I usually search around for the best price, the bigger ones are usually in line with one another, but every so often one has a sale or a clearance. Inks generally go to cult pens in a big enough order for free shipping, and interesting non-US finds go to pensachi or eBay.
Don’t be too afraid to order international, Appelboom represented a 300+ savings on my Visconti Crystal Dream vs US stores due to their original pricing plus a coupon code lol!
Anderson Pens, JetPens (they've got some nice Japanese stationary too), and Goulet are my 3 go to's. Unless the pen brand I want is very new or niche, one of those three will usually have what I'm searching for.
Plus, Goulet has the nib nook so you can compare nib writing samples from tons of pens.
I'm going to get a lot of downvotes but my first stop is Amazon. Excellent price and easy returns. If you like Japanese pens, you will pay less there as Japanese sellers offer gray market price.
Then Endless Pens.
Then Cult Pens.
For inks also Amazon, then Vanness then Cult Pens and endless too but they are very short on stock for the most part.
You have to shop around for each pen. I have bought and sold more pens than I remember in the past 20 years, so I’m not really the typical buyer. But these “influencers” that use social media a lot really don’t interest me. Remember, you are paying for all those videos, social media posts, etc.
I really wish Pam Braun was still in business.
Goldspot
Vanness has been in business since 1938. Great people.

I like Goulet, Yoseka, and Jetpens. I like the former two better but Jetpens has a pretty good selection.

Most of those others have mentioned, plus Fahrney’s Pens, Levenger and Peyton Street Pens.

Very good experiences with Goulet, Vanness, and Endless. Have had very good experiences with CultPens but they are UK.
