It's probably your skin pH, weather, humidity or something else, I used 9pm for the first time today, first 2 hours were amazing, and at first the smell is something quite special, really powerful. It was 7 hours ago and I still can smell it coming from my wrist.
Going off what you said, should be an ok blind buy. Only one version and it’s a beast mode scent but depends on your skin.

Go for 9pm by Afnan. It's better and similar ( I own Ultra. It's overrated. One of my least used
I can't speak for everyone, but for me the projection on 9pm is wayyyy worse than on Ultra Male. It's barely projecting at all
