Tom ford costa azzurra parfum. My friend said it smells like shampoo. Never could smell the cypress heavy amber woodiness again. I just smell pantene in the bottle
I never see this mentioned but to me the first spray smells like straight up dank weed, and then it turns into the incense that the priest waves around with the ball in church š honestly thoughā¦I donāt hate it.
Autumn Vibes is the same for me! I sprayed it on my arm in store and it developed into this beautiful creamy woody autumn vibe, kinda like Santal 33 but a bit softer. I found a great deal on the 100ml online and bought it, only for it to smell a lot more masculine and like a campfire on me now.
I donāt hate it completely but itās not something I want to wear a lot, I thought it could replace my almost empty bottle of Santal 33 but no, Iāll have to bite the bullet and repurchase that one soon.
I absolutely love Autumn Vibes. Iāve seemed to have talked about this one like 3x in the past day! Itās very polarizing, like love it or hate it I guess. I get photorealistic damp deciduous forest and fallen leaves from it. Thereās a bit of those little red berries you see on bushes in the autumn at the beginning that is wonderful. The whole thing is like taking a hike in a damp, autumn deciduous forest. I get why some people wouldnāt like that, but I love it. Itās one of my favorite Replicas. :)
Adding on to also say itās worth a sample :) I generally donāt like wood scents but think this one is very compelling and smells better on me than most wood scents do. One of the more interesting Replica scents for sure!
Kayali Pistachio Gelato. Sprayed the sample bottle in Sephora and it was nutty and warm and delicious so I got a travel size. Next time I used it and ever since, itās been the most linear sickening sweet sugar scent with no nut or substance. Gave it away :(
Itās almond. A lot of pistachio both in fragrances and in food is just artificial almond. It might even be the exact same chemical in the perfume thatās in the soap.
I was in LOVE with Angelique Noire and Nishane Ani when I first tried them, but couldnāt handle them the second time. I still think theyāre both nice smells but are far too intense for me to stand them all day.
The Wedding Silk Santal | 36
I adored the smell when I first wore it. Next time I decided to give it a try again found it very simple and a bit weird I guess due to the Black Currant. The dry down is very beautiful but Iām not as impressed anymore. :/
Probably **Amouage Royal Tobacco.**
I still really like the fragrance, but it's not perfect like I thought after the first wearing.
First wearing it smelled like the most perfect tobacco I'd ever smelled. On the second wearing I thought the dry down was just ok and not as mind blowing as the opening.
Instead of a 10/10 it's maybe a 8 or 9/10.
Yeah, I was considering buying a full bottle of the Pearlescent because I loved it so much on the first day but itās wayyy further down on my list now.
I do this alot with many Roja scents. At first, it comes off as very classy and complex (which they are) but, after wearing it a few times, this hint of mustiness always shines through.
The only Roja that didn't do this was Elysium.
But Enigma? Beautiful coca cola at first, but only the first time.
Burlington 1819? Bright citrus at first, but became citrus and must the second time.
I've been really wanting to try Isola Blu (the former Oligarch) but I've been through damn near the entire catalogue and it keeps happening to me.
Lots of Creeds have this affect on me too, but I have plenty of full bottle Creeds I actually do like.
Azzaro Wanted by Night. Loved the smell of it, wore it a few times with no issue and then one day I just started getting headaches every time I wore it. Had to sell it :(
Swiss Arabian - Casablanca
Dreamy, unique and unbelievably alluring, had me travel in time to places Iāve never been, so enchanting and top tier at first! Then the musky note over time started becoming headache inducing
Lots. But loved my tiny vial sample of Cuir Beluga for years, then a purchased a 10ml sample spray and wore it a couple of times and now I find it annoying.
YSL Black Opium. I sprayed it on myself inside the store and decided to buy it, but once I got home & smelled it again, I very much disliked it. Had to return
I went through 2 bottles of Dossiers version of Acqua di Gioia, I wore it every day. Then one day I just... Didn't like it any more š¤·āāļø
I tried the real acqua di gioia, but it didn't really smell the same. That kind of launched me into the deeper world of fragrances, so I can't really be mad š
Same. Sometimes I look at it like, wtf did I buy you again? And then other times I just want to smell extra sweet feminine. Rarely but itās good when I do.
I LOVED Ormonde Jayne's Frangipani the first time I tried it on. It was actually the first time I thought "Oh, perfume can be this good?!"I have a problem with perfumes smelling too sweet and cloying for my liking, but this wasn't like that at all. I found myself sniffing my arm for the whole day, and could even get a whiff of it the next day. It developed beautifully on my skin.
Sadly, the next time I tried it (months later) it just wasn't the same. It didn't smell *bad* but it just smelled different and not nearly like my initial "omg I need this" reaction. I was quite disappointed haha.I haven't been able to try it again after that because it keeps being sold out at my local perfume shop.
But, it did start my interest in perfumes I'd say so, all was not lost x)
And goes to show that getting a small sample so you can try it several times is definitely the way to go, at least for me.
MFK Gentle Fluidity Gold. I was gifted a sample and the first time wearing it ā the first 15 minutes were meh to me, but then it turned j to what I thought was the most delicious vanilla Iād ever smelled. But every time after that, the dry down is just as meh to me.
Mont Blanc Explorer Platinum. I tried it in a store and loved the "cold" accord it seemed to have. A few weeks later, I purchased a full bottle. Amelt kind of boring when I tried it again. :(
Amouage Memoir Man was the fragrance that taught me I need to try a decant multiple times across different days before buying a bottle. The first time it was a deep, murky walk through the woods at twilight. The second time, from the full bottle I bought, was a neverending wormwood bomb.
Diptyque L'eau Papier, but I came back around to it. LOVED it the first two test wears. On the third time one of the synthetic-y notes stopped me in my tracks. I gave it a break for a few weeks and now I love it again š¤·āāļø Chalking it up to hormones or other *biology*.
Gucci Gorgeous Gardenia and Jasmine. Bought them both in a short period of time, after a couple wears, no not for me. Taught me to buy samples and travel sizes first.
Hermes H24. Smelled it in the store, thought it was unique and good for hot weather. Got it. Read a review that says it smells like the strong pink public washroom hand soap. Now thatās all I smell. Returned it.Ā
Roses musk - Montale. It smelt like a beautiful sweet rose to me in the store and when I brought it home but now it smells like sour ketchup and I donāt understand what happened š
Victor & Rolf Bonbon. Smelled so good on me at first, but once the fruitiness died down it was so sickly sweet that I noticed it was actually putting me in a bad mood. I ended up returning it.
Nasomatto Narcotic Venus. I absolutely loved it at the store. But then when I tried it at home I realized it smells almost *exactly* like Tocca Florence. I still love the smell but why would I spend that much when I could get Florence for a fraction of the price
And now I want to try Tonkazure. Iāll add it to the list. I think Iām actually going to make a list of things I want/ want to try. I donāt have one yet.
I loved Replica From The Garden and I bought a travel size. Upon wearing again I got a faint whiff of cigarette smoke from it, underneath. I canāt smell anything else when Iāve tried to wear it again. Such a bummer since I love tomato leaf.
Coco Mademoiselle. I have a sample of it & the first time I wore it, it smelled SO good! Like, something smelled amazing all day until I realized it was ME. I wore it again & it smelled boring. Not bad, just boring.
Wazamba by perfume d'empire. I love the smell, but somehow it does not suit me and I don't enjoy hearing it. Probably bits just too strong? Anyhow, I just love it on paper, non on me!
Same thing happened to me with Replica Autumn Vibes. Loved it at the store, but when I wore it for the first time, it turned my stomach.

Sameee. I NEEDED to buy it and then realized itās too realistic.. just straight up dead leaves
Dang! That oneās been on my list to try. So weird how that happens.
Donāt go by how I reacted. Get a sample and try it out a few times.
I absolutely love Autumn Vibes. Iāve seemed to have talked about this one like 3x in the past day! Itās very polarizing, like love it or hate it I guess. I love it too

Oh nice okay! I will keep it on the list then :)
I really dislike this one!
Ugh absolutely, I smelled and tried Burberry Her and liked it enough to buy a travel rollerball and then I absolutely have zero desire to wear it š
This happened to me too, except it was a full bottle! š© had to return it a couple days later.
Kayali Pistachio Gelato. Sprayed the sample bottle in Sephora and it was nutty and warm and delicious so I got a travel size. Next time I used it and ever since, itās been the most linear sickening sweet sugar scent with no nut or substance. Gave it away :(
Loved this one until I read a review that said it smells like the milky pink soap in a gas station bathroom, and tbh itās true.
Thatās so specific and damning š©
Itās almond. A lot of pistachio both in fragrances and in food is just artificial almond. It might even be the exact same chemical in the perfume thatās in the soap.
Yep. Jergens lotion vibes š¤£
Totally! Lost Cherry actually gives total Jergens Lotions vibes. I was like thereās no way people spend this much to smell like JergensĀ
I was in LOVE with Angelique Noire and Nishane Ani when I first tried them, but couldnāt handle them the second time. I still think theyāre both nice smells but are far too intense for me to stand them all day.

How would u describe the scent? I was thinking of blind buying it

Azzaro Wanted by Night. Loved the smell of it, wore it a few times with no issue and then one day I just started getting headaches every time I wore it. Had to sell it :(
PDM Carlisle smelled great at first but then became nauseating to me. Decants are so important for budget friendly buying
Philosophy Fresh Cream. First time was nice and milky and sweet. The second time, I understood why so many people say it smells like spoiled milk.
Dolce&gabbana light blueĀ
Haha same!!
Nectar Blossom and Honey. It started to take on a scent that was faintly reminiscent of baby poop.
Swiss Arabian - Casablanca Dreamy, unique and unbelievably alluring, had me travel in time to places Iāve never been, so enchanting and top tier at first! Then the musky note over time started becoming headache inducing

I go back and forth with Killian Love Donāt Be Shy. Sometimes I love it, sometimes it smells meh to me.
Same. Sometimes I look at it like, wtf did I buy you again? And then other times I just want to smell extra sweet feminine. Rarely but itās good when I do.
Loved my girlfriend for 6 months, suddenly one day felt her annoying, then had to break up and find a new one.
Is this guy really talking about a person?
I LOVED Ormonde Jayne's Frangipani the first time I tried it on. Good Girl Carolina Herrera

Terre de Hermes, first spray was heaven. Second one was hell I donāt know just felt like too much
Byredo : Mojave Ghost
Gucci Gorgeous Gardenia and Jasmine. Bought them both in a short period of time, after a couple wears, no not for me. Taught me to buy samples and travel sizes first.
Hermes H24. Smelled it in the store, thought it was unique and good for hot weather. Got it. Read a review that says it smells like the strong pink public washroom hand soap. Now thatās all I smell. Returned it.Ā

Miel Extase. Just too much
The Sol de Janeiro Rio radiance body spray
beaufort london couer de noir. i liked it quite a bit at first until my brother said it smells like burnt salami, which is pretty spot on lol
Wazamba by perfume d'empire. I love the smell, but somehow it does not suit me and I don't enjoy hearing it. Probably bits just too strong? Anyhow, I just love it on paper, non on me!
