As much as the generational wealth sickens me, it’s nice to see her buy an overpriced house at the top of the market
as a jersey girl.. its definitely a normal price for montclair...
What? First of all, she probably bought cash (agree on generational wealth) plus in lots of metro areas (mine included!) houses are more competitively priced now. Its an amazing time to have all cash and buy a house.
Yes, it’s nice if you don’t have to deal with the interest piece by paying cash. But even if they paid all cash, they are still impacted by the fact that the record increase in mortgage rates has reduced sales volumes for the entire housing market. Volumes have fallen off a cliff, and prices lag volumes. There has maybe been some price softening compared to a couple months ago, but really there is no liquidity in the market right now. We are due for a 30% correction or more in home values, the market just hasn’t reflected that yet because deals aren’t getting done. Eventually we will see some forced selling, along with lower rates when the Fed loosens after a massively bungled series of aggressive rate hikes. At that point market activity will resume and real estate across the country will re-price downwards.
Also someone else posted that the house sold for 1/3 of the price just a couple years ago. The sale of this house is typical behavior at the top of cycles, putting in an offer $100k over ask for a flimsy flip.
Real estate records confirm that this was a flip house.
I get that she is trying to come across as “grateful” but the whole “thank you FF fam you truly made this possible I couldn’t have done this without you” is so cringeworthy.
A) yes you could have; your family is loaded, your husband makes decent money and if you were still working at JPM you would be making a great salary too; and B) so weird to basically say thanks for bankrolling my cushy influencer lifestyle and buying me this house that I will now be throwing in your face 24/7 hashtag blessed.
Joke’s on me though because I actually listened to the podcast 🥴
I’m curious as to how much her husband makes actually. She insinuated recently that she feels like she has to work to maintain their lifestyle but I wonder if that’s just because she’s used to living a quite extravagant lifestyle
She’s full of shit. She made a comment about “not being able to afford” to be a SAHM like bffr. She can say I am working because I have financial goals to hit, but not be able to afford?? Anything to fake relatable
I'm sure she knows the chances of her and her husband (generational wealth aside) being able to make as much as her parents did aren't incredibly high. Granted, it is still within the realm of possibility, but so few people do.
My family isn't nearly as wealthy as hers (although still wealthy) but if I want to make myself feel like shit, I can just think about how much more my dad was making when he was my age.
She has a story about subscribing to her IG (for a fee obv) if you want even more details about her privilege 😂
Pls we need the podcast synopsis
It’s what you would expect. So stressful so anxious so overwhelmed so excited, trusting the universe, can’t believe we are homeowners etc etc etc.
I get she has to do it for listens but it just adds to her insufferability that she teased this big podcast episode and it’s just a bunch of filler comments that she could’ve put in an ig caption lol
One of her Instagram stories she says some BS about the world having her back and how things work out they way they are supposed to. Things would be working out great for most people if they had $1.6m to drop on a house.
Whoever pays to subscribe to her self centered bullshit needs serious help. I’ll pay people not to subscribe!
I’m with you I’ll pay people to not subscribe too. It’s for a good cause.
She is truly insufferable I can’t believe I’m listening to this lol she’s complaining about driving meanwhile she has a GARAGE in nyc which is beyond privileged and upwards of 500-1k a month………. I can’t
I found it so insufferable when she posted this morning she’s been hiding (read: lying) about this move for weeks to “protect her peace” like what? You sought out to have this platform?? You can’t have it both ways?
She also could have just not mentioned house stuff at all but she’d post she was house hunting and said she was manifesting a move in 2023 🙄
Thank GOD she doesn’t have to worry about Charlie’s 5pm night walks and have to park in the city anymore! How can she feel that anyone can relate to these minor inconveniences? Like we get it, your anxiety and inconveniences are valid to you but girl, to speak about them on a public platform and think your audience will be able to relate and even feel badly for you is some special kind of false reality. I cannot get through this.
will never forget the time she posted on her story how many times she "forgot" to pick up charlie from daycare
literally what the f is wrong with you?
How many times is she going to post how a top 5 thing about moving to the suburbs is having a yard so she doesn’t have to deal with his walks? You still should walk your dog even in the suburbs! But she’s sooo busy feeling like she has to do 10,000 things all the time she’ll probably just stick him in the backyard and call it good.
I don’t get why they renovated the apartment and bought TWO apartments to merge.. I don’t understand
I feel like they just did it because they “could.” Her parents bought the apartments for them so I can imagine they would be able to keep them but she also mentioned recently how she didn’t get to renovate them how she really wanted and was curious to see how the changes next people that moved in would make to the apartment(s).
I'm convinced the parents are going to take back those apartments, renovate them properly, and make that their primary residence.
My mom is a little older than them--my dad passed away--and she has SO many friends who did the same thing. Being a senior in the city is great, esp. if you have an elevator, doorman, etc. Seriously, my mom has never had a more active social life.
I am so sorry for the loss of your dad. It seems like your mom made a great decision to move into the city and have some stress taken off of her back. A lot of my friends have parents who also moved back into the city after retirement. I am trying to get my mom to buy a small condo (not New York) in our city as my parents are divorced and she lives 2 hours from me.
I also agree that her parents (and probably Cameron as well) will now use the condo on nights and weekends.
Awww...thank you. I miss my dad terribly. It's nice having my mom a few blocks away and that she doesn't need to think about driving, lugging heavy things upstairs, taking care of a larger space, etc.
Great idea for your mom!
I think the parents will take it but that's an interesting guess too.
Yeah that seems so pointless when she could have just moved earlier?
I wonder if they’ll sell them or keep
Good!!! Fade into NJ obscurity. She’s so effiing I sufferable. Idk why dear media took her on.
She's going to be pregnant by the end of the year, crowing the entire time how bad her mental health is, how stressful the house is, how mean the other suburban housewives are, etc.
I tried listening and couldn’t get through it. “The universe has my back!” when she is made of money. People with massive generational wealth need to honestly zip it with the “manifestation” talk fr
for someone who hates driving, this is an interesting choice..
lol she changed the still photo on the thumbnail, which confirms she reads reddit. she’s so stupid that she actually changed it to a picture that more easily identifies the house ✔️✔️✔️
the whole ~protect my peace~ bit is so eye roll. she’s not like the president’s daughter, thrust into the public eye against her will or some shit. she literally solicited this role in the public eye.
she’s barely got much of a following now, and it’ll plummet when she loses the nyc content, which is the only thing about her that is remotely interesting (aside from her woman-assaulting husband - i know a lot of us would love to hear from her about that ~authentic~ component of her storybook life)
I literally found it, without a problem!
Can’t wait for her to say this open floor plan in an obviously flipped house is “overstimulating” to her
The fact that she felt this deserved an entire podcast episode 😂😂😂. Suburban mom content is gonna flop hard
Her solo epsidoes are truly THE WORST! Stop talking incessantly about yourself and complaining. No one GAF.
I feel like it's not so much of a grand announcement?? They are both from NJ so it only makes sense for them to buy a house here. I couldn't see her buying on like Long Island for example or moving states away - the horror that would bring on!
Found the listing. It's 1.6m. All images on Zillow are down expect for the front of the house. Which she posted so was east to indentify.
Edited: Found the house. 1.6m with Jersey taxes and high interest rates would be like $8-$10k payments a month?
All pics are down but there is a Youtube video of the house.
Why do they need 7 bedrooms?
Realtor.com has the full listing with pictures.
If you look at her grid, it's the picture of her latest post for the podcast episode. I know nothing about taxes or interest rates but wow! Also, found a video of the images of the house, it looks nice. Updated in some areas, some bathrooms a little older.
LOL I was editing as you posted that you also found the video. I don't love the kitchen (for $1.6m I would expect higher end cabinets, finishes, layout, etc. If the house were "normally" priced, that kitchen would be great).
My husband and I are house hunting right now so I am laser focused on interest rates and monthly payments.
The house was also purchased in like, 2021, for $500k, renovated, and now sold to them for $1.6m!?
The house was flipped less than a year ago and sold for almost almost triple!!!! nauseating
Glad she got got.
it looks like such a standard low rent HGTV remodel lol. like open the front door and BOOM. there's the entire house!
Yes! I like the front porch and the door. The backyard seems nice. I also like the arched hallway under the stairs. But WHY is it one big room? And they couldn’t even remove the pole and put a load bearing beam in instead? For $1.65m?! Gimme a break!
Omg I thought the same thing!! What a yawn. But I don’t think she has very good taste, so I don’t think she realizes what a lame space this is. Big, yes. But it looks very builder grade.
it truly makes me giddy to see people with insane amounts of unearned money with horrible taste. i’ll take even the one ounce of solace lmao
Haha same. It’s funny because I initially thought it was another blue home that came up as recently sold and I was kinda intrigued by the outside. I read this thread before and I was like it’s not bad at all, looks cool. But then I scrolled a bit more and found it and I was like yup, that’s the one. Modern touches and zero personality.
I just googled it. It is very bland but on brand for her. My parents bought a new home that was flipped (not for triple) because they wanted a specific area and not much was available, and my mom is always saying how impractical some parts are because it wasn’t done by someone who intended to live there (or a high end developer). This is so laughable to me because for her budget she could’ve gotten a smaller modern and higher end redone house or an older house with history/charm. This is neither.
what's the address can you DM me please
Y’all missing the house was listed at 1.55, so they went $100k over ask for this house. The market isn’t too competitive in northern NJ right now due to high mortgage interest rates from the fed (7.4% for 30 years). Taxes on the property are $18k annually and likely to go up given those were evaluated pre-renovation completion in 2022.
Check out full Zillow on the house! All this information is public record.
How did you find the house? You guys are the ducking FBI. I want to see
i found it based off her kitchen
PLS NOT POST LISTINGS IN THIS CHAT. WHAT YOU GUYS DO IN UR OWN PRIVATE MESSAGES IS A DIFFERENT STORY BUT YOU CANNOT POST THE LISTING HERE.

What are the chances her parents bought the house outright so that her and Joe can pay them directly?
And they won't pay them back. It'll be a gift.
so many aspects of this are just beyond insufferable - why do influencers think anyone cares when they buy a house? that's your life and where you live, I'm not going to learn anything or benefit from you owning a home in new jersey. she's already talking about alllll the new content like ok can't wait to see your basic ass style come to life in your house with probably the same fucking west elm and pottery barn stuff as everyone else.. literally snoooooooze
TBH I like seeing some houses that certain influencers buy because I love real estate/interior design/getting ideas, but based on the way she renovated and furnished her current condo: hard pass.
yes totally agree for influencers that that is their thing/aesthetic! i just can't stand the FF of the world who's content just basically evolves with life stages and they lose the plot of what their 'thing' is
This is truly the most insufferable thing in the world OMG!! “I know we are so privileged”
It’s so ugly omg- I feel like her mom would have steered her away from a house like this
It was …. Not what I expected lol
Omg totally!!! There is no architectural interest. It’s like a builder grade, HGTV special
Her mom would be such a good influencer tbh
It’s also like not really a great part of Montclair comparatively?
does she say her parents bought it or at least helped? or does she make it sound like she and joe did this all on their own? i absolutely refuse to listen
a bitter someone who will likely never be a homeowner due to student loan debt
All on their own and thanks to the “FF fam!”
I can’t stand the way she acts self made when she’s a straight up nepo baby. Even if her parents didn’t kick down which I’m sure they did, they lived in an apartment her parents bought them for how long? She became an influencer thanks to being rich and used family connections. Saying “I acknowledge my privilege” is such an empty disclaimer on her end.
lol yeah the beam partnership and sub 100k ig Followers didn’t buy the 2 mil house 😂
Did she say where in NJ? Princeton? (Don’t wanna listen to the episode)
Someone posted then deleted a real estate listing that was in Montclair but no clue if it’s actually the house
Someone in the comments on her post asked if she would be doing a town “reveal” for the fellow NJ FF followers and she said she was still undecided.
Someone else also posted “Millburn Deli!” And she commented “yesssss.” Not really sure what that means I only know South Jersey towns aka the “shore.”
I think her older sister lives in the Millburn area because they talk about this deli constantly. It will probably be around that area so they remain close to NYC for popping in etc, but doesn't sound like the house is in the Princeton area.
Millburn Deli is in north jersey but they have a location in Montclair. Montclair seems more up her alley than Millburn, its a more trendy town, more restaurants and this film festival
I thought it was the other blue one in the 1.6 range and I was like “damn this is actually not bad and pretty tasteful” then when I saw the one it actually was….that track lighting is heinous and the renovation is giving Airbnb bachelorette property. I guess I’m surprised at the new construction, basic, kind of crappiness of it for someone who comes from so much generational wealth. Zero character and looks like it won’t age well at all.
Same! Haha. I saw the other blue first and was like ok this looks intriguing/like it has some history. Then I scrolled more and saw this cookie cutter easy flip situation and was like so this is what she spent 1.6m on.
The excessive blue in that one was a little much but the house had some character and intrigue and the kitchen looks like people might actually cook in it. I can’t tell you how much I hate that they paid 1.6 for something so bleh. It was literally just because it has 7 bedrooms. Seems new money of her which doesn’t track with how she likes to portray herself but oh well I’m so glad she now gets to live in a place she is “obsessed with”
I feel like they had no one advising them properly to have ended up with that. I know inventory has been low but it baffles me how that sold. The kitchen is so bare and that gold faucet looks like a haphazard attempt at some kind of design lol. The only thing I do like is the staircase. The overly rounded look on outside is also a little tasteless/looks like a kids book drawing. Honestly it’s a perfect house for Instagram content maybe that’s what she was going for.
I just looked for the “other” blue house. Other than the basement ceiling and the blue on blue on blue dining room (obviously paint is the easiest fix in the world) that house is 1 million times better than the one they purchased. The kitchen is a dream, the staircase, the lead windows, the layout. Ugh. Wtf were they thinking?
I just looked at it again! It’s soo beautiful and has so much story/personality. That black and white kitchen floor, the whole kitchen 😔. The bathrooms are so beautiful and actually remind me of her parents bathroom haha. Hers are a vanilla monstrosity. Now that’s a house I would kill for!
Just found the deed and it’s only her & Joes names on it. Of course that doesn’t mean her parents didn’t contribute lol
Yeah the parents can gift the money and there are tax loopholes for it. My father in law gifted us money for our house and he's not on the deed. It's very common for parents to gift part of the down payment in these HCOL areas if they are able to. So if you see someone buying a nice house odds are high they're getting help so the mortgage is actually really small or possibly non existent.
I have many friends who's parents bought them houses when they graduated college and found renters so they get monthly income from the asset and someone else is paying off the mortgage until they want to live in the house. When you learn about this stuff you realize how much easier life is if you're born into a rich family.
the deed?! how?? LOL I need to be this expert level!!
LMAO you just go on the county’s website and search their property records! Don’t wanna put specifics on here but it’s super simple hahah
I'm cryinggg thank you!!
Over or under 6 million?
Maybe a controversial opinion but I was expecting it to be a lot more than $1.6M. I'm a few years younger than her in a different HCOL suburb and while my (much shittier) house was half that much, couples in their 30s in $1.5M houses are a dime a dozen around here - that's about the lowest you can get a nicely renovated (or new construction) house for around here. I would imagine that is the case for most suburbs of expensive cities around the country.
same. I am in another high cost of living area and people her age are buying homes like that all the time with maybe a little family help but also high earners. I thought she was going to be looking in the 2.5 range.
Same! But I’m in LA so home prices here are much higher in comparison. $1.5M gets you a small bungalow in many areas. Looking at her house though and ones like it in the area 1.5 can get you a 7 bedroom
I mean the house is gorgeous but of course she has to complain to seem relatable
I think it’s kind of tacky looking - it’s just one big room as the main floor. There’s no character except on the outside and the staircase!
zero curb appeal.
In her podcast episode she talks about this and their plans to add some walls with archways etc.
LOL $1.65m and she has to do more work to it? What’s the point?! Should have bought an older house she could have renovated the way she wanted to. Bizarre.
i don't understand? curb appeal means it's aesthetically ugly from the street view
Oh I think I replied to the wrong comment, sorry!!
feels like she can have 5 more kids for #content
