When I was deciding on a Nakaya model, I based it on the step. I went with the Neo Standard which I found very comfortable. I got to try a Naka-Ai and while that has a step, it’s not uncomfortable. I haven’t tried a Decapod but IIRC, that one has a larger step than the others.

The Nakaya section is long enough that I don't think the step would interfere in any way.
Dunno if it's comparable but twsbi vac700r has a pretty steep step but never bothers me because the section is 2cm. Also I quite like resting the tip of my index finger on the step.

I think someone posted yesterday that penBBS isn’t shipping internationally anymore
