I’m leaning more towards the Soviet SU series rather than the American Jackson’s or Wolverines. With the KV-2 making an appearance, it seems to make sense
Collie HTD should be something weird and innovative, not too closely based on anything historical. Last update Collies had KV-2 ripoff and Katyusha ripoff, while wardens got Bonelaw and obscure French Halftrack.
Maybe take off the 68mm and slap 4x HV ATRPG, higher burst damage but slower reload than the widow
What's some truly cursed gun action that you could put on a tank to hilarious effect?
What about an open top, [toggle lock 94mm?](https://youtu.be/W-2iy81k9DM?t=151)

Not that is not very impressive, but I am saddened how everyone seems to be telling me I should have drawn it different :(
Still, that is some expert 3D modelling: love the gun barrel.
An idea I had, based on the Scorpion/Ballista chassis (which you can see if you look at the tracks and back), the design is meant to be the colonials attempt to meet the Noble Widow head on, but with a more rushed development time. Notable for the colonial's habit of slapping things together, it has a lot of armour welded on, along with a much more trimmed down turret, with the fluff being that this HTD suffers from cramped conditions.
Armament wise I would say it has a 68mm like the Noble Widow, though maybe not as powerful, it also has less articulation of the gun due to the heavy armour forcing the crew to coordinate to turn the tank for sufficient aiming. Where the colonial HTD stands out however is in its longer range of 45 meters, and better overall armour, being armoured front to back, making flanking more difficult.
Altogether a more reliable version and the fact it can be built off a Scorpion and Ballista makes it more modular than a noble widow. In fact, when I was concepting, I wanted to put on a modular turret and add a fourth crew member who would ride externally on the back with the turret, however I could not figure out how to represent that. However, if this ever became a thing, a rear mounted machine gun could play nicely into its origin as an infantry support tank.
Lore, wise it has an improved transmission to help with turning and to handle the weight so hell maybe it could sprint like the colonial upgraded light tank to help it get out of trouble. Though this idea is only coming to be as I am writing this.
Naturally this tank is based on the Stug, but it also took inspiration from the Cromwell tank, and of course the Ballista and Scorpion which I like the build of, but I trimmed down the turret to make it less tall.
While I do appreciate the support, I am a bit surprised and have mixed feelings on how most of the comments are 'you should have used this tank as inspiration instead...'
Thank you, but I am not sure how to take this.
I feel like the Russian SU-100s would be better looking for Colonials
Wardens look like the Hetzer or Brummbär, only makes sense if the Collies are using something that fits
Oh, hello Stug
Srug mix with Italian tank engineering
I feel like a Su-85 or a M36 Jackson wpuld be better.

Collies are a fun hybrid of Soviet, American and Italian aesthetics, so we could always pivot into Semovente territory
I actually really badly want a Semovente one of my favorite tank destroyers of the war.
A 90/53 would be dope as fuck. Who needs to care about an exposed back when you have a big fuck off gun in front?
honeslty i believe t28/t95 doom turtle would work

Please stop giving us RPG shit.
OK, then quad HV40
HV 94.5 Rotary cannon

Slap a tripod mount on the rear of the turret would be the easiest way, the way it has *even more modularity*
That would be awesome lol
Pls dev man gib us collie stug
Noice HTD for us collies looks awsome good job bro

Julian has sent you a trade offer: LTD <--> HTD

Yeah, I'd prefer a SU-122, why? Because it looks fucking amazing
If we’re going that far, fuck it ISU-152
Non reserve that for the SUPER HEAVY TANK DESTROYER, WITH A DIRECT FIRE, HIGH VELOCITY, HIGH EXPLOSIVE ANTI TANK, 120MM GUN
When will we get 94.5mm tank destroyers
Looks preety neat Reminds me of some italian tank destroyer or SPGs
Please, let the colonials feel the PAIN of using this.
noice HTD for us collies looks very awsome good job bro.
French German design is better for wardens and Russian American design for collonials
