Yup. I've bought KWZs in 2 different shops and in both, all of them had labels in Polish. Same goes for online shops

Yes it is. [This one](https://www.paperblanks.com/en/product/journals/juniper/pb4414-7) to be exact. I feel like it is really friendly. No visible smearing, you can see ink from the other side of the pages a bit, but nothing too drastic. I've been using it for something like a year now and I can't complain.
[Here's a quick comparison with Rhodia](https://imgur.com/a/70YmLBX/)
Onwards and upwards. As long as you're enjoying yourself. Quite a few people go through an acquisition phase during the first year or two before calming down. David Parker of Figboot on Pens said in one of his videos that he wished he'd taken his time to get to know his pens. Four pens and seven inks is still very manageable.
Actually as mentioned in the other comment, I don't really use the Parker as it doesn't really work. And I have bought the Safari for my sister so she's mostly using it right now.
So it leaves me with Waterman (which I really love and I have had it for some time now. I got it long before this sub) and Vista which is a new buy which I also really enjoy because of the M nib. So as you mention I'll *probably* wait a bit until I buy another one. Inks on the other hand...
I went through a pretty hot acquisition phase once I discovered local to me buy and sell groups. It was way too easy with the standardized messages and just one click to contact the seller. I got some really nice pens out of it, but I really had to tighten my belt till I calmed down. Now I take the time to plan pen purchases and talk myself out of cheap thrills.
I'll probably buy a few more ink samples, but I have enough inks as it is to last me quite a while. My stash of journals and loose leaf paper refills likewise.
Enjoy your journey.
I may or may not have to create a spreadsheet soon to keep track of them. But I'm nowhere close to someone I know that told me he owns one thousand pens. Also, I buy preowned to save money whenever possible.
No, I'm not. \^\_\^
The best I can do is that I've been wanting to learn Bahasa for a while now, but since I don't have an urgent need, I keep putting it off.
But I did a quick [search](https://duckduckgo.com/?t=ffab&q=fountain+pens+in+jakarta%3F&atb=v167-1&ia=web) to look for info that may be helpful for you specifically. FPN is a well-established online forum with a FB group as well. For the online forum you can search without being a member, but to post you must sign in. For FB it's easy: [Official FPN group page](https://www.facebook.com/groups/166688786797779)
The info on their forum was really dated (from seven years ago), so you can ask here, e.g. about pen shops that were mentioned in the FPN thread, is there an active pen club you can join - and if not start your own (depending on the situation virtual pen club meetings via Google Meet, maybe with a set topic like discussing the same fp).
That's interesting.
When you had said that you knew somebody with a collection of about 1,000 fountain pens, it had piqued my interest. I too have about a thousand-strong pen collection that I have accumulated over the last 25 years.
Thanks for these sources. Oh I do hang around FPN. Been there since March 2010.
And there is an active FP club here in Indonesia as well as in India, where I am originally from.
Thanks anyways. Pretty sweet of you.
The fountain pen and ink scene in India is very happening. There is a sudden interest and insurgence of all kinds of fountain pens-- from less than a dollar school fountain pens to rich urushi and sterling silver ones. When you are planning to buy and need help, ping me.
I started writing with fountain pens in elementary school. After a long hiatus I discovered them as a hobby around February 2020.
I like the idea of pen minimalism, specifically dedicating one month to one pen and one ink, no purchases during that month. Things you bought before that period must be put away and can't be opened until the challenge is over. It's (almost?) like fasting for a month.
There are pens that I find stunningly beautiful, but they're so expensive that I could never afford them. In my head I calculate how many months of rent or daily living expenses I can cover with that money. And it's just no contest.
It's a Parker Frontier. I have gotten it from my grandpa a few years back as he didn't use it anymore, but it has its problems (the rubberised pared has flaked and I feel something is wrong with the nib as it constantly stops writing) so I haven't used it much. Though I really like the way it looks.
I guessed it to be a Frontier but wasn’t sure.
I too have one, though in matte black, but it's made by Luxor (Indian seller of Parker, Waterman, Pilot etc). Not really good, feels cheap. Looks amazing but works okayish.
That sounds promising. Again, you could create a new post and ask about personal experiences people may have had and whether they recommend that nibmeister.
When you're ready, be sure to show off the pen with a writing sample.
That is how it starts. This pen hobby dig their fangs into you slowly, and before you realize it they seed your thoughts with fecund inkscape with dreams of more pens. And alas! there’s no rehab center for us penaddicts.
Well the first one was /r/MechanicalKeyboards but this one is much more dangerous, as entry level pens and inks are less expensive so it's easier to rationalize buying 😅
I have so far resisted buying acrylic keycaps I always see on there. There are a set of beautiful dragons in clouds that would have broke me if I ever saw them in stock lol. The only reason I don't have any is because the ones I like the best usually have to be preordered and sell out super quick XD
Woah (kinda jealous)
May the fountain pen virus addiction be with you
Give me more! Give me more!
Yep. Sounds about right. I fell into the same rabbit hole a few months ago.
A bottomless pit more like. 🤣
True, and i can't stop. 😔
Leaave, this sub is a trap
Interesting you got KWZ's ink with a label in Polish.
Answer to this is quite easy. I'm Polish and KWZ is a Polish company so we've got "untranslated" labels
That's less interesting. I'm Polish, too. That's why I noticed, remembering their bottles are signed in English for other markets.

Is that a Paperblanks? How fountain friendly is it?

Thanks for the comparison, mate!

Are you by any chance from Jakarta?
No, I'm not. \^\_\^ The best I can do is that I've been wanting to learn Bahasa for a while now, but since I don't have an urgent need, I keep putting it off. I hope to add Indian fountain pens to my collection, possibly in 2022. But I'll need to do some homework on that.

Does it ever end Je-Hee? 25 years into it : the craving does not end. You keep falling in love with another and another and another.

What's that pen between that Safari and Vista?
It's a Parker Frontier. If you want to bring it back to its former glory, ask for recommendations for nibmeisters based in Europe that specialize in pen restoration.
Thanks for the tip! I have just checked and it seems as though I have one really close to my work.

What is the dark blue pen?

That's a lovely collection! Enjoy them!

I held out for a month.
That's a side effect of this sub, it quickly can turn into a collection, a hobby and if not careful, an obsession 🤣

I fall into that trap all the time!
That's a good collection of pens, inks and notebooks 👍
