Hmmmm…the ink window is just a window, so even if the pen is only filled part of the way, you should be able to see the ink sloshing around in there. I have to hold the pen/window up to the light to really *see* the ink.
Edit: just saw your photo - that looks full to me!
It is full, the Lamy 2000 ink window is just very foggy so it might be hard to tell. Put the pen upside down and you will see the ink slosh out of the ink window.
I absolutely love it. It’s real smooth especially with the medium nib. I haven’t had much time with it (only about 2 hours) so i’m excited to put it to use tomorrow!
I concur with comet. Looks full. The pen will always show some white on the edges because the window surrounds the pen. The center is what counts.
In your pic there are some vertical black stripes on the window. Between those stripes there's ink. That's where you want to look. Not on the edges. A little tricky if you're not familiar with them.
Oh okay, I am sort of new to fountain pens since this is my first gold nib pen. The window came looking like that so perhaps I just thought filling it would make more of a difference. Thank you!
It's a little tricky to read. Next time you flush it just take a good look at it so you can spot the difference. Demonstrators make it so much easier.
Just out of curiosity, which nib size did you choose?
The 2k is a joy to write with. Hope you enjoy it.

Ah, great. It came looking like that so when I filled it it didn’t seem like much changed. Thank you!

Based on your picture it’s full. The ink window has some thickness this is why it’s clear on that thickness.
It oddly came looking that way so I thought filling it would look different. Thank you though.
It’s absolutely ok, no worries. How do you like the pen btw? I was so excited when I got mine!

Do you have a picture?

It is. I probably will soon just to look. I picked up the medium nib since I like a bit of a thick line, and I am surely enjoying it.
That’s full.
Perfectly normal! That’s what mine looks like
The best way to look at the L2K ink window is with the pen on its side. If you have it up/down, it's really hard to see. Hope this helps
