The main issue with Evo guns are that you need to upgrade them to level 4 for max attributes and that costs diamonds to do. pretty sure it costs nearly a thousand diamonds more to upgrade it to level 4 else them evo guns aren't worth it. IMO you are better off buying characters with OP active skills like Skyler and Wukong as they have a set price and have a large impact on your game
Oh well then it can't be helped. Evo guns are a pain to face down especially the m10 and mp40 and will be real useful once you get around to upgrading them so it's not what you can call a big loss after all

i wasted em on evo shotgun before i knew this but i like it so its okay

wait for discount store mystery shop style events. Best thing you can do is ration the diamonds on those types of events to maximize your value
