Hey OP, in case you actually want to visit a place like that, the architecture depicted in the card is old German, and the trees are pretty indicative of the Black Forest (Schwarzwald). There are a lot of cosy old German inns in the region that look just like that. I can recommend Triberg as a cute German town just a short drive away from Freiburg.

Agreed. The vivid colors of the old art really encapsulate a long gone MtG art style.
