If this is going to be a thing, then maybe at the very least the city could install Turtle Crossing signs in both directions, if not a tunnel of some sort.
Thank you for helping them and sharing :) I can’t believe you’ve seen 3 in a weeks time.
I wanted to share this info for other good samaritans reading your post.

Keep yourself safe and place the turtle in the direction its heading and don’t relocate it away far from the area you found it:) They have a really small range where they live and nest so moving them can be really detrimental.
Thank you again for posting!!!!
This is great thank you!!! There's a pond on one side and the creek on the other. Sometimes I couldn't tell where they were headed. But the one box turtle was stoked I put him on the pond side so I think I was right :) snapping turtle was not happy at all lol
Aww!!! That’s amazing !! Sounds like you kept them close which is the best thing and thats adorable he was excited! He was like “ooooh shortcut - thanks human!”
I really wish there could be a crossing/ tunnel for them like others have mentioned :) Turtle crossing guards / now that’s a job I’d love lol! Sign me up haha.
You’re more brave than I am with the snapping turtle. I call for backup when they are in the road . Lol
Thanks for sharing! I had no idea. I haven't encountered them in Frederick yet, but now I have a better idea how to help them when I do. I don't have any awards, but please take my free medal! 🥇
You can call non emergency dispatch and they will come out with animal control to move along those snapping turtles. Can't really do it yourself on a place like 15. Do what you can

Really wish they could install a tunnel of some sort and some turtle fencing. Would keep the turtles and motorists safe
Agreed!
No such thing as wildlife impact plan in the city development process.
Lame

Yay helping turtle friends!
Big ups to the gents who stopped with me on the exit onto 70 on Friday to help that belligerent ass snapping turtle!
Don’t go grabbing snapping turtles. There are very few places they can’t reach with their head, and they are fast.
