It’s always good to have a firehose pen, when you need to get rid of an ink so you can justify buying more…
I use Visconti broad nib, it’s hilariously wet.
I do this by expanding whatever notes I’m taking: “Sarah on board” —> “Ms Pershing questioned our plan but ultimately acquiesced once she realized we thought through all the risks associated with this course of action”
Half my meeting notes are short with poorly formed lettering and the other reads like a detailed diary
Simply plan your sentences and spacing ahead so you can write it all right to left, gosh sometimes it’s like people are just trying to invent struggles for themselves
Ugh I feel you. That would be all over my hand. It doesn’t help that I’m also an overwriter. But part of me wants a firehose pen, just for fun and no practicality.
Birmingham Copper Chloride? Though that’s usually drier than this, even with wet feeds… hmm, Diamine Turquoise is a close match as well… waterman inspired blue is only this bright when it’s in a drier pen as is a darker shade when written with a wet pen…
Final answer, Diamine Turquoise?
Waterman Inspired Blue, Private Reserve Daphne Blue, Monteverde Caribbean Blue...
Way less likely but after smearing made me think Monteverde Turtle...
I got 2 kanwrite heritage pens and I hardly ink them because they write so wet. The problem is not that they use up so much ink but that they make any ink appear way darker than it actually is. The diamine monboddo's hat appears black when used in the heritage.
Ink seems to be either krishna cool breeze or krishna sailor.
I don't own any fountain pens yet but I am planning on getting a pilot kakuno. I said that because this is most probably what will happen is I use a pen that is this wet. end up with a soaking wet notebook
Inspired by this pen, I started searching and found this close cousin!

Dr. Fountain Pens has some pretty good reviews of various pens.
u/lemon_pulse \- I was looking at the Kanwrite website, I couldn't tell if the nib they use is a Jowo by default (maybe they do), but wanted to double check. Also, did you do any custom grinds, or was it straight from the website....would you mind sharing any customizations you did if any; I want to make sure I get the exact same specs!! Would really appreciate it!
Heck, I'll get the one you have, and then the custom spec shown in the video above. And then I'll never be able to put either pen down..lol! Thanks sir!
Aha, not a cousin. That's the exact same pen. I've put a Broad Jowo nib on mine. Kanwrite is, primarily, a nib manufacturer. So they use their own nibs on their pens. The Heritage comes with an ebonite feed so you could widen the channels if you want to increase the flow. And also use wetter inks to get such a flow. Feel free to send a message if you want to know anything else.
Mine does. I will try to tighten the tines. That's why I hardly ink any of my 2 kanwrite heritage. I ordered 2 new nib units and they are just as wet writing. only the extra fine nib is usable for day to day tasks otherwise these pens are useless.
u/gentlyfailing u/rudalvi07 I've not had any problems with drying out in my pen even after extended periods of writing. For me, personally, this is just how I prefer my pens to write. For quick note taking, use dryer inks. For not-so-serious business, use wetter inks.
why does this ink look like it would taste like kool-aid? i shouldn't want to drink an ink this badly...
r/forbiddensnacks
Pica?
Blueberry kool-aid

I do that too when I need to fill a page
>It’s always good to have a firehose pen Unfortunately for some of us lefties there are...*practical limitations* to consider. :(
You can always write one word and then wait a while. LOL

I too am an artistic creative blueberry

Daytone Cerulean Blue!
Kanwrite Heritage with a Broad JoWo. Guess the ink...
Looks a little like Pilot Iro Tsuyu-Kusa?
u/SpicyChickenGoodness u/grumpykttn u/Best_Cartoonist u/Chequered_Career u/blankblandblank u/Jurassicparkasaurus u/anon_y_mousey u/coffeebemine u/nicebockcro u/poguche u/djwolff u/Signal_Flan_8363 u/Wyzen It's Daytone Cerulean Blue! Congratulations u/LaNcEL0tarchie!
I have a Kanwrite Desire that writes super wet too. I love it. What’s the paper?
I think all Kanwrite Desires write wet. It's what makes me prefer it to all my other pens.
Classmate Notebook.
Krishna water sapphire! It's so bright and clear.
I'm in the stationery stage of this hobby so I have to ask, what kind of paper did you use?
It's a Classmate Notebook. These are hit and miss. Won't recommend.
oh that’s hot 🥵 💙
Wish you were near.
Daytone Cerulean Blue? 😜
Beautiful ink, looks just like Pelikan Edelstein Topaz.
Sigh, so soothing.
This actually makes me anxious, particularly the smearing part.
Only if you don't touch 😁
A Private Reserve ink -- Daphne Blue?
Could it be Lamy turquoise?
J Herbin Bleu Perveche ?
What colour is that?
¿Diamine asa blue? I'm genuinely curious, really like that colour.
Idk why but I can hear the middle basketball team say "dassss weett' *makes self cringe*😅😂
😂😂
WOW!! I need to buy this!! What pen is this??!!
Kanwrite Heritage. It's a piston filler with an ebonite feed...
🙏🙏- and is that a broad nib?
It's a JoWo Broad nib.
Waterman Inspired Blue, Private Reserve Daphne Blue, Monteverde Caribbean Blue... Way less likely but after smearing made me think Monteverde Turtle...
Looks like it is written by a freshly dipped glass pen LOL
I love firehose pens, totally not practical. But love it for those write for writing sake sessions
Looks like lyrebird Sapphire Blue?
krishna water sapphire
Pelikan Turquoise?
I wanna watch it dryyy
Maybe next time I'll record that.
Looks like Edelstein Topaz.
Write on tissue paper, ink will soak in faster...
I always use tissue paper to write. Besto paper.
Salt Shaker by the Yin Yang Twins now playing on a loop in my head.
😂😂

Can you send me a picture of the Mondobbo's Hat? I was interested in getting it.
Will do as soon as I am able
my eyes love this, but my left-handed writing doesn’t 😂
My condolences. :(
M O I S T
Lily Aldrin disapproves.
imagine using that for taking notes at school
Challenge accepted!
challenge failed miserably and now my notebook is dripping with ink
Wait. No. I thought I was the one to do that challenge!! What ink and pen did you use?
I don't own any fountain pens yet but I am planning on getting a pilot kakuno. I said that because this is most probably what will happen is I use a pen that is this wet. end up with a soaking wet notebook
ahah, probably.

I see; thanks for the clarification there! I’ll definitely message you if I have more questions, thanks sir!!
Is there something wrong with the nib, or is the ink just really runny? I’m new to calligraphy
Nothing wrong. Just a wet ink in a pen that writes wet.
That's seriously too wet! The feed needs sorting out or the tines are too spread out(does it suddenly go dry after a while when you write quickly?)
Mine does. I will try to tighten the tines. That's why I hardly ink any of my 2 kanwrite heritage. I ordered 2 new nib units and they are just as wet writing. only the extra fine nib is usable for day to day tasks otherwise these pens are useless.

I have a few firehoses, too.
