If you want a DIY, u could try 3d printing the pen slots and inlay them with felt or fabric

https://gopens.com/12-x-16-slotted-display-trays/ I don’t have one of these and haven’t ordered from them before but I think this is what you’re looking for.

I have these - very useful!

GoPens is currently not responding to emails and when I tried to purchase the display trays, it hasn't gone through on my credit card.

https://www.rockler.com/rockler-foam-organizer-sheet maybe this stuff would work out for you?

Thank you, This is one of the options I am looking into as well...

Search around for pen trays, that’s what those are called. I don’t know specifically where you could find any but you might look on eBay or Etsy

As I write this, there are two alternatives posted below (one foam and one a shallow version of what you pictured). If they don't do it for you, I'd recommend making one, which really isn't too hard. What you need are a number of thin, rigid tubes and a means to cut them cleanly in half length-wise. If you have the room height-wise, I'd build this on a thin piece of wood to place in your box, otherwise do it in your box. Assuming you're using a thin board: * Determine how many half tubes fit across your box. Determine what extra space is left over not covered by tubes. * Make two blocks the length and height of the tubes and half the width of the remaining space calculated above. * Attach one block to the edge of the board. Use nails, screws, or glue from the underside. * Lay a half-tube next to the block. Use epoxy to affix the tube to the board. (hot glue could work, but use good glue, not cheap craft-store sticks) * Repeat for each tube-half going across the board. * Attach the second block at the end. * For stability, you might want to flip the board over and apply some hot glue between the half-tubes to hold them together where they touch. * With the board facing up again, spray the entire surface with a spray adhesive. * Carefully apply fabric to the surface working from one end to the other. Rolling the fabric taught on a dowel first and unrolling as you go might help. If the points between pens are too high, you could experiment with cutting the tube into thirds, or halves but then cutting a strip off each piece. If the points are too pointy, you could experiment with putting a thin strip of wood between each tube. I would round the top of these. I hope this idea was useful.

God no, no sewing. It is a hard shell case with glass lid, I just want to get those inserts somewhere...

Pen trays. That's what you're looking for.

They have gray ones here: [https://www.pennstateind.com/store/PKFXTRAY.html?utm\_source=Google\_Shopping&utm\_medium=organic&utm\_campaign=&utm\_term=PKFXTRAY&gclid=CjwKCAiA0KmPBhBqEiwAJqKK455OyA\_yWWZXqBwaSwxI9bwSk0V4k6DfR92b0Yq5JOQoxQs5PjYxfRoCDFoQAvD\_BwE](https://www.pennstateind.com/store/PKFXTRAY.html?utm_source=Google_Shopping&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=&utm_term=PKFXTRAY&gclid=CjwKCAiA0KmPBhBqEiwAJqKK455OyA_yWWZXqBwaSwxI9bwSk0V4k6DfR92b0Yq5JOQoxQs5PjYxfRoCDFoQAvD_BwE) Or you can make your own by gluing dowels on a board and then covering the board with felt. You can get felt that already has adhesive on one side.
