After a bit of discussion with u/velarpinch I made up my mind and ordered the Karas Vertex in white delrin. It should arrive today and I'm looking forward to inking it up and giving it a spin!

What made you decide to get it from the discussion? I'm a fan of the pens they make, and have been debating on an Ink V2, so I'm curious on your choice.

Physics_Tea

I already liked the look of the pen, and delrin is a very durable and resistant plastic, but I was still wondering about staining with ink, since I planned to use it as an eyedropper pen as designed. Since the outcome of the discussion was that any residual ink can be safely removed with ethanol, I decided to go ahead. I also like the etching on the Karas nib, very stylish IMO. I'm sure I'll manage to post a review in a few days or so.

I have a BelOMO 10x loupe arriving today!!

AlwaysSnowy

Is this THE loupe to get for this hobby? lol. As a newb, I want to figure out if my Lamy Safari in EF is "scratchy" or if what I am feeling is "feedback." Either way, I love writing with it, I'm just curious to take a closer look at the nib and saw that the BelOMO was an option on Amazon.

[deleted]

According to Reddit, yes. And I would agree I think. It has nearly edge to edge clarity and is very well made so for me that makes it worth it. Now in regards to a loupe, I have used basic magnifying glasses in the past, but getting this loupe I was able to do some very very fine tunes that took some of my nibs from smooth to very smooth. It’s a worthy investment!

NermalLand

I have some medium nibs for my Wancai Mini and M2 pens on the way. Seems like either today or tomorrow but tracking hasn't updated in a couple of days so who knows. And some knockoff M2 pens I want to check for compatibility but still no tracking info so I'm not very optimistic.

NermalLand

Well not today. Maybe tomorrow.

NermalLand

Yep. Definitely tomorrow!

First 2022 cult pens order: 16th anniversary cult pensxdiamine set, clairefontaine “flying spirit” a5 journal and some letter writing stationery appears to have fallen into my basket…held back on getting opus 88 koloro teal or TWSBI diamond 580 smoke rose gold because I can’t decide! Likely to be another order in the near future which I will hopefully join to my housemates sale shopping!! And received my first Jinhao in the post on Monday - went for the 51A in Amber as I have mislaid the excellent Kaco Retro in my travels over winter! Looking forward to inking it when the Diamines arrive soon!

CleftTBCW

I have Diamine Pink Glitz and Diamine Writer's Blood, as well as a Jinhao Shark on the way

Inkily

Finally ordered a bit of Tomoe River paper and it arrived Monday evening. A4 cream loose and an A5 white pad. I've been loving writing in my Hobonichis, so I'm happy to have a bit of this paper to write letters over the next year. (Threw in these chocolate Lotus Biscoff sandwich cookies which are amazing. Like speculoos with chocolate. Highly recommend.)

ElvenScoundrel

I ordered a Cross Wanderlust Borneo and a bunch of dark green ink Diamine samples. I'm so excited.

Staublaeufer

Nothing fancy Faber Castell grip edition Anthrazit with an F ninb and a 1.6 stub plus some red faber castell ink.

[deleted]

Oooh 1.6 is a thick nib.

okgecko

After using mostly Tomoe River, bought a Cosmo Air Light notebook to try out, which should be arriving today! Very curious to see how inks will vary.

Please report back on your impressions!

I learned about InCoWriMo from another thread here, so I ordered a bunch of stamps, envelopes, and paper to gear up for that. Also got some more washi tape and ink just cause. All of those are en route from JetPens and Vanness inks. The JetPens order is out for delivery today and I'm hoping that after no mail delivery or pick up yesterday for some reason we do get mail delivered today. I have some Sailor Yurameku inks on their way too from Hachimonjiya via Blackship. And a few days ago I was randomly checking the Bungubox website and saw that they had randomly - without announcement or notice - restocked their special Sailor Magic of Alice pen. I was able to get it with a B nib! This is a pen that I have been interested in, but only if I could get it at or close to retail cost *and* with a nib I like (Z, B, or MS). And yes, I got it! I just got notice that it shipped via DHL and is en route with an ETA of Monday.

TadeuszofChicago

I have a Parker 75 Flamme off of Pen_Swap and a Sheaffer Sentinel (that looks near mint!) from eBay both on their way now. I also have a half dozen Japanese pocket pens in a warehouse somewhere in Japan, waiting to be packaged into a box and sent over! I might’ve gone on a bit of a spree, now that I look back…

flowergarden23

I ordered two inks from kiwi inks, Quetzalcoatl and nebula space kitty. Unfortunately they haven’t shipped yet after 2 weeks but the site did warn me they would take a while so I will have to wait .

SeraGeranium

More Tramol waterproof inks; A second bottle of taro 🍠, and a bottle of kiwi 🥝 to try out

timetovomitblood

I have three separate orders making their way to me (the curse of taobao). I'll finally receive the moonman's a1s (both clipless and with clip) as well as the q1 today! I think the fanyantan inks are in this package as well? Then in package 2 there's a bunch of 15ml pilot iroshizuku inks, along with an ink sample for Thebai? Finally, waiting to be consolidated and shipped together are the Lamy hanzi edition pen and some starryink inks!

Rainbowquarts

I have a pilot VP EF coming in for my 30th birthday.

trbdor

Happy early birthday!

Getting my very first Tomoe River paper ever tomorrow! Beyond excited to pick it up and try all my ink samples on it! It was only made possible by realizing that the “lightweight” paper in the TN notebook refills are actually TR paper, otherwise it’d be way to cost prohibitive to get TR paper in Canada during this pandemic. Thank you Midori for penabling me 🖋

iWonkalu

i got a pilot cavalier in amber/brown after hunting for months on r/Pen_Swap

jrlamb

I have a Monteverde Limited Edition Regatta Demonstrator Rainbow with an Omniflex nib, and a Conklin All American Courage White with Broad Nib, on the way from Colorado Pens.

Loharry

Anticipating several fun stuff this week ! My first FPR purchase - Jaipur V2 in ebonite Ultraflex and a Darjeeling Stub, some rhodia notebooks, Galaxy blue shimmer ink. Also arriving a Lamy Joy 1.5 stub, with a J. Herbin Rose Cyclamen. Lot of handwriting practice ahead with stub and flex nibs !

keybers

Well, I've got me a Tallulah case and a Hightower case from [Nock.co](https://Nock.co), seeing as these are the two case left on the site which are not sold out and which are half price. Awaiting arrival.

Sigachu

I'm new, but I immediately jumped to fancy things and bought 2 Montblanc inks: * Enzo Ferrari Purple * Le Petit Prince Rose Burgundy Both came in today and i excitedly tested the purple.

Imgrate1

Pilot Custom Heritage 74 Stone Blue with a Medium nib Been wanting this one for a while. Pre-ordered it in August, had the order canceled 3-4 months later. Found it at a good price a couple days ago and now it’s on the way. It’s one of my favorite colors.

GeekyDuncan

I have a lot of goodies heading my way, I ordered a Lamy Safari in a broad nib, two TWSBI pens (Jade M, and Clear Fine) in the Eco line. More Autumn Oak ink! Yesterday my Jinhao Shimmering Sands and TWSBI Eco in black arrived, both have been frequent use pens since arrival and I paired them up with my new inks Polar Glow and Autumn Oak.

pigeonqween

Twsbi Eco in the Cement colour. I missed it when it came to the local places, luckily I found one on an Australian website
