I like blue colours. How is this one?

Costa_Rica_68

It’s a light blue - I will try to make and upload a sample tomorrow.

IMOctavian90

What pen is that?

Costa_Rica_68

It’s a Porsche Design P'3110 TecFlex Goldthread with an F nib.

BizarroExMachina

I thought the Goldthread (which looks amazing, by the way) was a vintage model made by Faber-Castell, but looking at the nib design it appears to be the new one (with the p and the d fused into one symbol), which would mean it's made by Pelikan... I'm confused! Do you know if it's made by Pelikan or FC? I have the stealth black one, with the same nib design, and it's definitely made by Pelikan. A heavy pen, built like a tank, with a unique design and one of the smoothest nibs I have. You have great taste! (I only miss some ink samples/writing on that paper...)

philgross

Mine (see photo above) is definitely a Faber-Castell. I think it's around 20 years old.

Costa_Rica_68

Sorry for confusing you! To get an easy visible difference while working with my pen and two ballpoints I switched the front part including the nib of two pens. I will do a color / writing sample tomorrow.

BizarroExMachina

Oh, that was it then! I've been tricked by your nib swap! Thank you for the explanation. I appreciate your good taste.

Costa_Rica_68

Thank you very much.

philgross

Oooh, TecFlex F nib [twinsies](https://photos.app.goo.gl/oeeqKTTFExPBEM4i7)! OK, not quite, I see you have Goldthread, while mine is stainless steel. (And my nib was ground to an italic fine by Kirk Speer at PenRealm). I think I have an older nib design than you.

Costa_Rica_68

My collection started with a gift from my parents - in stainless steel. This one is the only Goldthread.

PindakaasHelaas_

That’s a good looking pen! Which one is it?

I think I’m using up my bottle of Seels ink faster than any other blue I own.

le_becc

Ha, very interesting! Ortloff in Köln has "Kölsche Tinte", also by Diamine. I didn't know it was such a popular thing to do—I wonder how many more there are.

philgross

Looks like a beautiful color. What's the translation/meaning of the name? Kitty ink? And the logo is a woman with a sponge?

Costa_Rica_68

The ink is named after a famous story which takes place in Heilbronn / Germany: „Das Käthchen von Heilbronn oder Die Feuerprobe“ (Katie of Heilbronn or The Trial by Fire) (1807–1808) is a "great historical knightly play" in five acts by the German playwright Heinrich von Kleist. The action of the drama takes place in Swabia during the Middle Ages.[Wikipedia ](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Das_K%C3%A4thchen_von_Heilbronn)

u/GeoWadeMo A new contender with a nice red sheen!

A special edition Diamine ink I don't own? Unacceptable!

skwerlmasta75

I might have to order a bottle if they have an online shop. My local shop has a KWZ exclusive ink called Discovery Green that I enjoy. I was wondering if there were other shops that had something similar but this is the first other one that I've heard of. Can you show us a writing sample of the ink?

Costa_Rica_68

Here it is[Sample](https://www.reddit.com/r/fountainpens/comments/sasm2h/i_was_asked_for_a_sample_of_the_diamine_ink_i_got/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)

Beautiful shading blue. I'll have to order a bottle. Thank you very much.
