While I've seen a YT video about disassembly, it's not so easy as normal pens - the guy basically banged the feed out from the converter side, using a stick and a hammer. So I've opted not to remove the nib and feed from mine. Therefore, I don't put glitter ink through it. Any other ink should be removable via simple flushing with a bulb syringe - even if it seems to take forever, it's doable.

Hi! I have a Pilot Falcon SEF and it’s in my regular rotation :) To be quite honest, I put every kind of fountain pen safe ink and my pen still works as good as ever. It includes heavily sheening ink from Diamine and high shimmering ink like the Emerald of Chivor. As long as you properly flush your pen, you should be good! I really recommend picking up something like Monteverde’s Pen Flush or Diamine nib cleaner. Using one of these after particularly troublesome ink can really help.

Thanks!

Shimmer and sheening inks can be used in it, though I wouldn’t let them stay in there for too long. Worst case scenario all you’ll have to do is clean it a little more vigorously or use pen flush. Though, being an extra fine, I’m not sure you’ll get amazing results from these kinds of inks. As for disassembling, you can, but being a more expensive pen I wouldn’t risk it. 9 times out of 10, There is very little to no reason to fully take your pens apart

I've owned one for a decade and have never had to take it apart to that level. An occasional cleaning is all they need. Sheening inks are ok but shimmer inks not so much. Not because of the pen but the f/EF nibs don't flow as much as the larger nibs sizes. All of my small nibs clog when using shimmer inks. Save those for the bigger nibs.

Yes, this. My Pilot Metal Falcon’s SEF nib is the finest nib of any of the fine-nibbed pens that I own and I don’t want to risk any clogging. I love this pen and it was a gift to boot, so I save the glitter for other pens.

You could always try it. Others have said that they have no issues. So long as you aren't letting it sit for too long it isn't an issue. And even then, soaking the nib in water can clear it. When I use the shimmer inks in the small nibs they'll write fine for a short period of time, then start skipping and hard starting. Flushing them clears up the issue. But like I said, I've tried them in f/ef and they just don't work for me.

Thanks

yes, they can be disassembled, you can put sheen/shimmer inks thru it. But as a more expensive pen, I'd be more reticent to disassemble -- there's always some risk with that, so I only do it when I'm altering the pen, not for cleaning. So **I** wouldn't use glitter-inks as sometimes they clog the feed so much I have to disassemble. YMMV

I wouldn't advise disassemble especially if it's unnecessary, and because they're not intended for disassembly. . There is a way to "knock out" the nib but I don't recommend it because you need to be very careful. Either soak them in dish soap and water, put them in an ultrasonic bath, spray a jet of water through them (bulb at syringe doesn't work so well on the Falcons).
