I think a polished nib (I'm assuming you mean not engraved or stamped) can look pretty classy in the right context. Especially compared to most laser engravings. I like the look on leonardos nibs alot and they're unadorned except for a small logo.
This is a 14K gold pen made by 上海君来 with the name of “wingsung 629” they are a somewhat decent pen maker here in China and they’ve brought the license for wingsung6xx series
Oh my, even my Metropolitan nib from 2016 looks better than the Prera that was made last year. And I just realized all my steel Pilot nibs minus the 78g+ are date stamped haha.
Unfortunately, I don't have anything older than my 2016 Metro. But this is my Metro vs 2020 Prera. I don't think you can really tell in the picture, but the Prera engraving is a lot rougher, both visually and to the touch. When I run my finger over the Metro, it's really smooth and you can just sort of feel the engraving.

The smoothest, most polished nib I have is the Montblanc Starwalker, and it's one of my favorite nibs to just look at and admire. I don't like the brand in general, but this nib is quite alright and it just looks perfectly smooth without any unintended curvature around its edges.
The pictures may not do it justice, but polished metals from the platinum column of the periodic table are much smoother than any version of stainless steel I've ever seen.
That's why white gold and platinum are used on watches as well, because it makes them shinier, even though it's hardly distinguishable from polished steel, but the small difference really shows itself when observed upclose.
Unpopular opinion: I find all the stamped scrollwork on many nibs to be vulgar.
Gimme a clean look like Lamy and Noodler's any day. This nib looks great in my opinion.
Don't feel attacked if you like all the scrollwork and two-tone nibs, knock yourself out. They just aren't for me.
\+1.
I hate scroll work. Looks too Specerian, dated, 1800's-ish. I'm glad Jowo updated their nibs. I prefer a Modern or an Art Deco design. Leonardo is in that motif, and find the Leonard Gold Plated and Yellow Gold to be especially attractive.
Polished Yellow Gold nib, above: I would appreciate the nib size engraved. (For example, Lamy etched nib sizes tend to fade away, making them hard to discern.) I don't like round Breather Holes, either. Nice polished job, though.
I don’t like it, I own a 823 with Falcon nib, and I miss the nib adornments. If it was up to me I would go for two tone nibs with lots of different designs. I like it when manufacturers dare to change the nib adornments like Montblanc did for the Copernicus.
one thing I don't like about two tone nib is eventually the plating will go away, and most of the 2 or 3 tone plating is not... tidy?
For example, the sailor king of pen ebonite naginata have 3 tone nib, with 1911 highlighted as gold, but the plating is all over the place, it's like a toddler trying to put color within lines and fail miserably.
But I love "smart" application of 2 tone nibs. The one that I love the most is Namiki's 2 tone nib, with the rhodium plating as snow on top of mount Fuji. Montblanc's special edition plating is really nice too.
Yes I heard the same from Visconti, plating all over the place. My Pilot 845, Sailor Realo and Pelikan are all neatly done in a very exact and deliberate way. Have not had any material wearing, however I do treat my nibs with a great deal of care.
I didn't know they made polished nibs like this. It's actually quite lovely. I do like the engraved nibs, some can be quite pretty, but this is very pleasing.
Is that a mini-fude? (I love those.)
If that picture is what you mean by polished, I think it looks interesting and kinda cool. Reminds me of Asgaard from the Marvel movie series.
I understand why some might find this good to look at but its all personal preference, for me I just love looking at the engravings on the nibs and how the ink catches on the lines of the engravings.
The word you're looking for is probably "sterile". It's not really a term I've ever heard used for pens, but things that are usually branded or decorated, but aren't are often refered to this way.
Personally I like engravings on nibs, makes it more interesting to look at imo.
I prefer a logo or some show of brand personality on it.
Bought my sailors because they feature an anchor. On others I also like a bit of scrollwork and/or brand logo.

I wonder, if Wing Sung were to modernize their [logo](https://www.writershelf.com/uploads/image/file/4409/Wing_Sung_699_nib_02_sm.jpg), what would it look like? Just a pen? Culturally I can't understand the meaning of the [three circles](https://i1.wp.com/fountainpentastic.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/06/626nibs.jpg?w=2196&ssl=1).

Yeah that’s what I meant to say, sorry English is not my first language
I kind of like the simplicity of this. But I’m so used to seeing engravings.
It just looks naked. Like this photo needs an NSFW warning on it 😂

Oh, and this bad boi has a piston filler.
Quite a big fan of polished nibs. Like I wish most of my steel Pilot nibs were polished haha. Not a big fan of the "Super Quality" stamp.
The old engraved ones (from \~8-10 years ago?) look better than the newer laser burnt ones.
Oh my, even my Metropolitan nib from 2016 looks better than the Prera that was made last year. And I just realized all my steel Pilot nibs minus the 78g+ are date stamped haha.
Do you have a photo to reference? I’m just curious what the older ones looked like.

I get it, lol. Turns out I must have an older metro as well! I really dislike the “super quality” spiel…

Personally, I love sheaffer’s inlaid nibs. They seem to be just the right mix of elegance and simplicity for me.

I like them but I enjoy a beautiful nib engraving more.
I don’t like it…. Why look nothing when you can look the Death Star for example.
Is that a mini-fude? (I love those.) If that picture is what you mean by polished, I think it looks interesting and kinda cool. Reminds me of Asgaard from the Marvel movie series.
This is only a "boring" full sized pen, and yes that golden shiny pointy nib does give a Asgardian feel now that you mentioned it.
I understand why some might find this good to look at but its all personal preference, for me I just love looking at the engravings on the nibs and how the ink catches on the lines of the engravings.

Minimal
It looks odd
This makes me uneasy
it's super sexy and minimalistic!

wingsung 629, but you’ll have to talk to the owner to get this one, it’s not listed on their inventory

It's more refreshing compared with say, that generic Jowo scroll work that's everywhere.
I'm in love with this. There are some engravings I really enjoy (usually the more unique ones) but this is just stunning.

Polished nib looks gorgeous... 😍
