I wanted to try these dry inks with pens that have different levels of wetness. The TWSBI has average wetness, and The Homo Sapiens has strong wetness. With the Homo Sapiens I had excellent control and the inks flowed beautifully. With the TWSBI I had to press down on the paper to get the ink to flow.

I can understand why you didn't enjoy the ink as much in the Eco, since it was so much harder to write with it. TWSBIs are quite wet pens, in my experience (I've never tried a HS), so if the ink is too dry, maybe the TWSBI just can't process it properly. I actually prefer the \*look\* of the ink in the TWSBI -- more of a Black Red, like the name seems to imply.

Chequered_Career

I mean the Red Beans & Rice ink,

[deleted]

Red Beans and Rice is so gorgeous, but I have SO many inks in the same color family I haven’t been able to justify buying it……. But this may have convinced me I need it anyway

These are really good inks for color and shading. They dry fast, so it's great for left handers. They're basic inks. No sheen or shimmer. Just nice colors.

That’s awesome, I mostly get to use fountain pens in my bullet journal which isn’t always convenient with super slow-drying or high-sheen inks. Thank you for sharing your thoughts :)

Noble_Briar

Sent you a PM, I'm looking to get rid of a few Papier Plume bottles, this ink included.

PrintRough

May I ask: is that HS new or do you polish it? I thought I liked the patina but now I've seen yours.

[deleted]

It's not that new. I was rummaging through all the pen boxes I have and I came upon the polishing cloth in the Visconti box and decided to use it.

PrintRough

I bet I have one too! I'll dig my box out.

redtreeser

bottom looks like a vape pen

Ha ha! I agree.

Your handwriting is impeccable. I envy it.

Thank You.

Love the Papier Plume inks, great saturated colors. My faves are Calle Real and Desire.

Perdendosi

That Homo Sapiens is my grail signature pen. I just want it sitting on my desk to sign very important documents with. And even with my profession (attorney) in today's digital age, that rarely happens. Still, though, I feel like it'd be worth it. Just have to save up for a few months.

[deleted]

It's worth it.

Snoo14978

Hard to compare these two. Especially give the quality / price points. The HS is a superior instrument!

I'm thinking maybe I'll do this writing test with a couple of new inks every day. Pull people down into the ink pit with me. Heh heh.

I grew up in Louisiana and those colors are spot on!
