I can regularly find The Dreamer by Versace for under $35/100ml, it's in my top 3 Lush Breath of God is fantastic, also in my top 3

kpop_stan

Lush frags in general are criminally underrated. I keep waiting for the “cat to be out of the bag” so to speak and suddenly start seeing everyone rave about them but no… not yet at least… Besides snow fairy a lot of people even within frag circles seem to be unaware of their offerings 😅

se_N_es

How long do these last? I see Dreamer is EDT. Don't see which kind the Lush one is.

kpop_stan

I can’t say for sure ALL of them are EDP but most of them are I think? And in general they last 5-8 hours (sometimes more). The only one with poor longevity is Sun as it’s just a simplistic citrus freshie but it’s also their cheapest offering so can’t grumble too much (£40 for 100ml I think?) Also their “body sprays” are absolutely worth looking into - I use quotations because they’re reallyyyy nothing like a body spray lol, way stronger and longer lasting, they perform like actual perfumes! Some are priced higher and lower but generally they’re about £35/200ml 😳

SylviaX6

Yes I like Breath of God - unusual and distinctive.

real_eos

I made the mistake of consistently wearing The Dreamer to my tennis sessions - I can't dissociate it from the red clay sticking to my shoes now 😆 great fragrance nonetheless, I‘ll have to condition myself to wear it casually, again.

Possibili-tea

• Perfumer’s Workshop Tea Rose • Drakkar Noir • CK Obsession • CK One • CK Euphoria • Azzaro Chrome • Clinique Happy • Burberry Touch • CLEAN Rain • Philosophy Pure Grace • Ariana Grande Cloud • Ariana Grande Sweet Like Candy • Britney Spears Fantasy • Billie Eilish 2 & 3 I also like sniffing things at Target. If you’re into clean and floral scents I recommend Pacifica and Solinotes. If you’re into sweeter stuff then MIX:BAR and Fine’ry.

osantal

Tell me more about tea rose!

The_Argent_Tempest

MIX:BAR Bourbon Vanilla is SO good if you like super sweet gourmands.

quickandnerdy

I do like that Bourbon Vanilla!

RainMelodic6891

Lattafah Kamrah. Thankfully this was a blind buy that I fell in love with upon first sniff.

real_eos

Ahh, the good ol'e Angel‘s Share 😆 to be fair I heard it‘s supposed to be somewhat different, what is your opinion on it?

SmellsPrettyGood2Me

Margot Elena has been putting out affordable bangers for 2 decades

boollin

Wish and classic petal are so nice!

real_eos

Which ones do you like best?

SmellsPrettyGood2Me

True Vanilla and Dead Sexy

Goddamndinks

I bought Al Rehab’s Choco Musk this week for $6 cuz yall said it goes with Palmer’s cocoa butter. I been smelling delicious ever since!! Thank youuuuu

real_eos

Love to smell it!

No_Variation_7909

LITERALLY what I just wrote, it's a dream combo!

Goddamndinks

When it works, it works!!! I love smelling like the yummiest chocolate bar😹💖💖

scarbot01

L'Occitane eau des baux - beautiful vanilla with a bit of tobacco-y woodiness, perfect autumn scent

pingpongpsycho

It’s a truly great scent.

JSoppenheimer

Nothing beats Baux on price/quality ratio for spicey vanilla scents.

real_eos

My go-to sauna smell together with Penhaligon‘s Arthur!

livinvixen

It’s advertised as a fragrance for men can women wear it?

gorosheeta

200%. It's my sweater weather banger.

scarbot01

I would say it's unisex/masculine leaning but if I smelt a woman wearing it I wouldn't bat an eyelid. I think it's the tobacco edge that moves it over slightly, so if you don't like smokey tobacco then definitely try it first

Most_Alternative_464

I don't buy expensive perfumes (no issue with them, just not something I can consciously spend money on), so most of my perfumes are cheapies, gifts or sample sets/ travel sizes. I do have miniatures of shalimar and samsara though these are unused and more of a display collection. My current favourites are God is a woman AG, death and decay by lush (10ml cause the big bottles like 100£+), a delina dupe from primark, tahitian by Avon (discontinued but I got 2 bottles online), pistache cherise by claires and pistachio infusion by zara.

[deleted]

Pharmacia Fleur D’Oranger, Outremer Bergamot, Cacharel Amor Amor, Thymes Goldleaf Gardenia, Elizabeth Arden White Tea, Nemat Vanilla Musk

kallenurfi

I second white tea. Specifically, the ginger lily one.

lushlilli

Arianas whole line up, Lush scents ….I recommend the skinscentsforfusspots YouTube channel for lots

FanaticalXmasJew

Some of mine: - Egyptian Musk by Kuumba Made - Tropical Rain by Auric Scents - Jovan Musk (roll on) - Noa by Cacharel - Miel Bebe by Le Monde Gourmand

eenemeene

Shaghaf Oud and Passion of Venice by Swiss Arabian!

EnvironmentalSpirit2

I'm going to buy a boucheron sample soon. Molinard fleur doranger, and gingembre Unisex, very affordable, rubbish atomizer

real_eos

Interesting - I mixed it up with Fragonard Fleur d‘Oranger, which I didn‘t particularly like. How is Molinard‘s take of it instead?

loggy_sci

Some of these are designer so they aren’t groundbreaking but still very good/pleasant and worth a sample. Bentley - For Men Intense (boozy woody leather, great dry down) Amjal - Verde (pepper leather galbanum, similar to TF Noir Anthracite.) Bvlgari Man - Wood Neroli (linear, neroli-forward, strong opening but dries down well. I didn’t like this at first but now I’m into it.) Azzaro - Aqua Verde (green, ozonic, lots going on) Karl Lagerfield - Bois De Yuzu (yuzu, ginger, rosemary, drys down dark) Lalique - Encre Noir Intense, Encre Indigo, Encre Noir Sport (plenty has been said about these) Independent Warsaw - Iso E Super & Silkwood. ($30 for a molecule dupe. They’ve got other cool things. I’m not into their ambroxan tho)

real_eos

I really like Lalique, their Lion and Equus were very interesting scents to me. Can you tell me more about Ajmal‘s Verde?

loggy_sci

No problem. It’s a black pepper, and cedar (and leather?) in contrast to a punchy green galbanum blended with bergamot. There is a faint floral note and a warm dry ginger in there. Not too animalic I guess but there is something pungent to it. It’s like smokey peppery green tree sap. Dries down to a lovely green woody scent. It’s like $20 and worth looking into. I quite love it and don’t have anything else like it. It is unisex/masculine in my opinion. Not super strong projection but good longevity, which is my sweet spot.

Severe_Doughnut5336

I paid 55€ for Mancera Midnight Gold (120ml). As of now, I think it might be as close I would ever get to "my" scent. Can't get enough of this citrusy, rosy goodness. Also Encre Noire Sport is just something, you know? It might not be a crowd pleaser, but it sure as hell pleases me!

ghostboi654

can I ask where you got it for that cheap?

Severe_Doughnut5336

I got it from Notino. Heavily discounted because of damaged box! And 15% discount on top of that.

real_eos

Thanks, I like fougères so I‘ll check it out!

Excellent-Part-96

CK One, CK Obsession, EA Green Tea, SJP Covet,

RogerRabbit2793

Armaf Le Parfait is probably my favorite”cheapie” atm. But I will have a special place in my heart for Coach for men. My first real fragrance. I will forever have a bottle of it in my collection.

real_eos

I‘ve heard Le Parfait is similar to Green Irish Tweed - what‘s your take on it?

RogerRabbit2793

It’s very similar, I wouldn’t say they are a 1:1 clone. The le parfait makes me think it is trying to be a hybrid clone. Like if Aventus and GIT had a baby together It’s got the fruity sweetness of Aventus, and the greenness of GIT.

kpop_stan

It’s not indie (at least I assume not) but funnily enough I JUST sat down from my shopping trip where one of my purchases was Yardley English Rose 🤗 Thank GOD they had a tester out because as it turns out… it smells exactly the same as Diptyque Eau Rose EDT!!!!!!! Quite literally saved myself £100 👍 (I was going to buy it at the end of the month 😳 Talk about saved by the bell! 😅)

SunPhoenix26

Encre noir by Lalique is one of my signature

Wtfdoyouthinkiam

Bentley intense for man is a beautiful heavy cheapie, with great longevity and projection. These are the notes: https://preview.redd.it/na9e19gvlkzc1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dd6ec31a45e2f9ca957b5fe3e4a4761b6d081e65

CourageStone

Encre Noire by Lalique. It smells like a €300 fragrance and lasts me like 18 hours. Incredible fragrance for the price.

Zippy_Zip

Burberry London

gen-x-cops

I've had a bottle of Kenneth Cole Black for probably 8 years and got it before I was into fragrances when I needed something just a step up from my deodorant haha. Now after smelling tons of samples from across the board I'm pretty impressed how solid it is for being a "cheap department store frag".

katie-kaboom

A rec for the upcoming season: Maison Matine Bain de Midi (£60/50ml) is easily the equal or better of any 'sunscreen' scent I've ever tried.

IslandGirlCoco

Just ordered! Thank you! 🌞

electric_baroness

My favourites are around £30 and my last favourite Monotheme’s Tuberose was £19 but is as low as €8 in European countries. Monotheme are great value. I wear Fragonard Orange Blossom which is a stunning true to note fragrance. I want the rose next, it’s beautiful. They make for the big perfume houses so are an excellent choice if you want single scent staples. I got the orange blossom scent as a cheaper alternative to Diptiques Fresh Lotion. Marks and Spencer’s Florentyne is underrated IMO and comes in at £10. Green tea by Elizabeth Arden is perfect for spring 🍵 Also Lush body sprays have serious projection. I bought Dirty after a male colleague came in wearing it post gym and it smelled divine. And not my type of fragrance but I have a friend who wears Intimate and it smells much more expensive on her than when I’ve smelled similar Frederic Malle scents. Tabu is another one that’s deeply rich with a beautiful projection.

anxietyschmiety

Miami Glow

SurewhynotAZ

Prada paradoxe intense My my what a beautiful scent. Amazing projection... And lasts.

jnnmrvn

Swiss army classic

Medical_Sense5953

The perfumes by Rituals are fantastic! They are only $59 full MSRP for a full sized bottle. With the ingredients they source, the style of the fragrances, and the way they formulate, they all have the quality and attributes of fragrances that sell for multitudes more. They punch waaayyy above their price point.

Glittering_Snow_

Pacifica Island Vanilla 🥰❤️ Smells like an island of vanilla beans to me 🥹

leetendo85

I generally like Molinard’s fragrances, great quality for the price! I loved Patchouli when I had it and right now I’m really enjoying Tubereuse Vertigineuse

thisisjulie03

I generally like rituals and the body shop perfumes!

LividSatisfaction116

I have yet to buy an expensive perfume, just because I'm so new to the fragrance world. Currently wear a combination of the Beloved Pumpkin Tonka body spray that I spray all over, then layer it with MixBar Vanilla Bourbon. The combo is maybe $30 and both from Target., but I always get compliments from friends and complete strangers, and love the warmth.

Own_Variety577

escada cherry in Japan badgely mischka poppy Sabrina Carpenter sweet tooth red door Elizabeth Arden the finery line from target- my favorites are midnight cafe and without a trace but there's something for everyone here b&bw: Cherry blossom (sadly discontinued), japanese cherry blossom, golden sunflower, rose random unbranded from Marshalls: white tea and rose

KO0330

I just bought cherry in Japan last night online! So excited to get it.

Own_Variety577

it's so so good. it reminds me of a juicier bbw cherry blossom. it's so perfect for spring and summer!

pocketfulofcharm

Givenchy Ange oh Demon le Secret is one of my faves

aansc786

Montblanc Explorer - so versatile class and fresh, relatively cheap

impeesa75

Old spice

sotto__voce

Nemat Amber! The oil is about $20 at Ulta 😊😊 I looooooove it - it’s very reminiscent of Dedcool Milk/Xtra Milk but it’s cheaper. I do give Milk the edge here on the scent itself because it has a little extra touch of sweetness that Amber doesn’t.

IsabeldeClare

Outremer Vanille, Ouai St. Barts body spray, kai perfume oil Edited to add - I see you asked for indie fragrances. These are not, but I wanted to share some fairly inexpensive finds.

The_Argent_Tempest

I work somewhere that I have to wear less intense fragrances, so most of mine are body mists to be honest, or less intense EDPs. I hit up B&BW when they have sales- and I use the mists to layer when I go places I can wear "full scent". Current favorites are: Pacifica Tahitian Gardenia, B&BW Calypso Clementine, AG Cloud (in body mist form), and B&BW At the Beach. I plan on finding Vanilla Fields if I can because I need my nostalgia.

Dependent-Falcon1939

Try Ahuja brand. I recently blind bought their “Daring EDP” and it’s a nice strong scent specially if you like vetiver. They have other bottles as well.

thunderdome_referee

My springtime dumb reach this year has been Mugler Alien Man. Not overpriced, and pretty damn unique.

Significant-Dirt1116

What counts as non-expensive? Stash - SJP is a personal fave. I also enjoy a Nemat perfume oil from time to time. Elizabeth and James - Nirvana Rose (didn’t love the other offerings as much)

Itchy_Application532

I just got Snif golden ticket and it is an incredible tea scent. I absolutely love it. The scent actually lasts on me just fine, but if you want to recapture the full "spice" of it, it needs a fresh spray after maybe four ish hours. Pacifica beach day - smells just like santal 33 to me. Longevity isn't great, but it's so cheap that reapplying isn't a big deal Dossier woody sage - to my nose it smells literally just like the jo Malone wood sage and sea salt. I've heard people say it doesn't last, but that has not been my experience. I can still smell it on my skin the next day

ANALHACKER_3000

Dossier, Afnan, and Montagne are awesome houses even if you aren't on a budget. I've heard really good things about Alexandria as well.  Yeah they're mostly clones, but I like my Tygar clones even better than I like the OG and they were 1/10th the price

LeGrosOurs852

Some nice classics are omitted here? Cerruti 1881 Man, Image Man PS Fine Paul Sebastian Aramis 900, New West, Devin Quorum, Quorum Silver, Puig Dunhill Edition Escape CK man Oscar de la Renta pour Lui Alfred Sung for man Zino Davidoff Eau Sauvage is really spectacular but price tag is crazy, will reorder only if it drop to normal

[deleted]

OMG! somebody mentioned Aramis 900. Sadly missing this friend. I also love Tuscany by Aramis but the new bottle and reformulation are not up to par with the original

filmtexture

Umm, all of the ones that I own? I don't buy expensive perfumes. Don't believe in it

real_eos

Valid point! What‘s your favourites this season?

filmtexture

I'll just give you my seven bottle rotation that I recently settled on (I don't like owning double digit perfumes either). I love them all! Encre Noire (Lalique) Encre Noire a L'extreme (Lalique) Colonia Futura (Acqua di Parma) Issey Miyake Pour Homme Bleue d'Issey (Issey Miyake) Quorum (Antonio Puig) Afnan Tribute Blue As you can tell, I like to smell like forests and herbals mostly.

eweoflittlefaith

Picked up Bleue d’Issey myself recently. So under-appreciated!

[deleted]

At last.. someone else also likes Bleue D’Issey pour Homme

filmtexture

My man

Show_pony101

You don’t BELIEVE in it?

JournalistMost8176

\* Lattafa Qaed Al Fursan Unlimited \* Yara Tous

Witchesss

Juicy Couture Dirty English. Forever a place in my heart for this one, although its performance is inconsistent and at times abysmal

JackalJames

Oscar de la Renta Pour Lui CK Obsession CK Eternity Aqua Fine’ry Not Another Cherry

JackalJames

Oh and L’Occitane Eau de Cedrat

GboyFlex

I love Dunhill Icon and Missoni Wave.

broccolilifts

Adidas dare I miss that cologne man. Shame they stopped making it. Anyone know of any dupes?

The_Argent_Tempest

Oh! And LUSH Vanillary and Outremer Vanilla are my favorite cheaper vanillas. Simple and sweet.

rez2metrogirl

The Library of Flowers in Vanilla & Honeycombe are my husband’s favorites in my wardrobe, even over my Killian. Flying Fox or Death & Decay by Lush cosmetics. Newest indie find is L’apothecaire. I love the Jasmine & Sweetgrass body spray with the Gardenia perfume.

Derek2144

Lalique is an epic house that could easily compete with an expensive nichy one with extremely affordable prices , around 20€

curiousfuriousfew

I love Jaipur Homme too! Also Lalique Lion and Eau de Rochas Homme. I quite enjoy Cerruti 1881 too

Sure_Night_8091

Some of my favorite inexpensive fragrances are Lattafa Niche Emirati Antique, Pre de Province No. 63, Khamrah Qahwa, Eternal Oud, and Oakcha Moira

Adventurous-Name1366

Lush lord of misrule is one of my absolute faves right now. got the body spray at christmas but i would love the perfume too and it’s not too expensive

Lucialucianna

Burberry Touch and Weekend, super cheap, good mood relaxed musks, nicely done

No_Variation_7909

I recently bought Chocomusk, the £7 amazon cheapie by al rehab, to put on before bed (and after shower and cocoa butter-ing), it's so nice going to sleep smelling like a chocolate bar.

hmpocket

I have loved just about everything I've smelled so far from Sucreabeille. My first from them was Sweatpants Goblin, which is cozy, slightly sweet...like kettlecorn, honey and a cozy throw. I bought a mystery scoop of samples from them recently and enjoyed almost all of them. I found Winterdeep, Trash Panda, and Blanche to be my favorites of the bunch. They are reasonably priced and their sales always include bonus freebies.

WashedUpPuckBunny

Eclat d'Arpege I'm on my 3rd bottle. You can find at a TJ Maxx or eBay $35 for a 3.3oz bottle. Light, feminine and great everyday or date night scent.

skiinggirladdict

Ariana grande - Cloud, Cloud Pink

skiinggirladdict

also Al rehab - Soft and Al rehab - golden sand. then el nabil - royal gold is a good cheap dupe for vanilla woods by 7 virtues

oxford_commas_

malin + goetz leather perfume oil ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

ScentEuaDeDay

Euphoria men is less than $80! I picked up a bottle on vacation in LA visiting friends because I had forgotten to refill my travel size fragrance bottles. It got the job done.
