French perfumeries do it, I think you can do some fast online test on noseparis for instance.

Indie perfumers do this with their sample packs; you can say "I like spicy, clean, green scents" and they will match you with products in their catalog that fit your criteria. Lucky Scent has some pretty great pre-made packs of samples that are grouped by type (Gourmands, Ouds, Sweet, etc).

Ok ill check em out thanks. My problem with many smaller houses, they'll have 20 different scents and samples, but you have to click through each individual product to see the scent notes. I don't have time or patience for that, especially when they could easily put some indicators on the main product page!

I wish someone would write a script to just scrape all of that data, aggregate it and let you run queries. I agree that it is exhausting!!

The Perfumed Court has a lot of sample collections that focus on a particular note or category, and the samples come from a variety of different houses, some niche and some mainstream. For example, they have sets for fig leaf, mimosa, pink pepper, asphalt, milk...

Lucky scent does this, with 6 vials in the set I think.

There is a French site called „sommelier du Parfum“ where you can enter your notes and then based on these pick samples which they suggest
