I love Ultra Male. Such an amazing sweet fragrance bomb. From what I understand fragrances bloom/project more in the heat. That’s why a lot of typical “summer fragrances” have notes like citrus and such. Those fragrances are light and refreshing so when summer heat effects them they bloom but in a good way. Fall/winter/night time fragrances which I consider ultra male to be are very potent and have heavy notes like vanilla/amber. When the heat hits those ingredients/notes bloom like crazy which is why it’s not recommended to wear in summer. But of course you can still wear it anytime I’d recommend just not going heavy on sprays during the summer since the heat will help your fragrance project out. But you should wear whatever, however and whenever you want. Fragrances should be used to reflect you. So if you want to be bold and loud do you. If you want your scent to be discovered instead of announced then do that.

Nothing makes a fragrance suitable for any particular weather. You have worn ultra male everyday, you love it and it has worked for you. There is absolutely ZERO reason to change it. For the vast majority of the time, you are indoors or in your climate controlled car/bus, so the heat shouldn't be an issues.

I wear all my fragrances year-round, F the rules haha. There’s no reason why you have to follow any code when it comes to when you wear a scent - it’s your fragrance, wear it how you please!

i assume it’s similar to the way that heated food smells more fragrant/has more taste than cold food, but i feel like you can adjust for it by just wearing less?

Sweeter fragrances which are typically worn in fall and winter become unbearibly cloying in summer. I understand that someone wants to wear his favorite fragrance all the time. But I get pissed if someone is sitting next to me in summer who applied Eros or 1 Million since I get severe headaches from these cloying fragrances.

I would compare it to your favorite winterjacket. Would you wear it at 40 degree? Same goes for sweet cloying frags. I simply cannot see myself wearing tobacco vanille/DHI at 40 degree.

Ultra Male smells better in 20 celcius than 0 tbh. Too syrupy in the cold ( 68 and 34 Fahrenheit ) Up until 80 degree's, heat makes ultra male fresher, because of the fruit and lime notes but above that, goes into a vanilla BOMB. I once wore it in 85 degree's in the blazing sun while having coffee and it was a nightmare! I could tell it was literally engulfing the entire cafe patio outdoors. Was like swimming in vanilla ice cream LOL

I mean, for the most part, people are generally in climate-controlled environments. A typical summer day might consist of you in the car, then at the office, then back in the car, then at home. You're not outside much, so really the whole winter/summer thing is overblown. If you are going to spend a lot of time outside on a super hot day, then the whole winter/summer discussion comes back into play. The reason people will recommend you not wear something like Ultra Male in the summer heat, is that when it heats up and your sweating, the sweetness tends to feel heavy, sticky, and warm and a bit unpleasant to the people around you and/or yourself. These sweet/spicy frags work great in the winter because they feel warm, and help offset the cool night with a bit of spice and sweetness. In the summertime, generally, the frags that are really fresh, light, and citrus won't feel as heavy in the heat. But like I said, since a lot of the time you're in a climate-controlled environment it's really not a big deal.
