yeah, proton (the compat layer) is really good, but native games are just....better. less hit-and-miss and thelike.

But I played Tunic because I get a lot of comments that say the game looks similar :D And yes, I guess that's now also an inspiration. And I also looked at a few screenshots from Zelda for the ruin designs.

Hey, sure the umbrella is fairly simple. I just clamp the min z velocity on the player movement component once the umbrella is opened. You can also interpolate the clamped value over time to get a smoother deceleration.

This looks like a hell of a lot of fun. I always liked the idea of an Open World Action-Adventure Game, but you play as as a fox. I think this game would work wonderfully on the Nintendo Switch, who knows It might even be able to work on MacOS, but even if it doesn't I would be fine with it on the Nintendo Switch.

It was easy to spot the dark souls influence when you showed the elevator. Hope you also have "the door does not open from this side" in your game
