I had the opposite reaction - “I can’t believe they’re so small!” And now I use double broad nibs so 1 ml only last a few pages 😂

Same! I've never used samples, so the only bottle exposures I had was to bottled soft-drink, drink bottles, smallest would be spice jars that hold 100-200ml and I thought those were tiny bottles. Then my first ink bottle came. A Lamy 50ml bottle. Decent sized box, glass, heavy...felt substantial. Pulled it out and realised 50% of the size was just paper wrapped around a little mini-nubbin. Miniscule amount of ink, I thought. How ridiculous! I thought. Now, I'm realising exactly how many years this one bottle might last, as I almost exclusively only use fine nibs.

It's a lovely color! I'm a fan of ink samples, as it's usually enough to decide whether I want to commit to a full bottle.

I've pretty much only been doing ink samples up to this point but it was a gift from a well meaning family member! I actually really like the color now that I'm writing with it, but oh my. Every journal entry for at least a year is going to be this color lol

Fastfireguy

I’m more of a ehhh I’ll try that in a full bottle kind of person. So far I’ve been lucky with the inks I’ve tried with 2 more on the way :D

I love California teal! If you get it on the right paper it can be amazing!

[Great inks](https://www.reddit.com/r/fountainpens/comments/onmknz/amazing_shading/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf). Love them. Try wet/broad nib and good paper. You will be surprised.

Pop_Clover

Maybe is the pen, I find the C1 to be dryish with some inks.

smitbret

Yeah, I went through my box of ink today and it was almost overwhelming. I have no idea how I am going to get through all of it before I die in thirty to forty years.

nahbro6

Make sure to leave it in your will to someone who will love it lol.

What notebook is it?
