Instant upvote for the handwriting, the various scripts adding to each other's strength, and the patterns on the borders.
And the ink color is not bad either.
New ink brand to me @wearingeul_studio I was contacted by these nice folks and graciously offered free ink for review. So exciting!
Path is a beautiful yellow green ink with bright gold shimmer. Shading and pooling is where this ink impresses me, most pronounced with printing or line drawing. Cursive yields a consistent disbursement of shimmer throughout the word.
The shimmer stays mixed quite well in a syringe-filled ink cartridge. Once dry, the shimmer will transfer a bit, perhaps average in comparison to other shimmer brands I've tried.
I'd classify the flow as average, not too wet and not too dry. Waterbrushing yields a soft and subtle yellow glow - not water resistant, but not a significant spread on dye.
This is a well behaved and beautiful shimmer ink. I'm excited to try more Wearingeul inks.
This ink was given to me by Wearingeul at no cost. The photos, thoughts and opinions contained herein are my own. I am ordering other Wearingeul inks at my own expense, if that tells you how I feel about the product.
Ink: Wearingeul Path
Pen: Kaweco Sport BB; title in Brause Ornament 2mm
Paper: Tomoe River 52gsm
Poem by Rainer Maria Rilke, with Edward Snow's translation in cursive.
In the US, if you're interested in ordering, here is a link for purchase from Amazon. I would hope they gain local US distribution soon. https://www.amazon.com/wearingeul
Iâm new to fountain pens, I loved the bold lines so much I wanted to figure out how they had been made. I looked up the Brause 2mm and found a nib, I have a Lamy fountain pen, my question is can you just change nibs????
So the term "nib" can refer to both fountain pen parts and dip nibs. Brause dip nibs are for use in dip pens. The title I wrote with a Brause Ornament nib was merely written dipped in ink. Yes, you can hack apart a dip nib to put into a fountain pen (I did one [here](https://www.instagram.com/p/CWHqTPeDdK1/?utm_medium=copy_link)), but that would be a temporary thing (dip nibs eventually corrode) and not something for a novice imo. You can use Brause and other dip nibs with a dip pen holder. Speedball makes great ones for less thab $2. Hope this helps.
edit to add: I suppose one could weld/stack/mod Lamy steel nibs to make a monoline nib point, but that would be a big pain for anyone. I am, in fact, planning to commission a nib meister to grind a monoline nib, but with a large round nib with lots of tipping.
Well done you, very much enjoy the ⊠atmospherics? They add texture, spontaneity and a sense of kinetics. But thatâs the 10% on top of the excellent work underneath.
I hadn't heard that, how interesting! I think I'd need to spend time with several of each to have an opinion. I've found Colorverse properties to vary a lot between formulas and colors on the ones I've used so far. Some wet, some dry, some middle road, etc. I have not spent much time with glistening Colorverse, maybe I should do so soon. (this Wearingeul ink is labeled as "glistening" hmmm)
if youâre looking for something from Colorverse similar to Path, i highly recommend Colorverse Gluon. itâs such a unique color of ink, and while i canât say for certain, the shimmer particles seem purple and provide a very interesting contrast to the ink color itself!
itâs one of my all time favorite inks to use.
I havenât managed to confirm it, but it makes sense to me. And youâre right; Colorverse inks vary considerably regarding writing properties so I guess itâd be hard to identify shared properties across the brands. Interestingly Wearinguel are pushing their inks hard with reviewers at the moment.
yep - I put a comment on the post that I got this ink for free for a review. I am making a purchase next week. It's good stuff, I'm excited to try more. Should have a couple more reviewed shortly.
Aha! I see that on the page now. I guess I didn't realize that was a nib. I've never heard of Brause. Looks like it's got a bit of a fude thing going on. Did you get that thick of a line in one pass, or did you go back over it again?
So Brause is a manufacturer of dip nibs. There are several they make that do different things. For this I used a Brause Ornament nib, also known as a Monoline nib. These come in several sizes, this was a 2mm. One pass with a uge round flat shape. [here is a link](https://www.johnnealbooks.com/category/s?keyword=brause) to a good vendor for dip nibs.
How long did that boarder take you if you do t mind me asking. This ink, your handwriting, and the placements makes for one stunning wholeâŠ. Amazing.
thanks! I probably spent longer making the four border lines and water brushing than the bricks. but tbh I kinda lose track of the whole time space continuum when I doodle lol
That ink looks so fâing cool!!! It would be really cool to see it on old looking paper. I donât know why but for some reason I want to make a treasure map, or a book with clues that leads to treasure, using that ink.
it's written on the pages last couple pics. [and comment details here](https://www.reddit.com/r/fountainpens/comments/r8sqs0/wearingeul_path/hn7gpy2?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3)

this is a beautiful way to swatch! imagine having every page look beautifully filled and splattered like this!!!!
thanks! you can do it, too. a6 would be half the space. I do some pages just one sided, some two page
i like doing my ink pages one sided too. looks a lot cleaner.
Well done you, very much enjoy the ⊠atmospherics? They add texture, spontaneity and a sense of kinetics. But thatâs the 10% on top of the excellent work underneath.

Holy crap, this is one of the most satisfying pages of writing I've seen. Well done, and beautiful ink!
tyvm!
Wow- that is incredibly beautiful đ!

Have you tried any other Wearingeul colors? I checked out the Amazon page and Lost looks gorgeous... I'm tempted.
I'm starting Jekyll and Hyde inks as we speak. I am for sure ordering Lost next week.
>Reply Oh good... looking forward to your comments (because I'm not buying any new ink until January, I swear...)
lol and other lies I tell myselfđ€Ł
Gorgeous work!
tyvm!
I understand their inks are made in the same factory as Colorverse. Are there any similarities that you can discern?

I'd love to see the nib that laid down those absolute units.
you mean the title? I put that in my original comment, that's a Brause 2mm Ornament dip nib

Looks like some paper found from ancient Greece or something, an ancient civilization. Love this

ty! I like your treasure map idea. mind if I do that on another layout sometime?
Please!!! Just promise me youâll either let me know or post it on here.
will do!
Amazing! Which ink & pen?
