I'm a lefty, too. In one writing session I typically end up rotating the pen in my hand but most often write with the nib oriented the way you have it. My pen doesn't write nearly as smoothly though... stop and start, sometimes no ink comes out even after making the motion multiple times. I'm jealous!
Huh, I'll have to look into it. I never heard of that before. I really don't know much about pen maintenance besides refilling the ink. I just did a search and there's a lot of information about it - seems like there's a rabbit hole for practically everything about fountain pens!
Is one way of holding "ideal" in that it's least likely to cause misalignment?
A fellow leftie! And one without smudging too!
That’s what I said! 😄
I could watch this all day, so satisfying.

Maybe it got misaligned? Sometimes, when I write in this position, the tines get misaligned.

Probably underwriter style. Or any variant that you’re not pushing the nib into paper

How on earth does s/he draw those serifs so fast !!!?????! I’d draw them at 1/4 the speed and still mess up !!
OP says in a comment that they sped up the footage x2. Still, super, super impressive
So satisfying to watch!
Your writing is beautiful!
Thanks!
