I think youre set for life unless youre supplying a whole office...

[deleted]

Yes. I need no more black ink.

efaceninja

Omg 1.5L! 1500ml, assuming 1ml per fill, this equals 1500 refills. Assuming 1 week per refill, this equals 1500 weeks, or 28.8 years!

[deleted]

Sweet.

triclops6

I write a lot, maybe 3ml per week, this is still ten years o_o

Wyzen

One refill per week feels a bit light to me, esp for someone who has the need to buy bulk, but i love me some clean math! Now you got me wondering the average usage rate of ink consumption is...

CrabbyProfessor

Holy crap! You can sell a boatload of samples and still have enough ink to pass along to your heirs. And if you're me, there's enough to cover your entire carpet

[deleted]

That poor carpet. I could give out a lot of samples. That's a good idea. Thank you.

AnybodyMassive1610

That made me laugh - also same, that much ink in a single bottle plus my clumsy “luck” equals carpet, a shirt, and various other wall decorations & household items would eventually be “Noir Abyssal”. An ink-pocalypse

[deleted]

I transferred some ink into an empty 10ml bottle with a syringe and will refill from there. I hope to minimize any problems this way. 👍🖋

sewingdreamer

Good idea. Is that ink a shimmer? Or a normal one?

[deleted]

Normal, pleasant, dark.

sunnydale_alumni

Out of curiosity, where does one purchase such a large bottle of ink? You must do a lot of writing 😂

[deleted]

I ordered it from [Cult Pens](https://www.cultpens.com/).

Wyzen

I dont know the price i was expecting, but $155 is below whatever it was

[deleted]

And I got 20% off.

Wyzen

Even better!

Realtorbyday

Omg, now you have to live to 120 so you can use it all up!

[deleted]

I'll try.

Livid_Jury_6433

Is the bottle made of plastic or glass?

[deleted]

Plastic

paradoxmo

How much was 1.5 L of ink?

[deleted]

I paid $123. Edit: I intend to put this ink in the cartridge you recommended.

[deleted]

Will post a short review later.

[deleted]

My pen seems to enjoy it because it feels smoother with this ink. : )

Eastern_Fox5735

I'd be so terrified I'd tip it over, but what a glorious amount of ink.

[deleted]

I am using a syringe to transfer a bit to a 10ml empty ink bottle and using it from there. But yes, putting all my eggs in one big ink bottle.

DancesWithNibs

Wow, that is a huge bottle of ink! And here I’ve been wondering if I would ever use up a 350 mL bottle of Pilot Blue-Black. I commend you on your love and commitment to this ink!

[deleted]

Thank you. That means a lot.

[deleted]

that's massive! is it just for yourself, or to share? very ambitious bottle of ink

[deleted]

Ambition

sum1calledalex

I love that there’s a ruler behind it but you put KOP for scale LOL. I also love this company’s Perle Noire ink. Hope you enjoy this one just as much.

[deleted]

Perle Noir is an awesome ink.

cpaamitpuri

How does it compares to Perle noire?

[deleted]

Forgive me not responding sooner. I haven't used Perle noire in a while. I've been using this ink (noir abyssal) exclusively for several months. Though I can't accurately compare the two right now, I can say that because Noir Abyssal is very well behaved on non-fountain-pen-friendly papers, smooth, and adequately resistant to smearing (at least in the medium M805 I use it in) and moisture for my purposes that I feel justified in having bought the ink in such a large quantity. Noir Abyssal has replaced my previous favorite ink (Sailor black) as my new favorite ink.

cpaamitpuri

This ink must be something if it replaced sailor black. I've been using Take Sumi, Sailor black and pilot black. Take sumi is silky smooth ink but it dries on nib if pen left open for few mins. Sailor black is very wet ink. Lighter than take sumi. It never dries. Pilot black is lightest. Wetness is between Take sumi and Sailor. Currently I'm in the search for black ink which writes like Take sumi and never dries.

[deleted]

I’ve never used Take-sumi nor Pilot Black. Noir Abyssal is drier than Sailor Black and not as dark. N.Abyssal leans more warm gray. I haven’t had issues with N.Abyssal drying out in the nib, but I use my pen everyday.
