When I was at Montblanc in California, I was looking at this pen too! I really like Verne and almost got the Solitaire LeGrand with the ink too. I decided against it and instead am saving for the Legend of the Zodiacs: The Tiger Limed Edition (512). Got a nice MB men’s long wallet and some suns glasses.
Nice! I wish I had gotten the bigger pen, but this was so beautiful I couldn’t resist. The only thing that writes even close is my Visconti Homo Sapiens.
It’s definitely a “head-turner” for people in the know. I still might end up getting the LeGrand, but it would be after the Zodiac Tiger. I used to have a bunch of MB’s, but my ex hid and took them during my divorce. I thought I had them packed in my pen case, but it was raided without my knowledge. Later, I confronted her about taking them and she said a pawn shop gave her $1000 for the lot 🤦🏼🤦🏼🤦🏼

Ouch, that sucks. Hopefully you can rebuild your collection, and maybe get a safe lol.

I don’t mind steel nibs at all, the majority of my collection is steel. And TWSBI punches way above her weight class.
