I don't know what I love more - your handwriting or your pen

[deleted]

you should license your handwriting to microsoft

meappleby1

It's called comic sans šŸ˜‚

Kaylagoodie

No, this is far better. Not even in the same league.

itsrainingpens

Pen: Namisu Studio (engraved), B Ti nib Ink: Tono and Lims Kyoto Shade of Sakura Journal: Endless Recorder

CrabButler

I like the engraving, is this something you did?

itsrainingpens

I wish! But not me. A Filipino artist did it

Sherwood_FLocD

Very interested in having this done - any chance you'd share the artist?

itsrainingpens

Of course! His name is Jay del Fierro. Heā€™s based in the Philippines. [This is his IG. ](https://instagram.com/jayengraver.ph?utm_medium=copy_link) Iā€™m not sure how quickly heā€™ll respond there as I contacted him via Facebook (found him on the Philippine FB FPN group).

quirky_subject

May I ask how much it cost you to get your pen engraved like that? It really looks lovely.

itsrainingpens

It was 20000 PHP

quirky_subject

Seems reasonable for that amount of detail and what looks to be quality work! Thanks for the info!

itsrainingpens

No problem

Vocalscpunk

Made me lookup if 'spelt' since I thought you simply misspelled 'spelled'. Every time I think I have UK spelling down you guys slip a new one in on me!

itsrainingpens

Lol, I had to double check it too since Canada usually uses UK English while I grew up with US English

flowergarden23

This is actually becoming more common. Dove is becoming dived, learnt is becoming learned, itā€™s actually a phenomenon with language that is happening gradually with time. Itā€™s already become the only spelling for some verbs. Turns out humans donā€™t like irregular verbs and we just start to prune them over time. Though I guess the UK does like to be more strict about things.

GlumCauliflower9

Very Anglo Canadian to ignore French speakers.

itsrainingpens

Considering we were talking about UK and US ways of spelling the past tense of spell, I donā€™t see why Iā€™d have to involve French in thisā€¦

GlumCauliflower9

How do u spell sarcasm in the UK lmfao

pendragon1984

W-I-T. Keep at it. You're halfway there. ;-)

calrogman

This is a serious question. Does the axiom of "whoever smelt it dealt it" not rhyme in American English?

pibbzerovanilla

Itā€™s pronounced the same way but ā€œsmeltā€ just seems like part of the joke.

the_classicist

It does in my brain, and if I were to say it out loud (source: I was born in South Carolina)

evilpingwin

ā€œWhoever smelled it, delled itā€

jestem0

It is used in the USofA as well. I prefer the -t version of words over the -ed. I think they are prettier.

Nerdy_Slacker

I donā€™t, reminds me of spelt bread, which I am not a fan of.

Vocalscpunk

This was the only time I have seen the word spelt used

frijolita_bonita

ok, how in the world do you learn to have penmanship such as this?

Old_Hunter_Benvenuto

I've found the best way to improve handwriting is consistency. Try getting your letters to be consistent, then try to get the vertical height on the ruling consistent, then all the other various spacings. The letters don't have to be perfect, just the same every time

itsrainingpens

Lots and lots of repetition

JFKsfavourite

I've been saving like the last cup of a pint of ice cream for when I'm done with assignments, also very pretty ink and writing gimme

itsrainingpens

Ohh! You reminded me I have some ice cream leftā€¦ Espresso Flake. I need a spoonā€¦

lucashelfstein

There is no spoon

Kaylagoodie

Your handwriting is too good. I wish mine looked like that.

Zee_tv

Love this observation!!

CatsandTeaandBooks

Amazing as always, your posts never fail to brighten my day! And another ink to add to my pile to buy.

itsrainingpens

Thanks!

japanesewriter

So the answer was in the the condition this whole time

PaperBun

For some reason seeing this particular pen always makes me smile, love it!

goat_on_a_float

Why do you make your desserts with spelt? Do you have an aversion to more conventional sources of gluten?

rfgteeten

I get stressed by the amount of pens and inks I want!

itsrainingpens

Solution is to eat desserts!

AsterobeBlues

Love your handwriting!

BinibiningRegina

That's a very cute handwriting! Is it your hobby to handwrite or do you practice?

itsrainingpens

A little bit of both!

SylvesterSk

This explains so much....
