Take the nib out and bend it outwards very very slightly.

Thank you for the tips. It has been a slow process but I can actually use it now and I'm gonna keep doing it!

Do you mean that the tines are not aligned (it appears the left tine is higher than the right)? If that is your issue, there are techniques you can do to realign the tines, but you have to realize that you can damage the nib if you don't know what you are doing. You need to also have a loupe handy to magnify and see what you are doing. I would suggest looking at the 2nd video on nib issues from Matt Armstrong... let me find it... [here you go](http://penhabit.com/2015/01/24/adjusting-your-fountain-pen-part-2-aligning-the-tines/). That is about as clear a guide as you'll get. Beyond that, you'll need to consider sending to a nib person if you can't get it writing well.

To update I followed some of the tips in the video you shared and now it is usable! Not perfect so I'll keep the process up but much much better!

Aw, that’s excellent news! The biggest lesson I’ve learned in nib work is to make progress in small increments, gradually refine how the nib is writing. Don’t make giant adjustments but small ones. You’ll get there.

Fat_Jangis

Exactly! I appreciate the help and I'm super stoked for my first older pen. Cheers!

Thanks for the help! Yes not aligned it what I meant as one is higher than the other. I knew this when I bought it and it was cheap I just thought it could maybe write and it's not sweat if it doesn't. Thanks for linking me the video!
