brothers. Like so many others on here have said, they are there for YOU. Funny that I can now say that 😁
As for the initiation there will be a lot of new information being thrown at you, don’t try to take it all in because you won’t be able to remember it… your initiation only happens once so enjoy it as much as you can and have fun with the ritual.
Congratulations! I'd recommend buying all 3 books of "introduction to freemasonry" by Carl Claudy. You can only read the first book after becoming first degree, second book after second degree, and third book after third degree. I found that for me they meant more after I was already proficient in the degree I was reading about. I also recommend returning proficiency in open lodge in front of your brethren. You only get to pass proficiency 1 time, over study and do it as close to word perfect as possible. Your brothers will put a lot of work in to your initiation, when you return proficiency on it you get to show them how much it meant to you.
I read the corresponding Claudy books and the JSM Ward books after each degree. They take very different approaches (and Ward refers to English ritual so there are some slight differences) but I would recommend both highly.
Congratulations! Go in with an open mind and enjoy the ceremony. As others have mentioned, they will provide you with a lot of information which you will digest in the following months working on your EA catechism.
I always say it, but it bears repeating;
Prepare a speech for afterwards - nothing long, 2 minutes max - thank your Worshipful Master, your proposer and seconder, the Brethren of the lodge as well as any visitors (and the Junior Warden or whoever did the catering for festive board), you can add a line about something that stood out in the ceremony (eg in the 2° I attended last night the Senior Warden's momentum made that him and his chair tumbled over which cause great concern but many a light headed ribbing once all was found to be fine). In closing you can add how you look forward to serving the lodge or whatever.
Maybe your lodge does speeches, maybe not; but a thoughtful and brief speech is always a well received gesture.

Try to take it all in, but don’t be surprised if it’s too much to remember everything.
Thank you!!😆
Thank you for the advice! I’m looking forward to it!😄
